^ I actually fucking love that video........

Dude ....ripped warrior bsos.....is honestly one of the coolest things ever.....I was so stoked when I hit this bsos and b2b.....honestly still when I bsauce this trick I feel like Im the man

I know I havent been writing in blog alot recently but......heres what I notice about the phonex>ripped warrior attempts.

1 the phonex first looked out of control and then actually got better as the attempts went on (making the trick as energy effecient will let you focus more on the ripped warrrior) it looks like you nail the phoenix so just try to get it smoother.....specifically try to get the pixe ducking out of the way so that you can not spend so much time in the air going for the buttefly......make the butterfly super easy and try to stay on the ground instead of jumping high into the butterfly......this will give you a better feel on the ground to make a good step.....

2 about the step......your right leg has a tendency to swing way away from your other leg.....Im not positive, but pretty sure this sucks bad....I also did this so I can tell you it sucks... ......my only tip on this ...is that when you step to hit blur.....try to make your ripped warrior step more like blur.......in other words push almost straight up off the ground with your support leg.....your other leg swinging out is wasted energy ....the clipper foot is trying to hard to set the bag instead of using the energy of the pushing support leg

CONGRATS ON BLURRY TORQUE BS.....sick stuff

also ....the run that I hit on my last video with spender in it and any rev ups I did in that session were inspired by you......I am basically doing the same thing as you.....trying every session to get 20+ guiltless runs without repeating the same tricks over and over.

I hit swirling reverse swirling toe in my kitchen .....if you havent hit reverse swirling toe...try it ....its oddly weird compared to rev up.....It was harder for me at first.....not big adds but anything j boychuck hits is worth hitting .........you could even start the reverse swirl and then before your foot goes over the bag, PUSH off of your support leg and send yourself up and your toe towards the bag....the push is actually what make the reverse swirl clear.......just a thought about a random trick....

anyway.....your the man.....keep up the good work

Yo Mark! Thanks a bunch for those tips man! Glad you liked the vid. I kicked myself while reading about the high butterfly and the swinging out stepping leg. DUH. Totally noticed that when I read it. Reverse Swirling Toe is called "Blink" I think? And I definitely need to practice those. It's been on my mind since I saw a video from Suderman. Props on the Swirling Blink. Madd cool. Dude, I'm honored that I inspired some of your video. I love when I'm able to do that. You inspire me all too much in my sessions :P When I hit Frankenstein today, I was thinking about the one I saw in one of your recent vids :D

Just had an ending session of the might and had a really sick breakthrough... and a really silly-ass-goofy-ass-slightly-pathetic breakthrough :P

Highlights:

Really Sick Breakthrough
 I guess this is something you really wouldn't expect me to hit.. but I just nailed Symposium Torque bs!!! In pouring rain lol These really weren't too hard at all. Super fun trick. I hit strong relatively quickly and was about to call it a session, then I figured I'd try flipside and footed it a few times in the beginning, then sealed it. So hyped. Felt like I was Jorden.

Really Silly-Ass-Goofy-Ass-Slightly-Pathetic Breakthrough
 Hit my first Near Symp Mirage on flipside LOLOL I hit this after I hit Symp Torque bs Very awkward for the order I hit my new tricks in. I hit it flip and laughed a little, then BSOS'ed it just to seal the deal and end my session.

Tomorrow's Agenda:

NO WORK... FOOTBAG!!!

Edit: Between my last 3 or 4 posts, this has been the most epic shred day for me. So many great new strings and my strings are feeling stronger. Lovin' footbag right now.

So I wake up this morning and look at my facebook... new message... I open it up to find this...

"Hey,
found your club listing on footbag.org and would like to jam with you sometime. i live in douglassville and i usually play alone but i would love to check out the club scene. please let me know if you are getting together sometime soon and i will try to make it. thanks."

-James Christiana

+1 to the PA Crew!!! Our scene has gotten so huge in just this summer, it's ridiculous!

Hopefully this guy can meet up with us later today or maybe tomorrow. Jeremy and I planned on meeting today, maybe Jackson, Corey, Drew, and some others too.

Turns out that James character is an old skooler who is 40 years old... Also the uncle of this kid I graduated with... Small world. Going to meet up with him soon.

Kicked with Jeremy ("Catopillar" on Modified) at the Falls Spot yesterday. Got some footage. At the end you get to see me kick the footbag into the river  ...Will she ever return? And will I ever try that again? Find out at the end of the video!

But for reals, any critiques/comments would be appreciated.

great vid, jeremy looks like he's progressing wicked-fast! clippers, ATWs, mirages, guays all bsos is very promising, keep that ambi-dexterity going!

always great shred from Nick, particularly enjoyed the first link of (flip) spinning osis>ripwalk, very smooth. I would personally like to see more flip swirls and pixies. I know you can do both of them bs easily, but I'm not sure I saw either one flipside in this video, thought I saw both strong side in almost every string. Either than that, strings are looking longer and more dense, all good things brah, keep it up!

Yo thanks a lot guys. Glad you liked it and Nick, thanks for the critiques. I def need to use more flip swirls and flip pixies. I tried to use my flip swirl there once, but dropped. It's something I have to school... AS WELL AS FUCKING BUTTERFLY :\

Just got home from work and had a small session with Jackson. Jackson hit Phoenix> Near Mirage> Phoenix> Near Mirage> Phoenix! Pretty fucking nuts. He also nailed his first Assassin on his first try.

Highlights:

 Smoke bs!!!!?!?! New on both sidez! I hit the strong side on first try... ever. Like I've never actually tried the trick before and first time I decide to try it, BAM got that shit fish-nigguh. Flipside came within a few shots. So happy about that though.
 2nd Blurry Drifter ever hit and it felt so much easier than last time! Happy about that too. Tried it flipside, but it needs more time. Came close though.
 7th Fearless link: Phoenix> Blurry Whirl.. I feel like this link isn't really worth too much, since they're both some of the easiest 5's. Fearless, nonetheless. I'm more stoked on Smoke bs though.

That's all I got. Really want to rest my legs today, then shred tomorrow.

Definitely want to school more stuff before I film again... LIKE BUTTERFLY! Really? Gahdammut.

In other news, John Goode is visiting this Tuesday! We're shredding and kayaking all day. So pumped yo.

Probably kayaking later with an old friend of mine.

Late-whore.

I thought of a few challenges for you. Go for some of them if you're interested. No pressure. I was inspired by your statement about easy fearless links and I went from there, based on the little I know of your game. Not all of these are fearless.

•Swirling twirl-b whirl
•Blurry whirl-diving ss torque
•Phoenix- stepping far dyno
•Phoenix- nuclear *_________*
•Phoenix-spinning clipper-rpt EDIT impossible, so here is the new version: Phoenix-spinning clipper-r. warrior, bs
•Spinning clipper-gyro clipper-rpt
•Any order of swirl-rev.swirl-whirl-rev.whirl, bs. if you can throw zigzag and ripstein and or whirling swirl into that, it would be gravy.
•rev. swirl-twirl-rev. whirl-rpt
•gyro clipper-ripstein-rpt
•gyro clipper-nuclear ss clipper rpt
•drifter- swirl, bs / rpt (normal / simp)
•ducking osis-swirl-osis-rpt
•diving osis-swirl-repeat
•ducking osis- ducking pm bs
•as many contacts as you can get of osis- far bf- ducking clipper, rpt
•pm-atom bsos
•pm-leg-ripwalk-repeat
•drifter-stepping ss clipper, bs / rpt
•spinning clipper- stepping ss clipper-drifter-rpt

Just suggestions in case yer ever bored.

Yo Ian, thanks for those man. I already thanked you in person, but I'll do it here anyway :P

Today I took a trip up to PSU main Campus to tour my future environment. As I've hinted at, I got in touch with Ian and we had a short but fun shred session together. It was totally cool meeting up with him in the middle of that huge town. Ian's stuff is looking really good. I gave him some tips on stepping and gyro and he really got it and experimented with each for a bit and really got the feel of what I was saying. He hit the cleanest ripwalk I'd ever seen from him.

I didn't really have a lot of highlights... But this is what I got:

 Double Spinning Clipper (First time in months and now it really doesn't feel like too insane of a movement)
 Properly zoomed out of Mobius rather than just froze my osis and then zoomed. First time that ever happened.
 Marius but missed the seal

Can't wait for PSU this year.

Yo thanks a bunch, Mark! I still look at Smoke bs and can't even believe I hit that...

I emailed Flash recently, and he finally got back to me. I asked him if he had any advice on drilling and he game me a really nice reply which pretty much highlighted "School the concepts you want to be good at". Just had like a 30 minute schooling session outside and then it started to rain. And while it was raining, I stopped drilling and experimented. I thought about my earlier Marius with Ian, but something bothered me that I could only hit it on the side with my weak spin/weak osis... That just didn't make any sense... So I tried it on my other side...

 MARIUS BS!!! Brand spankin' new on my... weak...side? I guess this one really doesn't make sense, but I hit it on both sides nonetheless.... which makes this... MY SECOND 6 ADD I'VE HIT ON BS!!! Never did I think that the second one was going to be Marius, considering that it was my 9th 6 ADD on strong side. Either way... sweet. I'm going to try stringing out of it sooner or later.

I'm gonna go school some mo'.

Edit: Torque> Drifter bs

Hey thanks Joonas! I'm pretty impressed at the progress I've made recently. When I started playing, I never thought I'd get where I am now. It just goes to show you what can come out of practicing your basics. I'll try to repeat that link soon.

Drilled in my livingroom today for about an hour... Then Jackson came over while I was drilling, plopped down on my giant bean bag and started giving me bullshit ridiculous requests... "Hit Alpine Food Processor!" "No Jackson, I can't even hit Mind Bender, and I've only hit Food 4 times..." "So, do it anyway..." "No, Jackson..." "Ok, then hit Alpine Fog..." "Jackson, I can't even hit Ducking DLO..." "Pussy." "Hey Jackson... shut up". Of course that conversation was all in good fun.

After Jackson left, I went back to drilling. My legs hurt a good bit today and I was trying to drill Atom Smashers, but Carpet + Hurt Legs = Anything but Atom Smashers. So I dabbled with Drifters for a bit. Then I started playing with my Zooming. I realized I never use flip Zoom, and I also noticed I had trouble with something that is so simple. Sure I can hit Maruis bs, but I have trouble with Flip Osis> Infinity? Seriously??... So I made up this little drill to know that I'll never struggle with any of these problems again..:

 Osis> Infinity> Osis> Zooming Butterfly rpt

I got this drill rpt x3 so far, but I'm drilling with Bob tonight, so I plan on ripping this drill a new one. Out of all tricks, I can't believe I still have a slight problem with butterfly  Soon this problem will no longer exist if I have anything to do with it. Can't wait to see Bob.

Shit, sorry Tony, just got back, but we talked about you tonight, all good things :P We were talking about how great it is that you've been really sticking to your exercise and how you're really improving at footbag. You also inspired me to hit one of the following new tricks :D

So yeah, just got back from Bob's. We drilled a lot. I got a lot of good tips from drilling some of the tricks I've chose to drill recently... I tend to bail to osis out of drifter... Bob saw it, pointed it out and said I should try to get a Pdx Mirage/Whirl/Blur out of it. I tried this and it was great. I now realize how bailey my drifter> osis is. Sucks. Gonna have to fix a bitch.

Highlights:

 Flipside Pixie Muted Flapper! Woop! Kinda stoked on this. Makes me feel even weirder now that I can get this one bs. Cool Beanz!
 At the very end of the session, Bob said... "You're gonna hit Scorpion's Tail tonight." And I said, "Nah." And he said, "Just give it a try." I tried it... Scorpion's Tail.... SECOND try dude. As soon as I hit it I yelled, "Nah-Ah!" a bunch of times lol I really was blown away. That was one trick I never really thought I would hit. Really set my night.
 After hitting that one, Bob suggested I hit Blurriest since I just hit Scorp... Blurriest While I was trying this, I thought about how Tony hit Dimmiest recently, and tried that, but It's way harder, props Tony. You got me on that one man haha
 I was kind of perturbed that I knew I couldn't hit either of those flipside... So Bob schooled me in flip Paradons. And while I cannot say I've now hit flip Paradon, I HAVE completed the full double dexterity of it on flipside. First time tonight and Bob said it was deep. I wanna take a small footbag break, then start to skool my flip Paradon and hopefully hit many more than just one.

Taking a break these next 2 days. Stitching with Jeremy tomorrow. John Goode visits PA on Tuesday. Really excited for that... Footbag & kayaking all day sucka. Peace.

Greetings footbag delinquents/punk asses!

Stitched with Jeremy after work today for a while. Then Jackson got off of work and he came over to kick. He also bought a bag off of Jeremy. We kicked with it outside. I love it. That dude is really getting good at bag-stitching... and bag shredding. He hit Infinity x3 today. He just gets footbag right off the bat, I guess. Jackson almost fucked himself up on ripwalk. He stepped, then went for a huge butterfly and landed on his ankle and fell down... Hard. He didn't say anything for a bit and just kinda grabbed at his ankle. I thought the worst when I saw this go down. He sat out for a while and when we tried to get his shoe off and get him to move his foot a little, it cracked really loud and a lot of the pain went away after that. We were all relieved.

Highlights:

 Spinning Clipper> Matador
 CONTROL!!! It was great, I was stringing so well tonight and I wasn't even using a lot of my stepping of pixies, just core tricks. I had one run with drifter bs, toe whirl> whirl bs and a torque, then a lot of my other runs had some legbeaters bs in them along with some Smashers bs. I was really excited to see that my drilling was starting to pay off. In my head I had a small list of tricks that I was lining up to hit in my head. All in all, really dense guiltless runs. Tonight, I really felt my shit start to come together.

Definitely wanna take tomorrow off and let my legs rest.

In other news, this weekend, Bob and his kids are coming over to my pool and we're going to be entertaining them. Can't wait, sounds tiring and fun.

Didn't play at all today... Instead, to give my legs a rest, Jeremy and I stitched in my screen-house. Jeremy made a beautiful bag. Played so nicely. My bag wasn't too shabby either...

#26 Funbag: Rattlesnake Skin & Burgundy... 59 grams (For Mark Monistere... Trade for Quantums)

Image

Glad it's going to Mark. This is the first bag I've actually felt comfortable sending to a high-level player. Hope he likes it.

Going to try to drill my jawns tomorrow. Oh shit... Just remembered, looked on footbag.org tonight and apparently there has been a new club entry in PA Footbag... They're called Quakertown Rejects... Quakertown is like 45 minutes from here... Called the club leader and talked to him. He was very excited to hear that there were more players and he actually had about 4 or 5 other serious players. They're driving down to meet up with John Goode, my local PA crew, and myself on Tuesday. Pretty excited.

But yeah, definitely going to drill jawns tomorrow. Peace.
