Good luck in Boulder - you have to revive the "glory days" of hack in Boulder.

Your game sounds like it is really stepping up. I would love to kick with you some time.

Had my first session in Boulder today. Right outside my apartment building next to a skate park. Just drilled some basics

-89 inf
-152 osis
-61 duck clip
-24 duck butt
-34 drifter

Pretty exhausted after each of those. Trying to get back in shape so when I go hiking out here I can do 20 mile days and see as much of the Rockies as possible.

Playing with Ken (and maybe Pete Irish!!!) tomorrow. Hopefully we'll film.

Haven't played much lately. Not much to say, but I wanted to use my oh-so-popular blog as a way to promote my latest Pipenbag contest:

Sorry I've been kinda out of the loop lately. Mostly dealing with injuries. But yeah, you should come down to Denver this weekend to hang out and shred. NBA Finals Game 3 is also on Sunday, and I plan on watching/drinking at my place. Just throwing that out there!

I love your contests.
This one looks super fun. I can't see what comes from it. Way to promote the sport!

Thanks Erik.

I felt bad about my last non-post, so I threw a couple clips together after work today. this is from like a week ago during a 45 minute session.

Good stuff. you'll get a beast before the summer ends...i know it. Nice smog drill, and the fog-alp smoke really stood out. Hope to shred with you Sunday.

Fog > alpine smoke was baller (or maybe bagger?). Good video overall, too.

Good hanging out yesterday, despite the heat. It broke a record apparently, and today is supposed to too. Still fun though. See you next Sunday hopefully.

Thanks, Nick.

Ken, thanks for hosting me this weekend. I had a great time.

So man, I feel stupid right now. I never checked footbag.org club listings when I moved to Boulder and totally missed that there was a local club listed. After firing off an email to all the members, nearly all replied, and it turns out there is a guy in Boulder who still kicks, a guy in a nearby suburb, as well as third dude who recently moved to Denver. Damn! And they're all down to kick still. So yeah, remember the .org club listings...

Found a sweet covered spot to play in downtown Boulder, which was great for my session yesterday because it was like 100 degrees out. Played for maybe 45 minutes.

Recent highlights:
-pixie everything x2 (32 contacts)
-step ss ill>smoke>bliz>smoke>rpt
-5 minutes dropless warm-up with my demo bag:

Also want to quickly note that I am continuing the "teach toe stalls" idea through a promo sale for my footbags. You can get up to $10 off a footbag by promoting the sport. Read here.

It's been a while, Mr. Blog.

I'm back in State College after a highly enjoyable summer working for BACKPACKER Magazine in Boulder, CO. It's kinda funny that the whole time I was working in the office, I was totally unpaid, and now that I've left they are allowed to pay me, so I've been doing some freelance work. Which is great, because I literally go hiking and get $$$$ for it.

This year I'm living with Nick Pooplini and Ivan I in an apartment. It's a lot of fun and totally beats living at home. We're at work on some cool things and have been in talks with some local businesses about a footbag tournament that would be very different and far more awesome than most tournaments you've ever been to. So keep your eyes peeled for when we announce what's going down.

Last week I did a short demo at an Open Mic. My friend beatboxed, and Ivan filmed, check it out:

Good job promoting your club. Also, good trick selection for presenting to the public. It was funny hearing some of the reactions from the crowd.

When do you think your tournament would happen?

Stoked to see you this weekend in NYC. I'll bring you $ for the bags I sold, as well as the remaining bags too.

That was by far the WORST presentation of footbag I've ever seen. You didn't mention my name ONCE. If anything people will probably drop out of your club now. :P

Also who was that local yokel heckling you on stage? I think he called you a sumo wrestler at one point? I guess I can see the resemblance....

As the person who filmed this, I pretty much went home and decided that I no-longer want to be a part of PSU footbag, as a direct result of Nathan not mentioning Doug's name. shit. my life sucks now. :D
