I feel bad for you, so I'm commenting in here
Just messin.. been a while since East Coasts. Fun shit. I really loved both of your combos. Both were way sick, but I agree with your choice for submission. So cool-looking. Anyway, hope to see you again soon. Peace man.
PS. Thanks again for those tips on gyro clip. They've improved a lot, all thanks to you.

First off, thanks a lot to everyone who commented on my backup sick 3 combo. Means a lot.
Secondly, PA Jampoionships were fluckin awesome!
I had so much fun this weekend. Probably too much fun as I have had trouble readjusting to school life. I only have 2 more days until my semester is over and then one class in July-August and then I am DONE. It can't be over soon enough.
Anyway, I just wanted to try and highlight some moments from this past weekend before I forget everything.
-3.5 hr bus ride from Boston to NYC. That is amazing time.
-Starting off my weekend of super unhealthy food with White Castle for the 1st time. Hit the god dam spot.
-Makin fun of the Smurf movie with Bruce and Waylon while we waited for Boats. Go smurf yourself. Or rather, smurf smurf smurf.
-Rippin on boats for eating a bagel bc he's Jewish.
-Forwards music
-Continuing unhealthy trend with Red Robin.
-Nate's friend running full sprint toward us.
-Ian's trippy tetris art exhibit.
-Hitting ducking through the hand on head then though the hand on waist osis. Best trick of the weekend for me.
-Partying at Nathans. Best party spot EVER.
-4-Sqaure. Everything about it.
-John Goode drunk. He's so sassy.
-Smokin cigs with Toolan. (this is actually the lowest of the lowlights)
-Wakin up too early but then going out to play frolf.
-Frolf with Toolan, Corey, Zach and Anton.
-Wanting to impress 4 girls jogging on frolf course.
-Realizing one of them was a dude.
-Realizing two of them were dudes.
-Realizing there weren't any girls to impress at all.
-Realizing that other ppl probably feel this way when they see footbaggers from a distance in their short shorts and also being disappointed.
-Leaving that godforsaken girl-less frolf course.
-Drew following us and being a dick constantly beeping.
-Throwing a banana at Drews car.
-Anton hanging out the window making lewd gestures at Drew, and then noticing the cop at the intersection and slowly moving back ino the car and putting on his seatbelt.
-Following Drew and honking at him.
-Seeing Jay. Cool unexpected surprise.
-Drinking things, smoking things and just being a general nuissance in Nate's home was just so awesome. Needed another highlight.
-Papa John's pizza and breadsticks
-Watching Hogan go darth vader on everyones ass with breadsticks.
-Walking in on an epic 4man 4 sqaure match and tryign to play but being too drunk to do a god dam toe stall and ultimately ending the game by feeding Bruce points.
-Drunkenly coming up with request combo's around 1am with input from half the ppl there.
-Getting bored and making the 2nd half of request aimed solely at Jay.
-Will T lounging on the basketball court
-Drew Kobe-ing Will. Twice.
-Watching Boston take its rightful place as number one in PA.
(Props Kevin!)
-Baby's
-Making plans for a potentially amazing video.
There's so much I'm forgetting but this is already a crappy write-up and I really need to get back to schoolwork. It will all be over soon. It will all be over soon. It will all be over soon.....

First solo session of the new year! Damn it felt good.
-blurry whirl>swivel>15 contacts guiltless (inspired by vid I saw recently of Josh G. And he hit that midstring in a fearless run
)
-flip toe far blink>20+ contacts guiltless for 3 different runs. One run was 30+.
-toe far blink b2b several times. footed x3 consistently (inspired by Nick P who hit it at PA Jam recently)
-58 contact string to end the session (first half tiltless, second half guiltless, last 9 contacts all spin clippers)
I did a loooooot of ducking and spinning clips this session to get the high number of contacts. Still have much work to do to get back to where I was almost a year ago.

Alright, quick post.
Had a short half hr session finally with my new Polini bag!
-open ss clip>barfly>pdx illusion>rpt
-ducking pdx mirage>paradon>rpt>string with barfly sauce (inspired by Boats)
-pdx drifter>dive clip>gyro clip>rpt
-ripwalk x8
Soooo much rust. My strong stepping set is all weird. I really need to start having daily sessions now that the weather's so nice.
Note: I phuckin HATE that my legs are too dumb to remember mobius. I've devoted so much time in the past to that trick and I couldn't sauce it. I could barely hit flip. Gaah footbag. Haha.
Note II: If anyone happens to read this, what do you think would happen if a footbagger was struck with amnesia? Would they have a weird, inexplicable urge to still kick a bag? Would they still be able to play? Basically, I'm curious if their muscle memory would be enough to just KNOW what to do. Jason Bourne style, ya know?
Anywho, gg footbag, you win this time.

Hahaha, o ya we totally should make that video. T'would be epic.
So, we meet again footblog! Guess what I did today.... I had a solo session. Oh yes.
There were no highlights. But after this weekend (which was phluckin awesome) I decided I really do want to start getting good at footbag again. I've decided that I'm going to start trying to eat healthier and drinking less, while shredding more. It's easier here in Rochester since if I decide I want to shred but don't want to leave me house, I can just walk into my basement. But in Boston, I still don't have a spot that makes me think "Oh ya, I'll just play there!" Haha I'm clearly already failing at my healthy lifestyle plan as I drank a beer and wine a little earlier and then did a burn cruise thru the neighborhood with a friend. Aw well. At least it was only a little.
Idk why I'm making a post. I guess just to document that I did have a session. I want to post after every session I have.
Anywho, here are my only highlights.
-gyro clipper x 22
-toe near symple swirl>gyro clip>blur>rpt (I was surprised I repeated this as I couldn't bsos it all session)
Now time for stupid computer games.

Re: Word
The second page.... where blogs go to die.... *shivers*
So lots has happened since my last post. I went to 2 NYC events, and helped host the Beantown Throwdown (even though that was pretty much all Pete and Hogan... but hey I brought hookah and beer
) I've also travelled to several different locations around the northeast including NJ, Montreal, Oshawa, Albany, and most recently Maryland. I played some casual footbag at each location cept MD where all I did was a ripstein and a 5 contact string. I've finally graduated with a degree in civil engineering and a minor in math and feel enormous pressure to get a real life job/full time career. However, it was nice talking to several people in NYC (most notably Ken and Ben Little) and getting some insight regarding how to handle my near-future.
I'd like to do a writeup for each event I've been to but unfortunately it's all a bit a hazy at this point and I know I'd forget a lot and feel bad for not including something. All I can say is that if I talked to you, kicked with you, judged with you, or even just clinked beers with you, I had a great time doing it and hope to do again at future tournaments.
Now then, today I had an hour long sesh.
-far osis x 6 bs (gotta get this number muuuuch higher)
-47 contact string (all BOPs, cept for 2 ducking butters)
-49 contact string (mostly BOPs, but a lil more variety)
-22 contact string (mobius bsos, ~10 BOPs, more *real* tricks)
-flip ripstein (NEW TRICK
)
I just wanted to devote this session to workin on the foundational tween tricks (BOPs [I feel like BOPs are that awkward stage trick to learn such as tween years where you start to learn how to put a string together, thus acting as the mortar holding all the *real* tricks together]) and try to get my string length back up to snuff.
I wonder if I'll keep playing this time.

Re: Word
Thanks for the kind words Kevin. I'm gonna assume you were drunk as shit when you said them.
So I reached the 2nd page again! This is turning into an unwelcome trend... Anywho, I just had my 2nd session this week after my longest hiatus from footbag since I can remember (maybe 2009 New Years when I sprained my ankle?). I wish I could say it was due to an injury but my footbag motivation just seems to occur intermittently nowadays.
Aw well. I'm looking forward to going to Boston and PA in April so I need to get my shit back up to par.
Highlights:
-34 tiltless
-drifter>dlo>rpt
-smear>pixie same mirage>rpt
-17 gyro clip
-mobius bs
-gyro clip x2>zulu clip>rpt>gyro clip x2>duck clip>rpt>gyro clip>dive clip>rpt>gyro cliip>weave clip>rpt (first try
)
I also worked on my stepping a lot. Man that is one concept that just wont fucking click with me. Apparently gyro and ducking stuff is still pretty good though.
Started watching Homeland yesterday. I just finished episode 7 today. It's kinda awesome.

Had a solo session yesterday since it was roughly 67 degrees
Just tryin to get some consistency back.
-all 4 rev swirls from toe in one string
-all 4 swirls from toe in one string
-step clip>spin clip>step clip bsos
-duck clip>step clip>dive clip>step clip>rpt starting from bot sides
-gyro clip>step clip>spin clip>step clip>rpt
-ducking swirl (new trick
Inspired by Mike A and Nick P at PSU Jam)
Hopefully I can get a few more sessions in this week as it looks like the weathers finally turning around.

Nother beautiful day, nother session.
-warmed up with 36 tiltless
-ss butter>step clip>rpt 10+ contacts bs
-infinity>step clip>rpt 24+ contacts
-osis>step clip>rpt 20+ contacts
-far osis>step clip>rpt a whopping 6 contacts bs haha
-step far clip>ss butter>rpt 26+ contacts
-several ~20 contacts runs with lots of stepping ss clippers mixed in
-mobius bsos
-finished up with 65 contacts (2/3 guiltless)
Strings are startin to feel stronger and more controlled. I'd like to start workin on double downs, pdx dlos, eggs, and more advanced stepping tricks soon. Mostly I just wanna be able to throw 5s into my runs again and do harder tricks than bops outta them.

Re: Word
WHats that? Another 65 degree day? Well fuck! Guess I gotta play....
-29 tiltless warmup
-toe girfter bsos (only 8 contacts
, really ducking clipper?)
stepping ss clip x10 strong
stepping ss clip x8 flip
ducking clip>step clip rpt 24 contacts
diving clip>step clip>rpt 20 contacts flip
diving clip>step clip x16 contacts strong (got 8 step ss clips three times, but couldnt get to 10 for some reason. Weird.)
-gyro>dive>spin>gyro>gyro>weave>rpt>string (all clippers, wanted to add: zulu>gyro>spin>gyro>duck>duck>rpt, but forgot what to do after the gyro clipper
)
-29 guiltless cooldown
I thought it was funny my warmup and cooldown were both 29 contacts. Didnt mean to drop, but whatever. Happy accident.

Good both sided drills, good foundation work. Are you working towards any specific goals in particular? Are you going to Worlds?

Re: Word
Hi Ken, nah no particular goals, just tryin to get my stepping set to be... existent, haha. And yes, I do plan on going to worlds.
So I saw something in the Rochester online newspaper about a WHirly Wednesday where a buncha ppl get together and hoola hoop, poi, drum circle and other weird stuff. I figured I'd ride down and try to attract some potential new kickers. First off, this place is about 5 miles away form where I live. Not a bad bike ride at all. Unfortunately the park where this "Whirly Wednesday" is supposed to take place is gigantic.
Basically, I rode down to what I thought was the northern end of the park, which turned out to be just a golf course.... I rode my bike around the ENTIRE golf course, just trying to find this god dam gazebo (the poster of "whirly wednesday" added a youtube clip of ppl hoola hooping/drumming/etc under a huge gazebo). So after looking at a map on my phone, I realized there were two baseball fields near the southwestern part of the park. "Great! It must be over there! Ooh this looks like a shortcut through the golf course!" about 20 mintues later I ended up back where I FUCKING STARTED AT THE NORTH END OF THE GOLF COURSE!
That's right, I rode my bike around that god forsaken golf course, not once, but TWICE. Two different routes. God I'm smart. So I said "fuck it" and rode my bike on the main road, which was basically halfway around the golf course. Finally I got to the baseball fields, where lo and behold, still no god damn fucking gazebos....
"Where the fuck....."
I took out my phone again, and googled "Genesee Valley Park Map". This is when I realized that I was a fucking idiot. The golf course wasn't the northern part of the park, it was the southern half! I was circling the southern half of the park! BLEGHGHEH! So Now that I was at the very southern tip of this monster of a "park" I had to basically backtrack all the way to where I started this annular journey....
Anywho, I eventually found the gazebo and the crazy hippy hoola hoopers and drum circle ppl and decided it wasn't really the crowd I wanted to play footbag with so I went and found a nice place to kick by myself.
Fuck, I tell good stories.
Not really any highlights bc my legs were GONE when I finally got to kick, but here's some lowlights:
-gyro diving clip>rev swirl bsos
-spin duck clip>step clip bsos
-spin butter>step clip bsos>string>FLIP gyro butter>step clip>string>STRONG gyro butter>step drop.
Yup. A short and shitty session. Aw well. Hopefully my legs are feelin strong tmrw so I can kick at this Buskerfest thing downtown.
