Also Matt Churney rolled thru and kicked for a bit. 2 girls also kicked with us, one was nice, the other was with some dude and kicked it a few times, then when someone else dropped it she yelled, "I win! Now it's time to catch up on a fuck."
HA!

btw, that peewee herman picture just became my new background at work

I still play, but not much lately. No one has been free to kick, people getting married up, or GF'ed up, or worked up, old or all of the above. Need to get some more kickers. Start a new scene. Or just start playing net, since I think they have session for those, and it'd be cool to play with someone. Or maybe become a trampolinist. That shit looks ill.

Also, I hope it didn't sound like I was hatin on peeps that are too busy to kick, or don't kick anymore; I understand how it go.

Kicked today. Feels good.

October 10, 2010 is when I think I truly fucked up my groin, running part of that marathon after first injuring it playing net. It's been 2 years to the day. It's better for the most part. It still clicks once (like cracking a knuckle) when I stretch my leg out or rotate it inward, unless I've been working it out. I don't really think about it. At first I couldn't even run or play, so way better than that. Hopefully some day it will stop clicking too.

In other news, this summer has been pretty awesome with visitors. Armin is coming today, Mathias Blau was just here, Hanna, Anita, Birthday Jam peeps. A nice August-October.

That is an amazing idea. If I host another tourney in the future, this is so happening.

3:40am haven't been playing much footbag for the past few months. Like none. I miss breathing heavy, heart beating hard, and sweating. I never cared about working out, it was just a nice side effect of having fun. My weather gadget on rainmeter says it's 39 degrees, but it didn't seem that cold out just now. I went out, just to practice some basic shit - in pants. That shit sandwich of a session you have to eat when you haven't been playing and can't do your reg moves.

All I did was 2 ball toe juggle and clipper>flapper>rpt-till-drop and listened to good music and looked at the night sky and my breath making smoke against its blackness. And it was so fun and awesome. I don't know why I always forget how good it feels to play solo.

I saw 2 shooting stars tonight (in the sky). I wonder if you look every night if you'd see one. I wonder how many footbag peeps live in spots where they can see a shitload of stars unlike here.

I'm on season 4 of the wire. It's cool, though I was never really into cop shows. I didn't know Stringer Bell is also British-ish in real life, as well as McNullty and Carcetti (the guy from Game of Thrones).

I've been eating healthier I guess. I always wanted to eat more vegetables, and while researching nutrition to help my dad's health, it's kinda helping me too. I had some red bell peppers, spinach, tomatoes with lemon squeezed on top and some no-salt onion-parsley-oregano+ spices on top, with some bread and cheese. Not even oil. And it was delicious! I thought of Ben B. at Vegas jam when he offered me some raw spinach from a bag, and I had never seen that before, and also his video about red bell peppers.
I'm sorta still confused about nutrition; got more to learn.

It's *foot*bag, but to me, hands, arms, upper body, posture are very important to style. Some players can do some awesome shit, but if their upper body is weird, it takes away a lot.
Style is key.

Goin to Montreal, Saturday. Woot
Hopefully some nice 2-square with MGM, Ianek, KOLO??, seb, marc. Some of the best in the west, hmm beasts in the east.

Hey I'm on season 2 of the wire! Omar and Bubbles are the shiz.

Also, that freestyle trampoline video was awesome! I wonder if he had any unsuccessful attempts at that catapult-seesaw-50-feet-in-the-air thinger. That would hurt.

Also also, I feel ya on the lack of footbag and fellow footbaggers situation. Winter's always slow though. Hopeuflly spring brings warmer weather!

Had a dream where a friend was drinking Kern's juice, and someone else said "Dude, Doug Tank's going to be so pissed!"

edit: forgot to mention that this was after me and my friend had killed a bunch of bad guys and needed to quench our thirst

Played Phase 10 with Mathieu GM + Michel yesterday. Got a sneak peek at today's xmas calendar video. I thought Yves Kreil was Nick Landes at first.

Had some banana pancakes and watched Charlie Brown in french with Hania today.

edit: hi doug and kevin :-)

I just checked out fourkast and watched Vasek 100 bars, and thought about how freestyle would have progressed if Vasek never got into footbag. Alternate reality timeline. Would there be another top player to inspire, would Ryan still dominate for years? Would the level have increased as much as it has?

My best guess? I think Ryan would have stuck around for a few more years at a minimum. After losing in 02, he made the effort to show up at 03. And he turned up at a CSS a couple years later (CSS5?) and was playing well. So if Vasek never came up, I'd guess Ryan would have easily won in 02 and 03, and probably 04 too. Hard to say really, but I'd have bet money on those results. As for non-competitive impact, I think the emphasis on being bothsided would have still occurred, it just would have come about a lot more slowly.

Hey there old Modified, old chap. I don't check you every day anymore.
My back is better now. Tim, Fletch! and I played a few days ago, and Tim and I have been playing in his apartment which is not on the first floor but no one has complained yet. There're these old school spikes that fasten the wood floors down, and one or two were popping out, possibly causing my luxurious black mesh lavers to rip, but tim's mean roommate fixed it like a champ, cuz he had some tools.

I played pretty fucking tits last time, well no, it was like a limp dick compared to how I would normally play, not luscious whipped cream covered, chocolate syrup splattered tittays. But it felt good to be able to play, and use both clippers, and not just tiltless - which is the shit I've been doing since my back wanted to be a bitch. Back feels good now, I need to stay active it seems to keep it in check.

I think we will play tomorrow. Oh shit March is almost here - which means Sprang!

Was just in Grand Rapids, MI for a day and had an amazing time with Brandon, Brandon, Mike, and the girls.

Brandon and Mike are so into footbag, they play 5 hours a day, shins hurt, then play again later in the day. Talking about moves, and trying new stuff. Was pretty awesome. Brandon T. is super smooth now.

We were at a festival and freestyled pretty good, then started a four square and got locals, young and old, involved. I put a pic on fcb. Lot of people joined us; It was pretty, pretty big.

Then starving, natch, ate junkyard dogs at 'the dog pit.'
Went to meijer, and got some luscious Bounty chocolate bars,
then geocached, check GR.

At night, we went to a foam party and played/danced in foam, and chicks were in bikinis rubbin all up ons and kissing each other.

It was really fun.

Sounds like a pretty epic day! What's in a junkyard dog?

We should get some foursquare in at USO. I haven't played with good people in ages.

Tim played like a goddam champion yesterday.

Reid joined our regularly scheduled twosome for the third time in the past few weeks which is sweet..

A minivan intentionally crashed into a taxi (with customers inside), and then the taxi chased the minivan, with the people still inside.

Trannies congregate around that area we played in, at night, under the train lights, with our music playing, they're titties and booties poppin out. There was a whole bunch of interesting and sketchy people around us and the two guys that joined our circle.

The first guy, from michigan, can do some stalls and is super excited, unfortunately he's moving back in a few days.
The other guy looks like Booger from Revenge of the nerds. He's short, got a big head, a beard, and a 2 year old gunshot wound in his leg, and he laughs awesomely.
