I meant at least 1 weekday a week, since Tempe Beach Park is in the middle of my work and my school.

Monday and Wednesday I have 1 class at 7:15 PM - 9:25 PM. Other than Friday - Sunday those would be the best two days I could sneak in an hour or so.

Yeah, I'm sure we'll be able to set up a few after work sessions :D Wednesdays are usually the worst day, Mondays can be worked out :D
I'll just have to know in advance so I bring my things to the office.

Sounds good. I can already tell you that next Monday is good for me. I only have that class open. If you can't shred I can hit up Kendall. What time would you be off on Monday (day after super bowl)?

The way my schedule is now I would more than likely be able to make it to a couple of sessions during the middle of the week. I have Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights off.

Josh: How late are you willing to kick? If you want to do a night hack or something, Tuesdays and Thursdays I am out of school around 7:00 pm. I think Kendall is open to shred around then, too.

40 minute session comprised of a ton of tilt less drills

Lots of:
Mirage > Legover rpt
Illusion > Legover rpt
Same Osis > Far Legover rpt
Pixie > Mirage rpt
Butterfly > Whirl rpt

Drifters
Legovers
Mirages
Paradox Mirages
Whirls

Ended with a clipper drill up to x3 on both sides

It was good overall.

Another 35 minute drill session, it's really hard to not just want to try to do 4 add tricks, haha! But I know I have to practice all the basics for a bit first.

A couple random drills:
Mirage > Illusion > Legover rpt
Legover > ss Butterfly > Pickup rpt

A ton of random tiltless strings.

10 toe eggbeater attempts on each side, managed to land one strong side (it feels like it's starting to come back to me)! Barely missed a bunch of my flip.
5 clipper set eggbeater attempts on each side, so close... so... so... close.

Ended with the clipper drill at two past x3.

Glad to see you playing and blogging again. Great idea to revisit tiltless drills as you make your way back in the game again. I challenge you to break your record for contacts on all your tiltless drills every time you play.

Thanks Ken!

Mike, it was definitely very fun! Can't wait until the next session!

Last night we went for 1 hour 45 minutes, it turned you Kendall hadn't eaten anything all day so we called it quits.

Had fun doing a bunch of tiltless, no real drills on anything (though my flip toe sets have become gigantic and slow, have to work those).

Started hitting paradox drifters a bit more near the end.

Nuclear Sets are starting to come back a bit, I think there was one Matador in there.

Double Switchovers are still fun.
Somehow I'm getting close to Pixie Same Double Switch (in and out)... it's SENSELESS!!!!

After we ended the session I felt great, so I ran 2.2 miles! Woo!!!

Just had a 2 hour session in Tempe, it was great! I've been beating the hell out of my body with rock climbing, running, and... push ups... dear god... push ups. Hah! Basically my body from the waist up has been solid pain since Thursday, still a little stiff today. It's fantastic though, I feel great!

Scott from Seattle randomly showed up! I was dumbstruck because it HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE! It was awesome. Especially with the random lateness of this particular Sunday session, what are the chances of that?!

Still drilling a bunch of tiltless for the most part, taking it easy with some 4 adds here and there.

Managed to get a blur, ripwalk and smear all in one run before I entered the spiral of disaster.

(Spiral of disaster = Osis > clipper repeat until dropping)

Lots of good random things:
Managed to hit a couple torques (I'm going to focus on my form whilst relearning these, my clipper usually rockets back up when I'm turning to see the catch)
A few eggbeaters this time (soreness from other things didn't really let me try a lot of them, haha)
Some randomly fairly long strings
Spins were working great for some reason
3 DATW's in a row
A single Atom Smasher (didn't really try Atomic all that much this session though)
My flip toe moves were just working a lot better, (flip pixie set in general)
Almost got Phoenix bsos

Clipper drill up to x6, failed 2 into the flip clippers

I've noticed that the since the big break my mindset is different when I'm playing, definitely getting longer strings (not caring about tiltless things is fantastic) :D

I just got off crunch weekend (Friday-Monday 9AM-2AM shifts to get our game ready for GDC) and now I'm ready to do something active again!

Just had a 75 minute solo session, it was great!

Lots of good tiltless strings
Had a minor personal epiphany with clipper spinning sets, they're a bit easier to manage now
I've started landing torques on both sides again! (from clipper and toe) Focusing a lot on my catch (my clipper tends to just launch back up when I'm landing a torque) and it went great!
Did a bunch of ducking stuff as well
Managed to land a spinning ducking osis, haha, just had to see if I still could!

Otherwise, I've just been running my old 2-5 mile runs a few times a week (definitely feeling way better these days now that I'm back into that)

Later,
Conrad

Had a great session with Mike last night! (To the sweet, sweet sounds of 8/16 chiptunes from all the classics)

I didn't think I would last very long having ran 5 miles on Monday, but we went for almost 3 hours! I'm also incredibly sore today.

Random highlights:

Blurriest
Toe Blur
Toe Blizzard
A completely one-sided string of 4-5 2 dex tricks, haha!
A whole bunch of long tiltless strings
On a whim, I almost landed Goliath! What the balls?!

Probably a bunch of other stuff.

Mike was also doing really well! We did some illusion and drifter training, he'll be rocking that shizz before he knows it!

So much soreness!

Later,

You were amazing! ;)

When we left it finally hit me that we went for 3 hours! That went by fast.

I didn't know you could hit so many tricks. Blew me away.

I'll upload your footage to my vimeo account. Or, you can give me your YouTube or vimeo account info and I will upload it for you.

Haha! That's still making my laugh, the first thing I thought when I saw that in the morning, "Man... I am an ASS!"

You can upload that stuff to your account, I don't have accounts on either.

Can't wait for the next session!

Had a short session with Kendall today.

Highlights:

Flog - first try even! (Just because Flogging Molly was playing about a block away from where we were)
Pigbeater
Tombstone
Lots of random tiltless strings with more two dex tricks thrown in
A few Eggbeaters
A single Symposium DLO
Magellan > Pixie Legover rpt
Drifter > Pdx Drifter one side, kept footing it on both
Some fun with Dada Curves
A few Butterfly Swirls

Stepping/Blurry sets were on for the most part both side
Footed Blurry Drifter both sides
After a few weeks of playing regularly, my drifters are feeling considerably easier (I've been drilling paradox drifter pretty much every session)
Whirls were just not on today, not sure what's up with that!

I should really order new shoes, my right one is almost worn completely through, haha! (It's also 5+ years old, will have to post a picture someday)

All in all, everything's coming back pretty quickly and I should be back to my old self in no time!
