Here are my latest creations.

I sent 2 bags to Larry (Xsisbest) a few weeks ago.
One of my 42's, and a custom 32.

And I've just finished my second bag made with the kevlar thread.
The stitches are tied really tight around my tensioning thimble, but the gather doesn't really show up that much as the thread is so much thicker than floss.
This bag feels pretty soft right away because of my choice of colours, but should require quite some breaking in (the threads shouldn't ever stretch)
3 stitch this time, and I also glued the knots and thread ends with shoe goo, so they should stay in place with any luck.

I think Brian has a twin down under! Outstanding bags. I love the 32 panel so much I've been neglecting the 42 but I know I'll be using it plenty in the near future. Highly recommend these bags to anyone!

Oh wow.
Can you explain what you use to do that? "Laser cut" sounds awesome, but kinda ambiguous. Maybe I missed something from past pages, since I never read this thread?

It means he knows someone with a laser cutting machine!

I'm guessing the machine used wasn't quite this big though.
Nathan, that is such a great idea having your panels laser cut. All exactly the right size! They could even have pre cut stitch holes if the beam is narrow enough.
Are you going to get any more panels cut in the future?

Erik, yeah D. is right! Penn State has a laser cutter that I have access to thanks to Ian Brill. Really Ian did everything -- gave me the idea, designed the templates for me and showed me how the machine works. He's the man, and he's saved me like a day's work of cutting panels already. We just laser-cut about 30 bags yesterday. Time to get to stitching!

damn, i must have acces to that kind of technology, can you buy a laser for homeuse?

Holy shit Nate, you guys did LOTS more. Gotta do that when we move in next year.

I spent most of today stitching a new bag.

FunBag #35! Amaretta & USL. It looks great and only has a few things wrong with it, as opposed to my other bags which have all the things wrong with it

I know what to fix to make it look almost flawless now though, so that's a plus. But I really like this new one.

Big ups to Nate for the stitch tips.

That's totally possible, I've been lasercutting panels (and plastic templates for panels) for awhile now, and was even thinking about making footbag stitching "starter kits" with a complete set of panels with precut holes. Absolutely doable.

What's really crazy about the laser cutter is that you have infinite freedom to design a new panel pattern in 3D, then "flatten" the shapes and send it to the laser cuttter. I took the standard "soccer ball" patttern, and made two 16-panel long strips by joining adjacent hexes and pents...it's a two panel bag based on a 32-panel design. And that's a simple example, the possibilities are (literally) endless.

I'll try to post pictures of the stuff I've made one of these days.

edit: After PSU Jam I made 2 more 2-stitch bags:

Left one is filled with tungsten and s/s disc fill. Right one is filled with 2 types of stainless steel. Both weigh in at about 66.6 grams, filled at about the same ratio. Both are for sale.

) and Dark Blue w/ sparkles Microfiber. Gonna be a nice bag. Thanks to Kevin for being the first to test out my new and improved FunBags.

I'm going to be selling my FuNBaGz for $15 a pop. They're cheap since I'm just starting to get my consistency going. All 3-stitches. If anyone would like one, please PM me. I can certainly do customs and I have a ton of colors.

You may be wondering about the tag... I know there a lot of footbag stitchers selling bags nowadays, so if I was going to start stitching and selling my bags, I wanted to do something different. On each and every bag I stitch, I'm going to start putting tags on them containing a "Fun Fact" that will hopefully make you chuckle/smile/giggle/LYFAO/despise me... Hopefully the fact won't be so bad that you despise me though

But the Fun Facts are meant to do what I love doing... Giving people something to laugh about, making their day a little brighter.

Hope you guys like my new idea.

somehow my bags come out a tad unround-ish lately, maybe i have to start sewing stab by stab once again, sweatshop isn´t it for my bags i guess... anyways, this one feels pretty nice and round and is also looking for a new home. 20,- € and you can get it send home

got lots of these sitting here unfilled. kinda stocking up for euros... and ran out of filler -.- all usSoft and juicy as hell
