Hey guys, haven't posted or kicked much for quite a while. Just kinda reuniting and getting some good cardio while living at Shell Albian Village camp during my shifts near Fort McMurray. Got pretty frustrated during these sessions, hence the name, so there's some barely audible unique swears somewhere in there behind the music, which is sampled from Girl Talk - That's Right.
Tips are welcome. I realize I favour the hell out of my right foot and I come close to kneeing my self in the face on open ducks, I trip over my own feet and look like I blazed a fatty and had a couple wobblies before playing, move around too much, take too many steps and didn't put enough variety into the clip, but other than that, comments are welcome :)

Hey Kyle.
It looks like you're having trouble with your tricks because you need a stronger foundation with basic kicks, stalls, and tiltless. You should be able to consistently hit controlled tiltless runs before going for some of the tricks you're trying.
Try some of these:
-near inside stall > same foot clipper [repeat] (for 50+ contacts)
-50 alternating clippers
-legover > same legover [repeat] > mirage > same mirage [repeat] > pickup > same pickup [repeat] > illusion > same illusion [repeat]
-far legover > far clipper > near legover > far clipper [repeat] > the same with mirages > the same with pickups > the same with illusions
-the same as above but replace clipper with osis
-20 butterflies
-20 osii
-toe near butterfly > osis > pdx mirage [repeat] for 20+ contacts

All of the harder stuff will come a lot sooner and more naturally when you can do these.

Yeah, I know you're right. I always end up getting equally frustrated working on tiltless and tripless runs as when I work on my sick 1 and 3 moves though with less gratification most times. Sometimes it's hard to believe I'll progress much further past this kind of 5 year platue I've been at. My ankles don't like letting me do consistent clippers as far as I'm concerned, but I feel like if I got myself another pair of G units and take your advice w a side of diligence, you're probably right, I'll get more consistent. Thanks for the challenges, I may cross one of those off in my life time, haha.
Cheers Erik

It seems silly, and frustrating, and like moving backward, but that's how all of the good players got good. Look at Jay Boychuk. He's invented more tricks than Jorden Moir and he's constantly going back to work on basics like clipper and inside kicks! In order to get good at something you have to invest the time and dedication. You have to find a way to make it fun. It doesn't have to sound as boring as the drills I listed. Make it fun. Set challenges for yourself, and setup a personal challenges thread in the Challenges forum for others to give you challenges, and make it a game of knocking off each accomplishment. If the goals are too hard, set lower goals. You need a sense of accomplishment and smalls accomplishments are better than stagnation or, worse, regression.

Jou the meng, meng. Thanks for the encouragement buddy. I gotta remind myself I do this for fun sometimes and not to do big tricks and show off for people, although that's a big part of it too, who am I kidding, haha.
I'm far more likely to have fun though if I'm more consistent with the basics. As I was saying earlier though, I really want to get my hands on a pair of size 10.5-11 G units again. Those were the most amazing shoes for me and totally compensated my crappy ankle torque. The toe box wasn't amazing on the G units if I remember correctly, but the clippers felt awesome. I have a wide toe box Merrel running shoe I've been using lately, which is amazing for toe stalls, but sucks for clipper. If only there were a balance between the 2. Any idea where I would find some old G units? I've been having terrible luck on ebay and kijiji.
Thanks again
