I just found some shredable shoes at marshalls for $20. I couldn't find the exact kind that I got online but this pair is very similar and looks easier to mod.

I'm not going to mod mine, cause I just want them as regular shoes for now. I just thought people might be interested. The pair I have just has more layers of leather on the outside.

I modded some polo laver knock offs a couple years ago:

They were okay for a while, but the fabric beneath the leather was too weak and started ripping after about a dozen sessions. I also found the soles and the overall weight of the shoe to be significantly higher compared to lavers.

Yeah, that would be my guess too. The soles look like straight up heavy rubber. I hope you bring them to PSU tonight, Drew. I'd like to check them out in person. Maybe they could be used and aren't that heavy?

I haven't modded them, but I don't really like these shoes for freestyle. They're a bit too bulky, kinda like skate shoes, and I don't think the clipper surface will be very good. I will mod them eventually but I don't see much potential.
