Footbag? I'm starting to remember what it is...

 Alternating Clippers: 67, 57, 80
 ducking clippers: 8, 9, 13
 Flip spinning clippers x3
 strong spinning clipper x6

Pretty sure 80 alternating clippers is my new record. And I'm sure 13 ducking clippers is. I'm trying to work on some basics and making my clippers more reliable. Especially my flip. I also plan to print off the 1 add lists and do 100 of each.

Insanity day 3: Cardio Power and Resistance

Crazy as ever. But I liked it. I find the stretches in this are difficult. I think I got so used to Tony Horton's stretches that anything slightly different is harder. It's a nice challenge. I've got a few tight muscles so far.

Insanity Day 4: Cardio Recovery

Not as fast, but challenging in it's own insane ways. I don't know how anyone could ever hold a squat or lunge for that long!! FEEL THE BURN!!!!! and burn and burn and burn. I liked this workout. I've been feeling really tight in my left hamstring and I'm hoping this will help it. Pure Cardio tomorrow. I can't wait.

Thanks John. Sounds like you've done Insanity before. Did you make it all the way? What kind of results did you have?

Insanity Day 5: Pure Cardio

I DID IT!!! And by it, I mean made it through the warm up with out taking a break. I didn't go quite as fast as the folks on the screen but I did give it my all. I also watched/listened to some of the Insanity infomercials on youtube at work yesterday and decided that I've been dogging it and not digging deep enough. What place to start digging deep than with PURE CARDIO. 15 move in 15 minutes with no breaks. YIKES. I brought it this morning. Puddles on the floor from my sweat and all. Feels good. Next 3 days will be interesting... my Mom, Sister and niece are coming. My sister works out, but I don't think she'll be up for insanity. I'm gonna make sure I do it anyways, I might also end up doing her workout.

I personally only made it about two weeks before I decided that with my schedule I couldn't do it along with footbag. But, I felt great while I did it. My roommates made it about two or 3 more weeks than I did

It's defiantly hard to do Insanity and Footbag. I have done a few days of both, and plan to try to at least a few times a week, but two tough cardio work outs a day is really tough. But Insanity does make me feel great. I was on a high all day yesterday.

Insanity day 6: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Second time with this. My sister is here and she tried to do it with me, but quit at the beginning of the second warm up round. I made it through the warm up without stopping again and I think I did slightly better throughout the rest of the workout than the first time. Prety sure I did Level 1s better this time. It was fun, but challenging because after my sister quit she went and did Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred a few feet away from me so I was trying to hear Shaun, while also hearing Jillian and both mine and Heather's footsteps. Worked out ok I guess and I'm happy to say I made it through week 1!

Yesterday's Rest Day felt good. Back at it today:

Insanity Day: 8 - Cardio Power and Resistance

Pushed hard and sweated harder. Push ups are killing me, but I want to get back into good form there so it's ok.

Got Pure Cardio in the morning. Looking forward to it. Also, looking at my schedule I think I should be able to fit some footbag into the evening. Not sure what I'll work though. Maybe it's time to print off a 1-add drill list...

Insanity Day 9: Pure Cardio

Second time around for this one. Knew what to expect and it still killed my butt. I pushed hard through the warm up and first 3 or 4 excersises, but then my body said what are you doing and I had to let up just a little. I started pushing hard again at the end. Push up jacks are fun, but I seem to have an issue with plank. My body doesn't like it. It'll be interesting to see how my body reacts to having cardio abs thrown at it right after this workout.

I really didn't want to do my workout this morning. Even as I was turning it on, I was thinking... you know... I could just do it this evening...

Also, I like how after Mountain Climbers, you do Ski Down. Climb up the mountain and then ski down it.

Short drill session.

10 each of:

ATW Kick (both feet, both directions)
Clipper Kick Left
Clipper Kick Right
Cloud Kick Left
Cloud Kick Right
Flying Inside Left (Symp style)
Flying Inside Right (Symp Style)
Forehead stall

AW Kicks got easier as I went. I see them as being hippy and envision freestyle footballers when I do 'em. Clipper kicks where alright, but I really want to focus on them to help my clipper stalls. I tried to do the stall cushion early and then bring my foot up like I was launching the stalled bag up but striking the bag as it came down instead. Does that make sense? Does it seem like a good way to practice them? I wasn't really happy with my cloud kicks at all. I felt like I was hitting the bag more with the back of my ankle than my calf. Need to work on those more. Flying inside was fun. Should help other symposium moves a ton and I was happy to find I could do them with my left foot without too much trouble. Flying Outside kicks on the other hand... Any advice there? And not much to say about forehead stalls.

AVG BPM: 121
Peak BPM: 169

Edit: Forgot to mention I got 14 consecutive fairies and a Flip Symp Mirage. 16 Tiltless too.

Insanity Day 10: Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Best I've done at this so far. That's not saying much. I woke up this morning with a bit of pain in my left knee. Not sure what it's from, but I don't like it at all. I'll monitor it in the coming days. I got better at Level 1 Drills, but I can't seem to stay in plank to continue with Ski Abs and In and Outs. That's crazy. I end up resting for about half of both of those exercises. :-S

Nice job, Tony. I'm glad you're hundredizing your 1 adds. When I did it, I didn't notice progress at first, but later on, I really noticed it. It sneaks up on you. You'll see.

Advice on cloud kick... You barely need to kick the bag with your calf, just set the bag with a clipper and stick your leg our right underneath it with maybe just a little tiny *pop* of the calf. They are hard at first, but once you figure them out, they get a lot easier.

No advice on outside kicks.

You feel real dumb when doing the forehead stalls, huh? :P Been there, done that. Just for your personal knowledge... you do look dumb when you drill them lol I know this, because when Bob and I killed through the list, and he would do forehead stalls, I would always chuckle and poke fun :P He looked dumb, I looked dumb, you look dumb, anyone who drills forehead stalls looks dumb... but embrace it and just laugh at yourself :P

Good luck with everything man. It'll all be worth it in the end.

@Nick: Thanks for the support motivation and tips. Means a lot!

@Adi21: Thanks!

@Erik: I agree on Krell, but I do like how it shows the feeling from the clones that is hinted at and evident in the Republic Commando books towards Jedi. We really hadn't seen that before as we'd always followed the 'good' Jedi. Krell is one who doesn't view them as men, but as meat tinnies.

I think I would view it as a good thing I didn't get into the zone in this workout...
