Yo Trey, glad to have you aboard Modified! You don't actually post your crew anywhere, this is a website where you can do lots of different things, like what I do here in this thread, blog about my recent footbag highlights. You could actually go to "Footblogs", make a new post, title it "Quakertown Rejects" and post new tricks you and your members are hitting in your sessions, or descriptions about Q-Town's practice sessions and whatnot. You can also go to the Videos section to watch other players' (from all around the world) shred videos, or go to the trick tips forum to check out the tricks you can learn. Can't wait for our crews to meet up on Tuesday!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so definitely waited until the techincal "tomorrow" to kick again... Around 1 am, I was admiring the new bag and just kinda chillin in my livingroom, about to go upstairs and go to bed... When I get a text from Jackson, saying "HAHAHA I CAN SEE YOU". I walk outside and hear obnoxious giggling coming from behind my fence. I walk over and Jackson's squatted behind the fence in his shred shorts, giggling like a school girl. Before I had a chance to call him an idiot, he sprung up and yelled "You wanna kick?!" I, of course, said yes. Jackson hit his first flipside Pdx Mirage.
Highlights:
Little Apple bs (First time for each)
It was a short, but fun session. I'm not quite finished today, definitely having one or 2 more sessions during the technical "today" probably with Jeremy & Jackson, maybe Corey (Drew?)... but first I'm going to bed.
Edit: Great job, JOHN! Don't EVER take my top page again!1!!!11
lol Sounds like it'll be a fun big sesh though. Bring your kayak still? We'll shred for a while first, then do some 'yaking. So amped for your visit. My crew is really excited, as well.

Small session with Jackson. It was raining, so we kicked in his livingroom. Jolly good fun was had by all. Jackson had like a pretty rad 8 or 9 contact titless (though, lots of it was actually Guiltless!). After the session, Jackson worked on his flip Pixies and actually hit some (FINALLY!) That kid can duck his strong Pixie like butter and now I'm so happy that he's working his flip Pixies. He came close to flip Smear.
Highlights:
VOID VOID VOID!!!!! Finally! Pretty happy about that. My flip Drifter is still not that powerful, so once I school that more, I really hope to hit this guy on flipster.
Had a few Flip Vortex's
Sweet, dense, controlled strings with the new addition of midsting Legbeater bs and some Atomsmashers bs
Messed around with some Flip Nuke sets, and had a couple nice ones with a smooth uptime dex.
GONNA GO MESS WITH MORE NUKE SETS! BUNG-BUNG-BUNG! (Jackson just pranced into my house yelling that (BUNG-BUNG-BUNG!), so I figured it'd be a good way to end this post.... Jawn Goode's coming tomorrow! BUNG-BUNG-BUNG!
Edit: Went out and did a few flip Nuke sets... Meh. Soon maybe? Did have a couple good highlights..
Highlights:
Blurriest> Hand catch> Props from Jackson and talked about it for a second> bag toss-clipper> Scorpion's Tail> Hand Catch> More props from Jackson (Second time I've hit both of those tricks)
I can't miss DOD on strongside now! I did around 15 or so of them and they felt so nice. Really wanna learn Double Downs of my flipside now! :bad and angry face... Bangry Face:
Unfortunately, I pulled a Zac Miley and when I tried a barfly, I NAILED myself in the left nut with my heel... On a brighter note, the dex was so deep.

Something about not being able to hit Paradons and DOD's on my flipside really burned a hole into me ALL DAY LONG. So I'd finally had it and went outside to try Flip Paradons and DOD's... and I wasn't going to come back inside until I hit at least one of each trick on my flipside... I just had to hit these on flip before John got here tomorrow...F[uns]tylin' Eclectic wrote:I can't miss DOD on strongside now! I did around 15 or so of them and they felt so nice. Highlights:
My influences for wanting to put double downs in my game are (All the names that were buzzing through my head and helping drive me to get these new additions...) Bob Riefer, John Goode, Kevin Hogan, Mark Monistere, Jay Boychuk, Mike Angeski, Zac Miley, and especially Lon Smith. I used a Catobag to hit all of these... Jeremy's bags. He's selling great, highly shreddable bags for cheap. Definitely look into it, if you're looking for a new bag or want to support a newer talented stitcher in the scene. I love my Catobag.
Big day tomorrow... Kayaking with John, then shred with my local crew, John, and Quakertown Rejects (hopefully going to spark their interest in freestyle footbag), then around 6, Drew Martin is joining us since he's in town. Pretty dern excited for this.
But oh man, Paradons?... And to think... a few months back, I went in my footbag log book and crossed off Paradons, because I didn't want them in my game... What an idiot! Paradons are now easily a new favorite 4-ADD of mine, right next to Ripstein. Looking forward to having these in my game now and getting better at them, so I can maybe get Scorp on bs. I sleep very happy tonight.
Props on paradon flip! can't wait to see this new addition sometime
I got paradon strong side WAY before you and you go ahead and get it bs in what? like 3 days??? Your drilling is definitely paying off big time, dude. Probably all of those 2's you've been drilling 'til you sleep
Definitely gives me motivation to really drill my tiltless because I know
Also thanks for the til on flip double-downs, I'd definitely gonna try that out next shred

Nick: Thanks for the props. Glad that shit got you motivated. I can't wait to see you hitting long ass Guiltless strings man. If you school some of the more basic shit, you totally will get there dude.
Tony: Thanks man. I was thinking about it
Danky: ...Yeah? Well, you're stupid. And I'm never going to do Quantum sets cuz I can't lol But I can imagine the intense pain of whipping a nut from behind with that. Gotta suck. Thankfully, my nuts don't have to watch their back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So let's start off with when I woke up... I pooped. NICE. Then I got REALLY EXCITED BECAUSE JOHN GOODE WAS ON HIS WAY TO PA!!!!! When John arrived, we immediately pulled his kayak off of his roof and shot down the river... Well, maybe "shot" is the wrong word, since Jackson decided to tie a rope, attached to a blow-up raft, to the back of my kayak and take on the position of what I like to call, "DEAD-ASS-WEIGHT". So our trip was a lot slower than intended. I showed John his first Crayfish. He lives in an area with no Crayfish, so these were the first ones he'd ever seen in person. He also caught one, which was cool. Then further down river, John tried to catch some dogs. They were actually ducks, but I let him have his fun
We had an awesome time kayaking today. Too much fun shit to be accounted for
After the Kayak session, John, Jackson and I met up with Jeremy, Drew Martin, and The Quakertown Rejects. Jeremy hit his first Drifter! Crispy, but still rad. Dude's getting so sick so quick. He was also hitting some nice stepping sets. John was killin it. Spilling Janiwalkers all over the place. They looked so good. Little bit more time and they'll be called Johnnywalkers.. Maybe not, but John's getting good at them lol Drew was hitting some good stuff. I love his Merlins. They always confuse me, then I remember what it is
Jackson was really stringing tonight. It was great to see.
Quakertown Rejects get their own paragraph. I brought freestyle shoes for all these guys to use, however, only 3 of them could use them since one guy had size 13 feet, and the other guy, I guess my shoes were too big for him. First off, all 5 guys (Trey, Troy, Tyler, Nate, Mike) are great hackers. All bothsided kicks, insides, outsides, and toes, along with basic stalls and some 2's and 3's. All of these guys were super cool to chill with today and kick with. Trey... This guy seems to be the leader of the crew. He's got some wicked flyers and he's on the verge of getting good at Mirages and some other stuff. He really understands how his legs move. Troy... He was the size 13, but he's got some great b2b outside kicks (They called them "Rainbows" lol I thought that was funny, since back when I kicked in intermediate school, we called them the same thing. That kind of brought me back a bit.) He's going to look into getting his own shoes soon, and I'm excited to see what he'll pull out. Tyler... Dude, this kid's skill totally surprised me. He pulled out some crazy shit, like Dragon> Spinning! Later on, we tried to teach him Mirages, but he accidentally skipped them and started hitting QUANTUM TOE!!! He had super solid Quantum sets. Then he hit mirage and spinning toe and got really close to xbd rake. I feel like he's a quick learner. Surprising shit from Tyler. Nate... He had some really cool flyers, as well. He was also hitting some toe stalls and other stuff. His stuff is looking really nice though. Mike... He had basics stalls down and then did a really nice Pixie set, which he called an "Inverted Butterfly" lol. I was pretty amazed... Then he did more of them... He had them locked. Crazy. Also, it was really cool to hear him say this "I saw your video like a year ago, and I've been wanting to meet you ever since!" That was so cool to hear.
Highlights from me:
Marius bs... This trick is getting much easier.
Scorp's Tail (kinda thin), they didn't feel very good today :\ My others were so much better.
Lots of both sided Atomsmashers and Legbeaters in my strings.
Some pretty long Dense strings, one of which ended with Whirling Swirl. Sweet.
Ended the session with Flipside Paradon & Flipside DOD... John said they were deep.
All of the Rejects were really willing to learn and I just heard back from Trey. He said they all had a great time and they'll be continuing with freestyle. A few of them bought bags from Jeremy... And since they were serious with the sport, I gave 3 of them 3 pairs of my old Lavers. I'm confident these guys will be using them to. I'll be taking my crew and myself to Quakertown to visit those guys and teach them more stuff.
The movement of Double Downs is taking over my brain. The double dex feels soooooo good. Can't get over that motion. Oh and I overcame my fear and hit a Barfly today without nutting myself
...and John wants to fuck unicorns

Off to dinner & a movie with my parents.
Edit: Mobius> Ripstein was unclean, so I deleted the video until I can hit it clean, without the slight pause.

So this has nothing to do with footbag, but a new amazing quote has been created from my family... "We take you hundred dollar funtime and you make fucked out of it!"
Now here's the scoop...
Parents took me out to Movie Tavern (place near us that serves dinner while you watch a big screen movie in a theatre), as I briefly stated before... I got nachos as an appetizer, which I was sharing with my mom, and as I'm eating them, I find something disturbing in the sauce... found chewed gum in nacho sauce
I told the waitress about the gum and she seems very shocked and repulsed. She was also really cute. She says that they're not aloud to chew gum here, and she doesn't see how gum could get in the food. My mom says she put her gum in the jalapeno cup, which I had spilled into my nachos. The waitress laughs quite a bit about the situation, and probably thinks we're crazy. On the ride home, I'm kinda pissed at my mom because the waitress was pretty cute, and my mom notices that I'm pissed off, and says to me... (Note: My mom's mouth moves quicker than her brain does) "We take you hundred dollar fun time and you make fucked out of it!" Whole family laughs as dad records us repeating it with his songify app on iphone...
NOW LISTEN TO $100 FUNTIME by The Polini's
We're crazy, but we're a great family.
Edit: Oh yeah, some people didn't like how I executed my link in the video above, due to the freeze between the tricks. It's cool though, I agree with them.
New Goals:
Film Mobius> Ripstein without the freeze

I would have liked to have seen it with the pause. There is a school of people who might say one version is harder than the other. For example, I have very little crank, so if I tried this combo, I would only be able to hit it the fluid way. Personally, I think it's not only legit, but that guys like Byrin W. pushed this frozen style to another level with linking hard tricks. Of course, I can't see the video, so I don't know if this relates.

I'll re-up the video later. Sorry guys, just didn't want to publicly display something that wasn't clean, even though it was(?) Well, I'm not considering it clean, at least, hence why I took it down, but I'll put it back up for reference, I guess.

Last night was sick. Jeremy and I drove up to visit the Quakertown Rejects. We shredded in a nice parking lot next to a carnival. Trey is finally getting Mirages both sides like a boss and clippers both sides. He said he spent most of yesterday drilling alternating toe stalls... It showed. Tyler figured out how to duck from clippers and he's also hitting flip clippers now. Oh yeah, and I saw him hit INSPINNING TOE. I told him to try clipper spinning too, and he came close, but he said "INSPINNING IS JUST EASIER FOR ME"
Ok Tyler, keep inspinning then lol Mike was stringing with stuff like wrap> toe> Pixie toe> ATW> Legover and stuff. Real sick. He's ordering Lavers really soon. His legovers are looking great. Nate was hitting Outside Stall> Op Outside Stall and figuring out Mirages. He just needs to work out a few kinks and he'll be great at them, because he can hit miraging toe pound every time, he now just needs to pick his foot up off of the ground. I have faith in that kid. Once he figures them out, he'll be so well off. Troy laced his DC's up like footbag shoes, which was sick (Mike did this too btw). He's ordering some Quantums tomorrow. He was figuring out alternating toe stalls. They were looking really good. He couldn't really do many stalls, because his shoes wouldn't permit it. And a new guy that didn't come on the last visit from their crew joined us today, Connor? I forget his name, but he was hitting some toe stalls in his DC's, which was definitely cool and he was really interested in learning stalls and whatnot.
Jeremy gets his own paragraph, because he's been amazing me lately... Last night he sent me a video (which I didn't bet until today) of him hitting Osis> Pdx Mirage... WTF JEREMY. I'd never even seen him hit a Pdx Mirage OR an Osis yet and he links them together already??? Whoa dude. Also saw him his Osos B2B tonight. Way rad. He's got a record of 7 alternating clippers now too. He also sold 3 bags to the other dudes of the Rejects too. Pretty good shit. Oh yeah, he ended the session with a solid-looking Clipper> Ducking Clipper. His first one ever. Madd props Jeremy.
I played ok. Had some stuff I was happy with...
Highlights:
Some long strings where Atomic stuff was butter
Hit the best feeling Atom Smasher of my life. Took me barely any effort.
Ended session on Blur> Paradon bs (Slowly figuring out that I can do these much slower than I'd originally thought.
I need to BOP a little more just until I have better control of my jawns.
Today, I'm going to a park and sharing some vodka with a lady friend, while we're stitching footbags. Should be interesting. Yes, I like this lady friend. Hoping it goes well.

Let's start off today with my morning.... Bob and his kids came over to my place to use the pool. I had a blast playing with them. They're so funny and the way Bob interacts with them is great. Keegan is just learning how to swim, and I guess to reinforce his swimming skills, Bob picks him up and chucks him into the water. He goes under but swims fine. Pretty crazy to see, because when I was about his age (6 years old) I had to plug my nostrils with my pinky fingers and my ears with my thumbs... Go ahead and try that simultaneous nose-ear hold... Got it? Ok, now go look at yourself in the mirror.... That was me at pool parties when I was younger. God, I can only imagine what some of my friends parents must have thought about me. "Look at the kids, they're having so much fun in the pool!" "Yes, but what's that one doing with his hands?" "Oh that's Nick, we're not too sure about him..."
My favorite highlight was when Emmy (Bob's daughter) was eating Goldfish crackers and then sneezed into her hand, holds her hand out and casually says to us, "...And now I have goldfish in my hand." Bob and I died laughing.
Pool was really great with Bob & the tykes. After the pool, I shredded with Corey, Jackson, and the Q-Townees, Trey, and Mike drove down to kick with us too. Was a good fun session. Jackson's back is injured, which really sucks, cuz now he's unable to kick. Hope that changes soon. Corey hit some cool new stuff, like Quantum Legover. Mike and Trey worked on their basics.
My highlights:
Start this list off real nice with by favorite highlight and also a HUGE milestone... FURIOUS SETS BS!!!! They weren't super high, but they were definitely dexed twice on uptime. So excited about them.
While I messed with Furious sets, I also hit Blazing set BS. Pretty cool I finally get what Matt K was trying to explain to me at NYFA.
Schooled a bunch of flipside double downy stuff with Corey. Hit a bunch of Flip Paradons and Flip DOD's. I finally can dex them slow and deep on my flipside.
Baroque only on strong side (Big dream trick for me)
Ended session on Whirl> Drifter rpt x3 1/2 lol
Good session. Hanging out with Nadiah again tomorrow and stitching footbags.[/i]

Yo thanks Ian. As I've told a lot of new players that I've introduced to the sport, I love to help others with advice and tips, so I would love to help you out by giving you tips, secrets to tricks, and advice. Can't wait until next year. Nathan's coming back soon too! Maybe we'll bump into some skilled hackers up there too who will want to get into freestyle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing footbaggy happened in my day thus far, except for me day dreaming about Furious sets. However, I did want to document my morning.
This morning I wake up to a scratchy sort of sound. I open my eyes and just as the haze begins to clear, I can make out a blurry version of my dad, I say good morning to him, and he says nothing. I hear the scratchy sound again. I rub off the morning junk from my eyes and can finally tell what has been making that sound... My dad was standing before me with a box of matches, trying to light them and slowly trying to toss them onto my bed. He lit one finally, and slowly reaches over toward my bed with it, I blow it out. He looks upset. I ask him "Are you seriously trying to light my bed on fire?" He happily nods, and goes for another one, lights it, I blow it out. He did this about 5 more times then he gave up and says "breakfast is on the table if you're hungry." I'm going to have to steal this and use it on my kids down the road.
Just another insight to to my life.
Nothing footbaggy happened in my day thus far, except for me day dreaming about Furious sets. However, I did want to document my morning.
This morning I wake up to a scratchy sort of sound. I open my eyes and just as the haze begins to clear, I can make out a blurry version of my dad, I say good morning to him, and he says nothing. I hear the scratchy sound again. I rub off the morning junk from my eyes and can finally tell what has been making that sound... My dad was standing before me with a box of matches, trying to light them and slowly trying to toss them onto my bed. He lit one finally, and slowly reaches over toward my bed with it, I blow it out. He looks upset. I ask him "Are you seriously trying to light my bed on fire?" He happily nods, and goes for another one, lights it, I blow it out. He did this about 5 more times then he gave up and says "breakfast is on the table if you're hungry." I'm going to have to steal this and use it on my kids down the road.
Just another insight to to my life.
Glad you enjoyed that, Ian. True crazy stories make the best crazy stories... And I feel fortunate that my life is full of them
Today, Nadiah came over and we finished stitching our bags together. Afterward, we went for a walk. Now she has a boyfriend right now, but stuff really isn't working out with him. Long story short, on the walk, we sat down next to the water, on a bench and I finally got the guts to throw my arm around her (since she was still technically with her bf, and I didn't want to be a home-wrecker, because I'm not a dickhead, but I've always been told "If you have a feeling about someone, let it be known"). WARNING: APPROACHING SUPER CORNY PART OF THIS POST... After that we talked about our feelings and cuddled for a while. SUPER CORNY PART OF POST: TERMINATED So nice to finally have that out there. She seemed happy that I made that move, even though she was dating another dude. I could tell that she was just happy to finally have that freedom.
Some of you who've followed my blog may remember this picture...
I stitched that bag for her a while ago... I think maybe my 11th bag? Posted this picture a while ago too, but that was when were were just friends, now we're a little more. Anyway, that really made my night and I'm certainly a happy camper right now. I'm super stoked that she thinks footbag is really cool. She wants to start getting more into it, and now that she has another bag and wants to stitch more, I think she will. When we were just about finished and we each had one pent left, we swapped pents and stitched eachother's pents on to the opposite bag. I'm pretty corny like that lol I'm gonna stop talking about my night because most of my readers are PROBABLY throwing up in their mouths atm.
I'll post pics of my bag and her's once she send me a pic of it.
Leaving for Ohio tomorrow morning. Hopefully shredding with Mike Angeski & Nick Pasquarello. Probably going to hit up some filming.
Night bishes.
