short clips of drills
four day break then to play
Nice to meet you. You look like you got this sport coming to you. Your form reminds me of my shred buddy (and one of my best friends from Pittsburgh).
Here are some of his videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/mttbeall
Here's my advice, based off of watching him get real good real fast:
Repetition of higher numbers. Since you are light weight and athletic, going for consecutive drills of higher numbers would really work on your form and stamina. Since your toe game is shows tons of potential (light on your feet, rhythm, etc), concentrate on these for now- get the "magic hop" down, and work on your clipper game "eventually". It comes much faster, but concentrating on your toe game and making it your core, is a much better foundation. Move up to the clipper game after you have some mastery of toe-tiltless.
I recommend consecutive downtime legovers- starting at reps of 5 one day and increasing by 5 each session. Same with consecutive same side mirages, around the worlds, or any single dex (one-legover) trick you can find. Then, freestyle by linking these into a variety of different permutations: for instance, I like legover, mirage, repeat x whatever.
Drifter looks so close.
Since you are already schooling clipper, which you should do, make sure to hold the bag a brief instance at least. Try not to hurt your knees. Stretch.
Best of luck!

I see a very bright future in footbag for you... Keep playing. You've got something. You have the same body type as my friend Nathan Pipenberg...
This is his early stuff, which you will probably be hitting sooner or later:

This is his stuff last year:

And he got so much better since then...
You and Nathan have great gifts of long legs. Use it to your benefit. I know I'll be seeing some great stuff from you in the future.

Hey Cale, thanks for the video. You have a ton of potential, and look to be off to a good start.
One bit of advice: try not to point your knees inward. This might make some tricks easier, but I think it'd hold you back in the long run.
As Ian pointed out, you have a good rhythm with your toe game. Definitely try and continue that with your clippers as you integrate them into your repertoire as well. Every trick has a sink to it and a rhythm. Since clipper is so fundamental, you want to spend the time to get both just right.
I'd also like to see you start a blog in the Footblogs section. It's a great way to track your progress.
Oh, and if you're in Michigan, you should make every effort to go to the New Year's Jam in Chicago. See the thread in Journies to Tournies for more info.

I totally see that! That's a good thing too.Ian Brill wrote:Your form reminds me of my shred buddy Matt Beall
