I ended up doing Ab Ripper X at work on my lunch break because I'm excited to be back at it and I thought it would be nice to have a relaxing evening. It was!
A few things I want to get better at:
-make my lunch for work the night before and go to bed early. I want to make my lunch at 10pm and go to bed right afterwards.
-This should help me get out of bed earlier and get my workouts done in the morning
-reinstate my no food/beverage after 9pm rule. Only water.
-I plan on going pretty light footbag wise until I am more comfortable with P90X, then I'd like to get in a few sessions a week.

P90X Day 2: Plyometrics
My body doesn't much like getting airborn... or squating. It funny, I enjoy sport that one would think is very heavy on lower body muscles but it's always the workouts that focus on lower body that I have the most trouble with. I had modify a lot of the program, but I kept going and look forward to it next week when I can try to improve. Much like the last time I started P90X my shoulders are burning after yesterday's chest and back. I wonder how Shoulders and Arms will be tomorrow... YIKES!! Anyways, I felt it was a good workout.

YES I CAN!!!!
P90X Day 3: Shoulder and Arms
I was worried about this because since doing Chest and Back on day 1 my shoulders have been really sore. But it turned out ok and I'm happy with my reps and weight. I didn't get to use my 20 lbs though. Maybe next week! Got through the bonus round too. Side Tri-Rises are an old enemy from one of Tony's other workouts I did, but I did alright with them managing 10 on each side in the last set.

No I can't. Tonsillitis seems to hate P90X. I'm back to not having a voice. Hurts like hell to swallow so I'm hardly eating. Or drinking. Which is not good at all. I haven't slept in two days because I can't get comfortable enough to fall asleep. The whole left side of my head aches with a dull throbbing pain that just won't go away. My left tonsil is inflamed so much it covers almost my whole throat.
fml
sorry for the downer.

Hey Tony, sorry to hear about the tonsilitis...but I'm happy to hear that you met your summer goals. Makes me want to be more systematic and set goals for myself as well.
I know it sucks to not be able to perform at your best when your body isn't cooperating, but give it time to rest and I'm sure you'll be back better than before.

Thanks for the encouragement brother!!
Although I didn't play footbag, I did workout, for the third day in a row. Over the weekend I was in Maidstone Sk visiting my mother, sister and niece. I forced my sister to start working out again and did her Jillian Micheals workout with her on Saturday and Sunday. Then this morning I hauled myself outta bed to do a Power 90 workout. I did Fat Burner Express which I had never done before and it was pretty good. I feel good for having got up and done it too!

Power 90 Sweat 3-4
I forgot how much I hated Power Yoga when I first started way back in the spring. I grew to enjoy it as the 3 months moved on. I hate it again. lol Shows that some of my flexibility and balance has left while I've been slacking. But I'm back at it now. The rest of the routine was alright. Exhausting but alright. I had to pause once in the knees up, hands up section though. I'm happy to see I burned more calories in this than in the Fat Burner Express I did yesterday as I felt this was harder. Will try to get in a sculpt tomorrow before I head out of town for work.

Power 90 Sculpt 3-4
Ouch. Outta shape as far as strength is concerned. I dialed back my weights a bit and still couldn't keep up to my old reps. Push ups were torture. I have my work cut out for me. It's amazing how much I lost in what seemed like a short time.

Hit the hotel gym this morning, but not for too long and it couldn't make up for the 2 pizza's I ate last night. Or the waffle with whip cream and McDonald's I ate today. Hope to get back to normal eating habits as I get back into home life routines. Anyways, this morning I did about 10 minutes on the treadmill at a pretty good speed and then a few minutes on a bike. My knees feel funny when I run on a treadmill. I'd guess my form is bad. Or my knees are bad. Or both. /sigh

Nice job Nick!!
Sculpt 3-4 from POWER90
I used only 8 and 10 lb weights. Still a tough workout. I'm really outta shape. Also hopped on the scale this morning. Up to 185lbs. I really need to get back to eating right. I can do this. I will do this. Also, I think I'm gonna do Insanity before P90X. I feel I need the cardio right now. I'll work on strength after with P90X.

Played footbag tonight. First time in over 1.5 months. I did not have an amazing session like Nick first time out but I was happy with a few things and it felt good to play.

Power 90 Sweat 3-4 AND Ab Ripper 200
Sweat felt much like tuesday morning. Knee and hands up is tough and I let my arms rest a little bit in the middle... I really brought it in punching though. Finished really strong. I hadn't been able to do abs so far due to lack of time in the mornings, so it felt 'good' to be able to do it today. It hurt like crazy and couldn't keep up like I used to, but at least I tried.

Change of Pace! I just started Insanity and did the Fit Test.
Insanity Day 1: Fit Test
Wow. I knew Insanity was full of crazy cardio. I didn't think the fit test would be as crazy as it was. I enjoyed it though and my numbers were higher than I expected. Not as high as the nice folks in the video, but I'm happy with my numbers and look forward to smashing them in future tests. Without further ado, here are my numbers:
1. Switch Kicks: 94
2. Power Jacks: 50
3. Power Knees: 71
4. Power Jumps: 26
5. Globe Jumps: 6
6. Suicide Jumps: 13
7. Push-Up Jacks: 22
8. Low Plank Oblique: 37
I haven't taken measurments or anything yet. I'll try to do that later.
