Most of these numbers come from playing ctf_2fort, so they might not count for much. If I just want to kill some time/energy after work I will play on that map because most people who play there don't care about capturing the flag. It's a lax sandbox atmosphere that leaves me to farm kills or practice things. Finally, I generally don't have to deal with the frustration of topping the scoreboard by a large margin and losing because the teams are completely stacked. Most points:195 (as Heavy)

Team Fortress 2
i personnaly use the black box caus i dont really play as if there was a medic in our team, i prefer to deal damage and get HP ... + im very accurate now so my HP goes up kinda fast, even if im an arena player.C-Fan wrote:You should make a point to get one of the rocket launchers that only has 3 rockets in the clip. The default rocket launcher has 4, but ones like the Black Box only have three.
The reason why should be obvious.
I'll add you tonight.
When i dont arena, i play on cp maps and i often get near to 0 ammo and since im topping the score often and i think i can make my team win because there are a lot of noobs, i stay with my black box
I couldn't seem to find you. Can you add me? Username is my last name.Sporatical_Distractions wrote:Just downloaded tf2. Add me. username: missoulafootbagalliance
While I'm here, what do people think are the cheapest items in the game? For me it's probably:
Others?
They break Sandvich. Is bad.
I would say the Phlogostinator was a good pick for the list of most unbalanced items. However, even it doesn't hold a candle to the champion of recent stupid additions to the TF2 arsenal, the Pomson 6000. Its lasers go through players, it removes 20% of the cloak from Spies, and worst of all it removes 10% of a Medic's charge on hit. That last part in particular makes for extremely stagnant matches because now Medics either have to hit their charge early (essentially halving the effectiveness of any given push) or risk suddenly dropping to 90% charge when their teammate is running into a heavily fortified area.Updated the Heavy's sandvich so it will only resupply ammo if the owner picks it up after dropping it. This means the only way to gain health from the sandvich is by eating it.

Good call on the Pomson. I have used it some (mostly because it doesn't use metal/ammo), but didn't realize it affected medics and spies the way you described. I also didn't realize the Sandvich was changed and downgraded like that. That sucks. Is that the same case with the Buffalo Steak?
We should play again. I'm sure I can find some time this weekend...you down?

I feel like I have to admit this in public: after learning about this, I've totally started using the Pomson more, and specifically used it to target any medics I see anywhere.C-Fan wrote:Good call on the Pomson. I've just started acquiring and using strange weapons. What stranges do you have, and what ranks are they at?
I currently have 4 strange weapons. I'll check and post their counts tonight, but I'm pretty sure about their ranks:
"Gore-spattered" medigun
"Uncharitable" knife
"Scarcely lethal" Bonesaw
"Unremarkable" Eyelander
So far the knife has been the easiest to level up. The medigun counts ubers, which is weird to me since I think assists would make more sense to track.

I still use the Frontier Justice, so I pretty much treat my buildings as disposable. Sure, kill my stuff, give me a dozen revenge crits to unload!C-Fan wrote:I feel like I have to admit this in public: after learning about this, I've totally started using the Pomson more, and specifically used it to target any medics I see anywhere. As a frequent engie who often can't rely on his team to protect his nests, I'll take almost anything to make sure my nest survives.

i forgot to say that i started to play on cp_badlands. It very fun as a soldier, there are many cool jumps to make.
Plus, i had my first try at double airshot and i succeded !!! there was a medic on a soldier, i threw a rocket at the soldier feet, he went up. Then like i always do, i shot another one to make the kill in the air but he didnt die because he had the medic. SO i had the chance to shot another one and i made the kill. I was like "OMG!!! I DID IT !!!" that was awesome !!!!
