If anyone taped my finals routine, PLEASE don't upload it because I kind of want to pretend that never happened. John, maybe just privately send that to me if you don't mind. I don't mind about my day 1 routine being uploaded... That wasn't as bad.

I had nothing choreographed aside from the first 16 seconds. Also, my legs started to cramp up in the middle

I guess I learned my lesson about choreography and stretching before routines lol

Aside from that blunder, I had a great time this weekend. Met a bunch of new players that are certainly bound to be our future in footbag if they stick with it. Thanks to everyone for everything. Can't wait ti see you all again.

Edit: And yo, Mikie, it's all good man. Just get that to me next tourney/jam. Good to meet you this weekend dude. You've got some promising stuff. Keep practicing.

I am sitting the new jersey airport sore, tired , smiling and reminiscing of a great weekend.

To every person that I met, hung with, talked to, jokes with , shredded with, and competed with, I feel that you are all my new best friends . It is a rare and wonderful thing that people who have never met face to face can become instant friends. Thanks to all of u for the experience. It is also nice to be able to put faces, personalities, and memories with avatars.

My first footbag comp was inspiring to my game and my life. There is no way to understand just how blessed we as footbaggers are unless u get a bunch of us together. It's like i learned way more about the game in two days than I have in the last year. Thanks for the inspiration

I feel extremely grateful, lucky,and humbled to have been a part of east coast footbag and even luckier to have won the freestyle events. Thank you to the judges and my competitors , I could have easily placed lower with my performance on the second day. I am humbled to have won with such great players and guys next to me.
I have always wondered when i ever went to a comp would I ever get a footbg nickname and never once did I think someone would call me monster which is ridiculous since it so close to my last name.... I accept it with great memories...

If anybody is ever near new Orleans please contact me and we will hang.

Hey thanks to everyone that made it to East Coasts this past weekend, I had an awesome time! Special thanks to Jon and Jim for organizing the whole thing. Couldnt have happened without you guys, so huge thanks!

Props to everyone who competed. I had a great time judging y'all (even though it did take me away from doubles 4-sqaure, which needs to happen at EVERY tourny... so fun, I hope you carried our winning energy to the very end, Will). Also props to NYFA. Bruce for letting me stay at his place Friday and making such kickass trophies. Dave for taking care of the music and providing the sweet hookup Saturday night for me and Toolan. Drew for MCing and warning the players about SOTG. Waylon for being so gracious about taking the back seat on the ride back to NYC. Mikey for being a cool new freestlyer and showing us that Ninja Turtles/Casey Jones project thing. And Tristan for being jolly, green, giant and just awesome in general.

I realized on the bus ride home yesterday that this was my 6th tournament in the past 6 months. That is so flucking awesome. Props to the East coast for being so awesome as of late. The only question now is who's gonna throw the October jam so I can continue my streak?

I had a fun weekend. Saturday was a shredtastic day (before my injury) and Sunday was a bit of a downer, but I recorded most of finals even on a sprained ankle. I met with a lot of familiar and not-so familiar faces. And meeting Mark Monistere for the first time was super cool and super chill. Getting injured sucks and is very depressing, but I will rest and recover for NYJ in Chicago at the very least. But as of now I'm out of the game.

I saw a lot of new talent and hope for the best that those that I've spoken to and commented about their style will stick in the game of footbag and enjoy the ride like I did with Spike 'n' Shred 2005. Just keep at it and you will blow out with a lot of funky stuff, new players. Keep watching footbag, keep playing footbag, keep loving footbag - like I did when I saw tricks getting thrown down.

I'm grateful for everyone that attended ECFC. I wish I was in better strides, but you can't help certain incidents I guess... Anyway, see you guys around at the next ECFC. NYFA!!

PS: Much love to Josh Gayhart and his wifey for showing up at ECFC. I wish I had the opportunity to say goodbye on Sunday, but I'm sure we'll meet again at another East Coast footbag tournament and kicking in a circle sometime.

I do! I'm hoping to get some of the routine stuff up by the end of the week. the circle footage won't be up till next week though cause half of it is on will t's phone haha

I'm going to give john the raw footage next time we shred since he's an editing guru and one of the clips is a gigabyte for just 8 minutes.

Indeed the event was bomb! I should have listened to drew when he told me (repeatedly) no hats on the bed. I left mine at the hotel! Luckily I called and they're mailing it back. +1 for an October jam, I feel relocated to step my game up. Nobody has any video of Buccaneer do they?

In case there's any confusion at all here, I want to clarify that Waylon is joking. If you didn't invent a trick, do not name it. Hell, even if you do invent a trick, half the time it doesn't make sense to name it. Naming every trick just is confusing, and is inefficient. If unnamed tricks were fair game, then newbs would be renaming pdx torque, blurry drifter, pdlo, etc.

Move names... Ah, move names...

I hate disgreements over move names.

I remember one newb deciding that, since Paradox Dragonfly didn't have its own unique name, that HE could re-name it Coke-Walk, to sound like his own last name. That idea went nowhere, which was appropriate, though that newb is still around, still shredding, and isn't a newb anymore. He'll probably be a little embarrassed to be reminded of this. Point being, what seemed like a good idea to a newb long ago will be something that same person would choose to take-back years later... (or, that same person will simply wish it was forgotten... unfortunately for him, I still remember...)

And then, some not-at-all-newb decided to rename nearly EVERYTHING, and that is perhaps much more contentious. The first example is merely amusing, but the second is much more annoying. For one, he took a trick-name of mine, a move that I invented and named, a hard trick that has won me an occasional big-trick contest, and used it to describe all reverse swirling moves. Since the original move is very rare, I suppose I don't mind so much, and perhaps I should even take some pride that my own little obscure reverse-swirling move inspired him to use the same name as a generic for ALL basic reverse-swirls. But, he also re-named another move that I use alot TILT. And that move is, in-fact, a guiltless move, so going and calling a guiltless mainstay of my game a TILT is insulting. Outsider don't TILT (except maybe for Dustpan, which debateably has a 1-add component involved... and a few other odd moves. So, Outsider don't tilt, except when he does... or, rather, when he MEANS to, and Tilt ain't a tilt... whatever...)

I think reverse swirl was named "twist" because of it's similarity to "twirl." Other than you and me, I feel very few people remember there used to be a trick called twist.
