New to the forums, moving to NYC

Post by etphonehome »

Hey guys,

Just givin a friendly hello to all the shredders out there. I'm new to the forums and new to the freestyle game but I learn quickly and I can't wait to progress.

Also, i'm moving to NYC at the end of the month so i'll be looking to play with a few people to step my game up. I realize there are probably a TON of good players there but a hint in the right direction would be nice.

Check out the Bear bag I just picked up. Plays like a dream. Maybe i'll post a video of me (not)shredding and see where i'm at.

Cheers,

Mikie

p.s. I'll be in the brooklyn area starting off, but i'm not sure where i'll end up.

New York Footbag Association is the best fuckin' club in the world!! Welcome to the big city, kiddie.

NYFA plays almost every weekend in the warm months in Washington Square Park in downtown Manhattan (5th ave & Waverly Pl., or University Pl. & 4th Street...) -- usually on Saturdays starting at about 1:00 or 2:00 pm. In the cold months we usually chip-in a few bucks each to rent a little space indoors at 14th street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan for a few hours at a time on Saturdays.

NYFA members live in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, New Jersey, Connecticut, and other places... and will sometimes have a jam at somebodies' apartment in those places... or at some other cool location on some random afternoon...

The real straight dope on NYFA is on our own web-site -- I'll PM you a link a little later.

Hi Mikie,

I live in Brooklyn, and so does Ben Cooke. We'd love to play with you once you're in town. You can add me on facebook at www.facebook.com/matthewLcross if you like.

NYC is a great place for footbaggers - not only do we have a solid club full of fun people to hang out with, we also get to enjoy players from around the globe once in a while as they pass through the Big Apple.

See you in the circle.
