Jumping rope and juggling two bags? Really? REALLY?
That was a nicely done show. It's so hard to perform footbag in this sort of format. Basically, doing something that can sometimes be hard for the pros to follow in front of a huge crowd of people who have no idea what's going on... it can end up being really confusing.
This, however, was excellent. Just the right level of difficulty with some flashy (and amazing) stuff like the jump rope thrown in. Plus the crowd interaction and launching the bags into the audience... perfect.
Regardless of how he ended up doing on the show, this was an excellent representation for footbag.

More or less this is what it says the judges.
The first one said that she liked the last half of the routine because the first part was slow and repeated (this was his second round), but she says that was a really good presentation.
The second one said that he knows that play footbag is really hard because he tried to play hacky before. He said the that his movements, agility, speed and his fluity was really good.
The third one says that Brian was an excellent urban athlete because he has the body, the look, and the perfect mix between freestyle and jump rope. She congratulate his effort to play with the bag and the preparation in case of a drop.
He passed to a third round, I hope to have the video soon!

+1. Great composure, put a good face on footbag. I also liked his little speech of how footbag is a healthy alternative to "hanging out on street corners" and other urban vices.Muffinman wrote:He's got a lot of stage charm. !
Also have to commend him on doing such a great job of keeping things fresh and interesting for non-footbagger eyes. I know that for most people who've never seen the sport, all the tricks kinda blur together, so doing stuff like 2 bags and the jumprope were great ways to show the audience/judges that you were doing something different.

I just saw the third round video, and wanted to congratulate Brian on what a fantastic performance - I think it's one of the best footbag performances I've seen, especially in terms of choreography and presentation. Fantastic work!
