Hey Reilly, I'm glad you like my blog. If you need an invite to fitocracy, let me know. Actually, anyone who wants one, let me know. I think I have a bunch. Or 10 or something...
So life crap first. My wife has surgery tomorrow. It's supposed to be a simple procedure but I'm still scared to death. Talk about a shitty situation. I just want it to be over, but I know it's going to haunt me for years. Also, just found out our rent is going up. When it rains it pours.
No footbag tonight. I want my knee to get better.

Uhg. Got home from the hospital and went and picked up junk food. Not if that affected my workout, if I'm just getting weaker, or if the crappyness of life lately effected it. Another factor could be that I didn't take a day off between CC workout like normally do. I think I'll try footbag tomorrow.

When I see "prison training" on this footbag forum I can't help but imagine someone drilling toe stalls over and over again with a bar of soap. You know, just in case. Coincidentally, I've actually tried stalling a bar of soap in the safety of my home shower. However, I was only able to manage a success rate of about 1/12, which would probably be insufficient in an actual prison environment. The bar is slipperier than you might expect...

I've that too Rory, and yes, it's really hard. I resorted to practising toe scrapes instead. It's just as effective.
Planks throughout the day today. GO CORE! And footbag tonight.

Pretty poor day diet wise for sure. Busy day too, but that was my own doing. I went out in the ministry this morning and then headed over a friends place to play nerd games (Star Wars Miniatures). Had a few fun games. Won some and lost some. Then it was off to my wifes cousins for supper and trip planning. Didn't get home till 11:30 and had to get my work out in. Not about to let this streak end. The work didn't end until after 12, but I'm still counting it.

Nice.
Your blog is so inspiring.
Fitocracy helps so much! It's only been a few days, but I haven't missed a day. Do you have favourite core exercises? I noticed that you do the plank a lot. I do bird-dog which is kind of similar. What do you suggest? I'm not very well-versed at work-out. I need core strengthening.
Also, have you played Star Wars Lego 3? (Clone Wars) I haven't, 'cause I heard it wasn't so great, but I'm thinking I might try it next time I buy a game.

First, I'm doing planks so much because of a challenge over on Nerdfitness.com. They are a great core workout, and I'm enjoying seeing how long I can hold it... 3 minutes is my current max. I go to core exercise is leg raises. Convict Conditioning lays out ten different progressively harder variances of this move and you really feel it even on the early ones. Then you progress to doing them while hanging.

I haven't played Lego Star Wars III yet, but a buddy has it and really enjoyed it. Have you played any of the other lego SW games? I imagine it has the same type of humour and game play so if you enjoyed them and like the show I'm sure it's good.

So... weird injury today that I won't talk about, but it affected my footbag session. Mostly in a comfort way, not in a 'I'm permanently injure myself if I keep playing' way. I quit regardless.

I feel combos like that will be important for me to get to my goal of 10 contacts of shuffle. Also of note is that that combo was at the start of what went on to be a 33 contact tiltless run. Not bad. I need to dial down at least one more uptime set if I'm going to hit my goal. I really think that stepping would be good as it would open up the transitions between toe and clipper. Need to drill that sooner rather than later. Hoping my 'injury' clears up by Wednesdays' session. Oh, I also drilled a few 1 add tricks.
