Request: make a video while you're there, and include lots of scenic shots. I don't care if the shred isn't your absolute best, but it'd be sweet to see you shredding in front of old european buildings, in nice gardens, with a stein of beer after a run, etc. It'd be a great memento for you as well for you to look back on your Euro trip in the future.

My plan was to shred at a different spot everyday and make a video with 1 string of every session. So i will have about 30 to 45 link or strings in the video, with 30 to 45 different shred location.
So far i have a foot injury that botter me so i might take a break for few days or weeks. I'öö try to play today to see how it feel!

So my foot hurt when i walk, but not when i shred. Sweet!
so far i had 2 session. L;ets say something first : busking in europe is MUCH easyer then in Canada. I was playing on the street, with no hat on the ground or anything. People came to me and said Ö where can i put the money? so i put my camera case on the ground, made like 15 euros in 15 minutes, not even traying to earmn money, no even doing any special busking tricks. Just.... shredding and praticiing stuff. I might set up few things to make it more obvious when i want ot busk. I think i could manage to earn 30-50 euros per session if i go for it. Sound good

I also visited Mainz a lot. It's a really beatiful small city!

Lots of things happened since my last post.
I had tons a session with Julian Zentner in Mainz. Also played with Marco hartig. Last 2 weeks i visited amsterdam and then berlin. the whole trip, for 2 weeks, of amsterdam-berlin from Mainz cost me 300 euros.... including transport, lodging, food and everything. thx to Yves kreil for the lodging in Berlin. Had sessions with Jakob Wagner, Matthias, Paul and Rene. Was really nice. then im back in mainz for few days. Leaving tomorow for Lyon, in france, to see a friend of mine. then heading to sttutgart at Marco Hartig's place. evan Gatesman is coming down too so we will train hard for world's. after that... finland. few days in Lotti with Dante, then helsinki. Coming back in mainz for 3 days then Praha, Venisia and Paris. Then going back home on september 1st!
On a footbag note; everything is going really well. Better then i expected in fact. No more foot injury. I feel i'm progressing a lot this summer. I think i'll show up at worlds in a very good condition and at a level i'll be fine with for this worlds. I really enjoy that feeling, and i also really enjoy footbag right now. It's awsome because at some point my motivation was going down. so im happy to be back on track

My video project is going very well. Lots of location are really cool. I'm also proud of most of the combo thaat will be in the video. so it's all good!
Wont be able to attend euro's. I decided it's better to skip it and pass some time with a friend of mine in France. sometime, we need to make choice jhuhu.

Hey!Long time since the last post.
So yah, Worlds are over. Worlds were weird. It felt more like a super big jam then worlds... Props to the fins, everythings was pretty much well planned, no major delays, no problem for the event site or whatever. Good job. But yah, people were split in several different hotel, and lots of them (including myself) didnt went to all the partys. Also, People staid mostly with the people of their own country, especially those who were a lot from the same country. The result was weird : for the first few day, the ambiance wasn't really nice, it was just... a bit dead? Once again i want to say that its not the fault of the organizer, they did an awsome job. Not much sideline happened. I think Aleksi, Anssi, Lauri, Matt Bailey and few more played a lot. But overall, it was mostly competition, not much sideline. I guess people who compete want to focus on that.
I'm happy with the way i played in comp and in sideline. In comp i was in a circle with Tuuka and Paul Cronjeager (sorry if i didn't wrote the name properly) from Berlin. I sadly had 2 drop early. But my other 4 turn were over 25 contact, including a 50 contact string with some good stuff in it. I beat Paul, but i loosed to Tuuka. Considering i had he last seed, i was happy!
For the sideline, i barely played. Yah... Team Canada should be known as Team Injury. Jay destroyed his back. I hurt my calf the week before worlds. I still managed to have 1 real session at worlds. I think i played solid. Milan, Honza and few people were watching i think i did well! Some surprising combo that i wasn't expecting to hit! You''ll see that on the video. But yah, after my comp and that session, my calf was just destroyed and i wasn't able to play anywhere clos to the level i think i can play. Doesn't matter, i learned lots of things.
Finland... People from Finland are nice. Thuomas, Samu, Anssi, Aleksei and more. but that country is not for me. the weather is amazing in summer... well it has been for the Worlds! But yah, there is not much to see in Helsinki. I did some sightseeing, but yah... in 5 hours you have seen pretty much everything. Something everybody know : Finland is ... expensive. I got super lucky for my plane ticket and for my Hotel Room. so i guess i should not complain too much.
Finally, i learned lots of things in those worlds. Especially watching Honza prepare his routine. Honza is a professionnal, and there are so many things you learn from him when he prepare his performance. Exemple given : before his routine, while all the competitor where warming up somewhere else, he warmed up on the actual surface where he would perform. that make sense to me, so he can get use to environment where you will perform (including... the public). In the first round, no oneelse, or allmost did it, but when the comp was moving forward to the final, everybody start to do that. Also, Milan, after he hit like 3 string in a row of 50+ contacts in variety phase of circle contest, went to Vasek and ask him a leg massage between the 2 phases. Really... it makes sense to me. So yah, the Czech are the best, but the professionnalism level is much higher then most of the other player. We should learn a lot from that.

Faudra on kick à ton retour, j'ai shred 2 fois avec Mathieu dernièrement ( il vient de déménagé à quelques rues de chez moi et je lui avais parlé donc acheté des souliers, avec tout ça, je me suis remotivé à jouer et même si j'ai perdus énormément bien jpeux encore kick un peu lol. J'ai pu de bag décent alors aussitôt que j'aurai un new bag je vais pouvoir kick plus fréquemment!
Bien hâte d'avoir de tes news et de kick en ta compagnie, puis voir tous tes trucs de mongoles haha.

So yah, after 101 days in Europe, it is soooo nice to be back home! It's nice to be back home.
I won't do a write up right now because i got a very good news the day i came back! I got a job for the next month! A teaching contract in the best school in quebec. I'll teach sport (this is what i studied for...). But the thing is that i start tomorow. So i have LOTS of planification to do and no time to do any write up right now
! I'll do it in October then i guess :S.
Also, today I had my first session with the Montreal crew since i'm back, There was lots of people : Ianek, François, Mathieu Soucy, Samuel, Julien Côté and I. It was a nice session. Soooo coooooool to see all those people again. We had lots of fun for sure! Ianek played really well even if he isn't really playing anymore. He hit some good things! I also played really well i think. I'm happy with what i hit :
-Janiwalker, my first one ever.... first try in the session.
-Blurry whirl - blurry whirl - spinning whirl - spinning pdx DLO - pixie torque.
-Blurry whirl - spinning whirl - blurry whirl - spinning drop.
-Something i don't remember... but i know i was freaking happy about it :S I only remember i catched the bag huhuhu... I'll ask Julien what it was lol!
I'm happy Mathieu Soucy is starting to play again. It's a nice guy to shred with. He is talented; his game will come back pretty quickly!!

My unique fearless record is 6 as for now. I'm really confident i can hit 9 actually... Just had pixie dd - fog - phoenix in front of the 6 i write in the last post. That would be 9... If i have time to play this week i will push my 5's. I'm getting muuuuch more confident with them, and i can put them easily mid string now.
For the video, i will do it, for sure! All my strings are cut! So i only need to edit everything. I will probably do it in october because right now i have a contrac this month and it's a pretty big contract, so i will probably be raelly busy, so the few hours availible each week will be used to shred!
Really hope to see you as soon as possible Ken!

So yah, haven'T played for the whole week because of my contract. Teaching ice hockey is exhausting... stading on skate for like 4-5 hours a day is much harder then i expected... Hard on the stabilization muscle.
I had a session today with Seb. With both played really bad. The only highlight of the sesison for me was : spinning whirl - blurry drifter 1st try.
I'm getting close to spinning whirl - blurry whirl - rpt. I'll hit that soon...
I gived few tryes to janiwalker today, it was totally off!
