june 12, 2007: Listening to Seal's "Kiss By a Rose" on repeat

june 26, 2007: ShrEdmonton--

Thursday:
Woke up at around six in the morning with some Yerba Mate and the movie Captain Ron. Kyle and Zeb came at around 10:30 am and off we were. The mapquest route was kind of janky because the road we were going to take was seasonally closed. A gas station shred session went down and then we had to take a detour through the blackfoot reservation which tacked 3 extra hours onto our trip.

Upon arrival at the border, the car search began. I thought that it was going to take no time at all but they found a lighter in my backpack w/ resin on the bottom. Didn't even know that was in there. It went from one person searching our car to about four people searching. We kicked footbag inside the station. One of the border patrol men told us that if we are going to do a sport, we should take it outside. We were so stoked that he called it a sport that we ended up just sitting down and waiting.

We arrived in Edmonton at Byrin and Kevin's but neither one was home. Zeb and Kyle spent about 20 hours on the road Kevin eventually came home from the show he was at and was feeling a little bit drunk. Rory came over and we had a kitchen shred session. I hit voodoo>inspinning osis and almost crapped my pants.

Eventually James, Mario, and Amanda showed up and Mario immediately went to bed. James, Amanda and I had an all nighter drinking and talking about our family lives. It was pretty awesome. When morning came we drove around Edmonton shouting "THE STATES!!" at passers by. We made our way to the West Edmonton Mall for some food and then wandered off to jam on one of the Stores keyboards. James was laying down drum lines and I was playing some chord progressions. It was super fun. But then the guy kicked us out saying that the neighbors were complaining, which they didn't, but whatever.

july 6 2007: Took the dogs of this ranch I'm looking after for a walk this morning. One of them came back with a gnarly back half of a baby deer carcass. Blood got all over me and I have no extra clothes before work. EWWWWW!!!!

July 7 2007: I don't like getting below 150 lbs. I weighed myself this morning and I'm at 139 lbs. Looks like I have at least 11 lbs to gain by Worlds. Don't know why this steak diet isn't working.
--Wish I still had this problem.. and a steak diet

july 10, 2007: "It's not hacky sack" as the footbaggers are quick to point out. Footbagging is more of an individual sport in which the goal is to challenge yourself to string together many tricky combinations with sport names like "your mom"
--An article snippet about the Missoula Footbag Alliance:

july 10, 2007: James after hesitantly deciding to move in with us: "Alright man. I'll huck it and see if I can clean it. If worst comes to worst, I'll just bail to far legover and pass."

july 30, 2007 Tried toe spinning ducking muted pdx torque and almost biffed it face first into the fireplace. wasn't even close

aug 3 2007 2 drunk 15 year olds tried selling me crack last night. That was really weird. I've never even seen that stuff until last night

sep 4 2007 Jere asked me to try paradox omellette (paradox illusioning opp symp illusion). I'd never given it a try before and managed to hit it first try and then later in the sess midstring. so far I'm 2/2 for that trick and never want to try it again so i can keep the ratio up.
-- I still haven't tried that trick since, leaving my ratio at 100% 8)

sep 5 2007 edit: I got the most sexual stare down of my life yesterday in the grocery store parking lot. an attractive 50 year old was looking me up and down while licking her lips and then biting her lower lip and slightly moaning. It was pretty uncomfortable

march 6 2008 he Art of: Bumming Cigarettes

There are many ways of getting cigarettes for free. Here are some of the best ways I've come up with. They mostly use the pity method

1. "I just accidentally broke my last cigarette in half"
-This usually gets the lender to giggle, increasing their mood, and increasing their chances of bumming you a cigarette. They also pity your position.

2. "I just pulled out my last cigarette and accidentally dropped it into a puddle"
-Only use when it's wet out
-Once again this appeals to their pity

Note:
*Your claims can be made stronger if you have an empty pack of cigarettes in your hand. So carry an empty pack wherever you go
*Also, always have fire on you. They may be skeptical if you have to borrow fire

3. Keep and eye out for girls that look really lonely
-the more unattractive the better, they'll be glad to have someone of the opposite sex communicate with them
-I couldn't figure out a way of not making this sound shallow

nov 17 2008: AFter a few beers last night, I started thinking about gingerbread houses. Such as: what happens when it rains? Would it have to be in a dry climate like a desert? what do you do when your house gets stale? do you have a huge oven in the back where you bake up some walls? Could you just walk through a wall to get into your house if you locked yourself out? That doesn't sound very safe.

jan 7 2009: Had a weird night. Went drinking with my ex and a homeless man walked up to me and gave me a huge hug and kiss on the head saying he hadn't seen me in years. I had never seen him before but apparently i paid him for sex in an alley in the past. He wanted more money and wouldn't leave me alone.

feb 9 2009: That reminds me of the dream I had last night. There was a huge tree monster in my neighbors yard... a giant 4 story wooden troll with branches sticking out of his body. He was spinning a massive branch in his hand like a pen and if he dropped it, it would have crushed my neighbors house. This pissed me off so I yelled "Are you as gay as you are tall?!" and he got super aggressive and could control storms. He tried shooting lightning bolts at me and so I ran inside. He was trying to kill me and my family by throwing lightning through the windows so we crept in the basement. His eyes would peer into the windows trying to find us. Each eye was as big as a 15 passenger van. He couldn't find us though so we chilled and drank beers in the darkness.

june 16 2009: What a crazy ass night. I went to the northside of town, got obnoxiously drunk, and tried to find my way home. I walked about 10miles in the wrong direcction, jumped a moving train on my way back, fucked up my knee on the dive off the train on the way back to town, ended up still about 10miles from my house, bought a cab, didn't have enough money to pay him back, and had to steal money from my mom to pay him off. what the fuck

Went to Trivia Night last night at a bar with a bunch of farmers. I chose the name "Turnip the Volume!" for our team and we ended up winning best team name. I am now the "proud" owner of an inflatable bottle of fireball whisky.

Since Ken linked the blog hilights to this page, I may as well throw in the hilights from the previous page. Thanks Ken!
Sporatical_Distractions wrote:Just went through the first 40 pages of this blog. It's great to go through all the old memories... even though I pretty much just whined for the first 10 pages.

Some stuff that made me laugh:

jun 25, 2005- new six: ducking pdx blender (have no idea how I did it. was trying pdx blender cause i've never hit it and couldn't hit it, so i threw in a duck for shits and giggles and hit it cleanly)

aug 30 2005- it's the second day of school and I ate complete shit down a flight of stairs right at the end of a lecture, crashed on my bike, tripped and fell on the sidewalk, smashed my knee into a chair, and spilled salsa all over myself. but it didn't phase me 8)

aug 30 2005- some homeless guy appeared in my kitchen tonight and started to freestyle. He then tried to sneak into the area where our rooms are and I had to kick him out

sep 4 2005- somehow on my drunken walk home I'd managed to accumulate two flower pots, had a talk with an officer about whether they were mine or not and why I was walking down the street at four in the morning with them (i convinced him i was babysitting the plants), a mexican blanket, a throwing star, two unscratched cds that were laying in the road, and a pair of skate shoes I found in an alley that are my exact size. a girl almost kicked the shit out of me (was entirely my own fault), and I did ridiculous amounts of dancing with as many girls as I could.

sep 6 2005- I punched a bike

oct 9 2005- preface: i live in the basement of a house- so, a crazy night happened last week that i don't think i talked about. I was chilling with a girl drinking a twelver of pilsner urquell and i went upstairs to scare my roomate when he got out of the bathroom. but some random girl walked out instead. I asked her who she was and what she was doing in my house and she started freaking out about cops. that chapped my rear. the last thing i need is cops hanging around the premesis (rhymes with nemesis). i guess the people that live upstairs were throwing a party and cops came because of noise complaints, and all the freshman ran. i told her that she needed to leave and opened the door to our entryway to find a girl ducking down in there after immediately locking the door. i look over her shoulder and see that she locked out my roomate and he couldn't get back in. i looked over his shoulder and saw legs dangling from the roof. girls were actually jumping off of the roof onto our garage and down to the ground the two girls refused to leave but I eventually got them all to leave by going downstairs and playing some super creepy music.

jan 11 2006: i think my moms going through a mid life-crisis. I went to her house for a reading session and found her on the computer watching the new eminem video and bobbing her head to it. she then went to another video of some gangsta rappers or something w/ lots of hoes and bros and schnos and she did the same thing.

feb 1 2006: I'm soooo bored. how bored you ask? so bored that i'm about to put in the godzilla remake with matthew broderick. one of the worst movies made.

oct 26 2006: thought I failed my child development test b/c I guessed on over half the answers. I got it back yesterday and got a 98%

dec 20 2006: keep getting spam mail from a tarot card website. today's mail read: "Venus is tickling Uranus... Expect some surprises"

jan 17 2007 i've taken about five or six massive dumps in the past few months that have set new personal bests for quantity and even size. last one had about 4/5 of it protruding out of the water

feb 6 2007 have another mustache growing. my family violence class, which is 95% girls, will definitely be creeped out

april 11 2007- James randall: Unless a girl comes up and starts licking all up on my balls and calls me daddy duke, fuck em.

Played footbag last night with jere for the first time in about a month and a half. The break was very good... though it wasn't intentional. I've been busy everytime Jere asks me to shred, and refuse to play by myself.

My flip spin was spot on. Straight up and down, close to the body, no spin. Flip spin has been wonky for the past year so that was cool. It made me foot flip rev marius and spinning revup quite a few times. Also, flip pdx whirl had been feeling awkward for the last year but I felt like i couldn't miss it if I tried. Also messed around with toe muted far swirl a lot and hitting datw out of every trick ending in toe that I can think of. Tried phoenix>pdx blender>pdx torque but accidentally hit mobius as the torque move insteaed

some fun stuffs:
-toe muted far swirl>gyro mirage>rpt>freakout
-toe muted far swirl>far non-symp twirl
-flip blender>jani *I'd never even tried osis>barraging before :D
-drifter>gyro whirl>gyro mirage>string felt cool
-whirl war 1>bap drill>string - kept trying to add on drifter>pdx drifter>rpt but couldn't hit flip pdx drifter

I'm actually playing footbag tonight, so there'll be footbag posts too. Getting sick though. Back kills, legs kill, sinuses kill... gonna kill the bag with bops.

in other thoughts, phasing gyro legover would be tight.

just had an awesome session with Jere. double overs were on. drilled inside kick to paradon. had a string with bsos paradon, bsos dimmiest, bsos scorpions tail, and a blurriest. hit bsos fairy opp paradon. fusion bs a few time. bullwhip bs. jere challenged me to spanishfly. I got it strong side right off the bat. then hit strong alpine scorpions tail. after a bunch of failed attempts at flip spanishfly, I randomly tried flip diving ddd and hit it first try *new trick*. then after a few attempts got flip spanishfly, then picked the bag up and immediately hit flip alpine scorpions tail first try *new trick*. went home and nailed strong diving ddd. hit some nemeses. triple bsosd dimmiest. WAHOO!

on a sad note, my mom might only have 1-5 years of life left
