A Master with a Riceball
Me and Rasmus did the second day just the two of us. It was even more fun than the first day. The location was better, the kids were nicer and we got to pick sandwiches first (salmon).
After the shows me and Rasmus did some footbag organisation work and then we had a meeting for the members of the board. Followed by some beers and ending up with me and Nis dancing to the wee hours at some night club.
Today me and Rasmus started on the new FootbagDenmark website. You can see what we have done so far here. It still a big mess but you get the idea.
Tomorrow I plan on playing (with Jeff Mudd who is in Copenhagen) and after that we have our annual christmas dinner(more of a new years dinner this year) for friends and members of the club.
And next week I am going to Berlin for the FC Footstars Birthday!
I actually feel like a footbagger again.

Played at Nørrebrohallen, which got a nice new redesign together with Rasmus, Verena and Jeff.
It was really nice to have a proper session. Was happy to hit bubba bsos and that I schooled the shit out of clipper, mirage and pixie.
Especially the outside area of Nørrebrohallen looks cool. Only problem is that it is super slippery when wet for biking.

Here is a music video with some friends and danish superstar Medina where part of the video is filmed where the photo is taken:

Just an article on Steve-O (of Jackass fame) and his relationship to footbag.

Kinda cool.
Now shower and then off to the new years dinner with all the lovely footbag people here in Copenhagen.

hey yeah, was glad to hear you're gonna come to our birthday!
new website looks good, though a lil "standard" web 2.0... mybe try to give it some more indivdual flavor?
on a side note: that area around norrebrohallen was designed by berlin landscape architects topotek1. just recently, there were posters all over my uni with a photo from that very spot, 'cause one of them came to do a lecture...

Will definitely look into giving it some more personal flavour.
FC Footstars Birthday was great! Good seeing everybody (well, those who where there) and I also seem to bond with some new people from the danish crew when going on trips, really like that.
Not much to say footbagwise, was nice to see people shred but I didn't really play.
Played with the ROCKSTAR Jeff today. Good session, we mainly just tried stupid stuff and had fun.
Only thing I was happy to hit was PLO * 3 > Magellan > Dimwalk and Reverse Swirling Far Toe.
Jeff is a really good guy and I am excited about hanging more out with him in the future ( and maybe also play more footbag with him
)
Oh, shit.. Forgot something visual.. I just uploaded a bunch of old photos to the FootbagDenmark facebook page, so here is a link to that:

Jeff reminded me that I also hit DATW Inside > Muted Swirl last session which is pretty cool.
Just had a short solo drill session, was still able to get a couple of things I liked:
Quantum Rev Whirl bs
Headstall > Blind Pincher first try (Take that Jeff!)
25 tiltless first try
Also I figured out why my spinning has been sucking so bad lately.
Some visualshiznit because my highlights suck:

I've been watching some videos of "The Gonz" today and he is pretty much the raddest dude ever. Like a mix of Jakob Wagner and Tom Mosher.
Watching him reminded me of alot of things, most importantly that footbag is about having fun!
In this video he says "Skateboarding is about doing things that doesn't seem possible with the gravity we have".
Like breaking gravity to the viewer simply by manipulating it. I really like that idea and think it translates super well to footbag.
He also talks about perfection in skateboarding compared to the school system - good points there aswell.
I also made maybe the weirdest footbag video ever today. Just some old clips of me fucked up.

Gonna play with Lise a little later. Excited about that.

Haha. I agree but it was supposed to say "Just some old clips of me, that I fucked up.". That being said I wouldn't be surprised if I actually was drunk when some of these clips where taken, especially the one with me doing some weird trick on the floor.jeffmudd6 wrote:Playing alone in a room after a night of partying is something that people really need to appreciate more!
Playing with Lise was pretty awesome. The first 20 minutes was hell as always. She was talking about playing a lot in the future I would like to get up to 2-3 sessions a week.
I thought Lise played well. Not so many long runs but some reasonably hard stuff first try all over.
I played so-so but with some stuff I was happy with. Like "Pixie Legover > Pixie Muted Clipper > Symple Swirl", "Tripwalk bsos" and 10 infinites.
SUMMER IS HERE SOON! I CAN FEEL IT!
Missed your message the first time, but I think I answered your question anyway. We do not but we both hope that will change now.Muffinman wrote:That was a really Sam Colclough-esque video.
Do either you or Lise play regularly?
I love Sam's videos so thanks for that.
Lise moved way closer to me. I think that's pretty cool.
So it seems like people post videos they have been watching. Just watched this one. Renato's style is so sick and the atmosphere is so nice.

I think I am gonna start working really hard on swirls. It's really the trick I like the most in footbag and I think it will help me fix some of my clipper problems.
FOOTBAG!
Here is some SNOOP:

Did a footbag workshop with Rasmus yesterday at a Holliday Camp for kids.
Two hours in the sun, chilling and kicking with Rasmus and sweet kids. Good times.
Was doing some Whiz tricks and Rasmus asked if I could do Whiz ending on Reverse Guay. Like the bastard child of Double Legover and Whirling Swirl.
Got pretty close in baggy pants. Wanna hit that. Feels fun.
Had a footbag dream last night! Been a while since I've had one of those.
It was about me going to footbag tournament last second. Some European Country's national champs. First I saw Jeremiah and Evan Lovely.
Then I was chilling on a matress with Nis. And then I met Charles Dupuy and got super stoked. Followed him out, met Tim Heun and got to some tram.
Then I think I woke up. Real interesting.
I got my first job interview in ages in 2 hours. Waiter at some fancy café. Hope I get it. I could really use the money.
I like this blog that Matt Cross is running.

I'd seen him posting about it on Facebook, but never really looked at it much. I didn't realize it was his blog. Some of the posts are hilarious. Matt's got a real passion for GD.
Subtle head definition. Serious balls. Proportionately small to the subject, but unabashedly so. A classic graffiti dick.
Note the subtle use of ballhair, and the smiley face hidden underneath, as well as the enhanced eyebrows.

Hahahaha! I like that Tom!
Thanks for the comments guys.
After Mads Hole started posting footage from Euros in Copenhagen in 2004 I wanted to find this video:

I like Europe On Fire better but haven't watched this one in ages. And the last run by Vasek is still INSANE!
I must say I feel a little bit weirder watching footage from Euros was in Copenhagen. I started playing right around that time and didn't go.
I was a young kid and had never been to Copenhagen on my own. I like seeing all the locations I have played so many times and all the familiar danish faces in the background.
But I do feel bummed that I didn't witness it first hand.
According to everybody it was legendary probably only beaten by Worlds in Berlin.
I hope I one day can be part of bringing a big international tournament back to Copenhagen.
By the way: I got the job. This means I will be able to afford going to tournaments in the future! YAAAAAAY!

WORLDS IS 90% SURE FOR ME NOW!
Went to the weekly thursday session yesterday. Didn't bring my gear since my feet and legs are totally destroyed from waitering.
First we had a meeting:
- Economy looks really nice
- We are gonna host a small jam this summer, Vasek and Milan is gonna be in town
- Danish Champs will be a one day event outside
- We are gonna make some t-shirts soon
It was really nice to see Kim again. Been almost a year since I last saw him.
He got a lot of shit from admitting that he likes Bon Iver. That was funny.
He hit Gyro Butter > Pdx Torque which looked awesome.

Here is a little comic I like:
