call it hacky sack and that's what you get..

Post by ebo »

"As players of Hacky Sack attempt to keep the ball off the ground by using
their knees and feet, certain competitions are held to see who can do so
the best. The world record holder for consecutive "kicks," kicked the sack
63,326 in eight hours, fifty minutes and forty two seconds on June 14,
1997. Hacky Sack competitions continue as does the game's popularity.
Perhaps its acclaim is due to the comedy that accompanies the attempts
to keep the small beanbag in the air, or perhaps it is just another
pleasurable way to waste away the day.

Weird, I prepared a statement for the news at my school and wrote down footbag but they somehow got hacky sack out of it and said that instead. Somewhat irrelevant but oh well.

Me too, but the product is actually decent, so I think it's more or less all right to call the sport by that. Hacky Sacks flat out effing suck. So It's better we call it by footbag... I can't say anything about rollerblades though.. Never had a pair of the brand...

Well hacky sack is decent for exactly what they say the game is. Keeping the bag off the ground with your feet. And Ive never actually seen another company besides frisbee make flying disks

Frisbees suck (I say disc if I need to use a name), the inside edge is all sharp and shitty, which is great if you're trying to decapitate your girlfriends annoying dog, but not if you wish to keep your hands for future use. I think frisbee is almost as bad as hacky sack, not quite as looked down on but close.
I'm seeing a pattern here, brand name item = shit ... probably just me

at least when the person who wrote this connected the words "stupid fad" with "hacky sack", their misconception of the whole thing preconveys such ignorance of the real thing to us in the know that it speaks to its own discredit.

was it a surprise to any of you that there's some people in this world who make judgements about things without full knowledge? ;)
