Today I hit a version of something Ive been trying for a while.....
I was hoping to compile footage for a video , but just decided to post this now...

 gyro blazing far osis>swirling spinning osis....
I feel that I can get it more symmetrical and be able to hit "swirling spinning osis" b2b... the first trick was done as a gyro blazing set because I didnt dex before I turn, where as the second trick is a true and exaggerated swirling spinning osis. this is a link I have wanted for a long time and hope to build up to swirling mobius b2b one day

also
phasing rev up >run with swirling spinning legover in it
mobius screw and swirling mobius in a run
pogo fog

commets appreciated

I've known Ken for a while, and I think what he meant was "Outta This World".

I concur.

I guess I had suggested that combo. Looking back, I didn't really think through how mean that was. Sorry.

But nice job.

Ken ....thanks !
John .... Thank you man ! There were three or four challenges you gave me that were super cool and also super hard. I have been recently footing both swirling spinning swirl and swirling spinnin butterfly swirl . I hope to land them in the next sessions ... I have mainly been drilling but still devote about fifteen minutes of each session to new Links ....

This was a journey for me to be able to hit this and it still needs work.
I can hit the true swirling spinning osis off my left clipper but I have a tendency to do gyro blazing by accident on that side .

To get this ...It took me learning swirling spinning on both sides and also took me learning p blender > ripstein to be able to in spin into a swirling set. The swirling set off my right clipper is my strong side but the zoom out of the swirl has posed a difficultly to me for quite some time .

John ...
Thanks for the inspiration!!! I couldn't even do a swirl when I first met u .. After learning rev swirl from you ( which still feels more comfortable than swirl to me) I was able to get ripstein and the rest of the swirlin tricks I do ....rev swirl continues to be a part of my base game and my harder tricks ...the only quad I can lay down often is phasing rev up and two of the four dexes were directly learned at jazz fest in new Orleans with you ... Also first infinity swirl was with you ... Your game continues to inspire me and it has been a goal of mine for a while to be able to hit a bunch of swirling tricks that no one really does .... Thanks again man ...there are many challenges I still haven't gotten and am still working towards

I got to watch the video when I got home, and it was sweet! The difference between gyro blazing and swirling spinning is pretty small...I'd say you hit that trick back to back. But it's admirable that you are trying to get it exactly how you picture it.

As for my last post, it's a picture of a comet. I figured you'd like it, since you said they'd be appreciated.

Excited to meet you at USO in a couple months!

I love your game, and your tricks are sick. I'm digging the flurries. Request: BSOS? For the swirling spinning symple swirl, though, the bag comes up between the toe and heel of your shoe, so I wouldn't say that's clean. It would have to pass behind your heel to be clean. The swirling mobius right after looks good though. Purely constructively, I agree with Ken's comments on the gyro blazing too -- it looks like swirling. I'm not trying to be a dick -- just helpful.

Hey ...
Thanks for posting and the compliments in my game ...

I'll definitely try flurry bsos ...I can do it both sides but have yet to bsos it ..
As far as the swirling set ....it is just a shitty angle ...basically the bag get a clean dex durin the first part of the turn ...I wish I would have faced the camera and the angle would have looked better ...if it was my other side ..I wouldn't feel that it is clean , but Honeslty it I really really hard for me to get a the swirlin spinning set on that side ...I'll get it again from a different angle ...the set has to go higher than swirling möbius ...I feel that the set was clean and around the ankle but I admit that it is a horrible angle fr this trick....the swirling möbius however is at a great angle ......damn it ...I'll just hit it again

I just had a similar thing with my hip flexor. I took a few days off, doing one advil a day. When I came back I made a point to do a longer warmup followed by a session with nothing that'd piss it off. Then I warmed down slowly, and stretched that hip flexor. I took another day off, and the next session back I did a slow warmup, and I was fine after that. As a precaution, I'm making a point to continue the slow warmups and stretch down afterwards.

As for the swirling set on that video, I agree with both you and Erik. That is, I think the set could be cleaner, but I also think you can hit it again at a different angle. I bet it's just a matter of getting more comfortable with the move.

Oh, one other thing about taking time off with the hip flexor. If you can, use the time off to pick a routine song, and start mentally choreographing your routine. This was helpful for me.

Heal up quick man!

Ken ...
Thanks for your post and your advice ... I will definitely take it...

I usually have a pretty good warm up before I play ...my body doesn't really allow me to play until I have warmed up for about 20-25 min ...
I do however know that I need to warm back down more than I do ...
Last night I took a bunch of anti inflammatorys and a muscle relaxer ...
I was able to sleep without much pain but can tell now that I'll be out for at least a couple days ...the main motion that hurts is when I lift my knee up like for a mirage ...

As for routines , I have debated whether or not I should do one but have finally decided that I will ....I may use the same song I used in easy coast and change the routine or just pick a new song .

Ken , thanks again for the advice and concern

Outta this squirrel.

Insane dude. You've gotten so good. I haven't had internet for a week, as I've told you, and now I look and see all of your new videos and tricks... absolutely insane. Good luck at USO. Wish I was going so we could shred and hang out again.

Wish I was able to play :\ Hopefully I'm down but not out.

I just had a dream that it was the U.S. Open weekend. But all you did was show up to canvas for Ron Paul and hand out junk food. Don't you know Twinkies are bad for your furious?

^ lol....thats super funny......I do like Ron Paul and Twinkies too I guess....but not much of an activist ......Im glad that dreams of us open are happening though

also...Nick ....thats ridiculously funny too... thanks for the nice words man

Ok...after one week off....my hip flexor is better....and my knee is not hurting me any more...

today I had a recovery/fun session..

tried to keep the bag off the ground and take about a min in between so that Im not playing spent but having energy.......it was 103 degress outside today.. I play for exactly one hour......
warmed up and down properly

hit
marius and p torque both bsos
symp quantum p mirgae>run with food bsos
swirling rev up >dimmer>run
several runs with a bunch of 3s bsos 20+ contact
15 double dexes
swirling spinning butterfly>p torque
parkwalk>dyno>p illusion bsos....flip needed adjustments in form
phonex>blurriest>3s>bw>ptorque>3s and 4s>scorpions tail>mobius>tomahawk dyno bsos
dimmer>bw>ripstein>run
ripstein>dlo....which i need

had a decent attempt at swirling vortex swirl--now I realize that i should try and hit swirling vortex more because if i can get it constentantly ..it goes to my strong swirl and im pretty sure i could get a swirling mobius after it ......I dont think anyone has ever hit swirling vortex>swirling mobius.

OK ....there are 9 weeks until open.... comp preparation has begun....

i need 6 good runs,
and a dropless routine.
