Had an Über manly christmas. Got a cast iron skillet and pan fried a turkey heart in scotch.
After cooking the rest of the turkey, i tore all of the meat off the bones with my bare hands... knives are for pussies

Re: Tony Montaña
Started doing planks, pushups, and pullups twice a day yesterday. Also did about an hour of cardio today. Time to get into shape. Hopefully this time it lasts more than a month. Just need to keep focused on my goal. It's strange, in high school I could do over 20 pullups and had absolutely no muscle. Now i get excited about 9. Maybe it's the fact that I weigh 30 lbs more than I did back then.
Been playing a shit load of pool. I can see noticeable improvements. Last week went on a 6 game streak, then felt mentally exhausted and lost a few. Went on a 4 game streak friday. One of them was the best shooting i've ever done. sunk 4 shots i've never been able to do before in that same game. About to go shoot some more for free downtown.
Played footbag with jere the other day. was hitting rubberman which used to be easy for me, but haven't been able to do in probably a year or so. Did lots of shuffle. Thought of a trick i've never seen which is fun... just fairy ss symple butter. Also had fun with vortex>bubba beater outside.

Pool games: went on a 4 game winning streak against my friend that always beats me in pool. I think i've only beat him once legitimately in the last few years, without him scratching. felt good.

I should start doing workouts aswell! I still think I can do over 20 pullups though.

Re: Tony Montaña
Went snowshoeing both saturday and sunday. Each time, my hair was frozen solid with ice sweat when I was at the top. Had to run down the mountain to melt it. May go for a jog tonight, but there's lots of snow and it's going to be about 5 degrees F out. If my plan comes into fruition of running everyday, I'll have run about 1800 miles by 2014.
Was reading Erik Chan's blog about the quantum eggs. Started thinking about how i've hit frantic egg barefoot, but never quantum egg. lol.

Re: Tony Montaña
It's about time for a serious post, cause I need some catharsis. After my mom passed, I moved back home with my dad. I thought I would help take care of him, but didn't realize how much he took care of me as well. My dad left town for the night and it's the first time i've had the house to myself. Started thinking about my mom a lot. Hung out where she died in my arms. been drinking all day. cried a lot. extremely sad. just needed to get that out I guess. It's weird saying it on the internet, but all of my sisters are asleep by now and I have a hard time opening up to them. Thanks modified. Here's to you <raises glass>

Re: Tony Montaña
Thanks Asmus, Nathan, and Ken.
Just had an awesome 3 hour session with Jere. Running, and doing planks/pushups/pullups everyday has helped out a lot. My form felt great. Jere said that my ripwalks looked like vasek which was awesome to hear.
Hit a lot of fun things. The core workouts made it feel like i've been playing every other day instead of it being my second session of the year. Even after slamming 3 homebrews before the session and drinking 3 more ranger ipa's during. One of my first strings, i was trying drifter>tomahawk midstring but my body did drifter>ducking swirl>spinning clip midstring instead. Missed the set on my first 2 janiwalkers so said fuck it, and tried barraging ducking which hit my collar bone first try. Scorps tail bsos first try. mobius bsos first try. gyro illusion bsos first try. gyro dlo's first try. drifter>spinning egg>string first try. Gyro butter>gyro dlo to start a string felt awesome. ummmmmm, gyro rev whirl>blender>string was a fun rewind. Came close to big apple sauce first try (spinning pdx miraging opp symp torque)... didn't come close after that. lots of tiltless to the beat. bubba beater>near rev swirling toe>string first try. barfry bsos. pixie opp blender>step far legover>string. was an awesome session. oh yeah, Jere challenged me to pdx blender>maelstrom which I couldn't do, so i tried step ss blender>maelstrom and came close.
edit: started a string with dada curve>jani which felt cool
Jere was shredding hard as well. Almost got bsos pixie ss drifter. was nailing blenders and swirls. i think he almost got a run with bsos assassin and bsos pixie diving mirage.

I like your beer-drinking-while-shredding style. We need to that together in a not so distant future.
And nice highlights, you are good, you need to make a vid soon!

Re: Tony Montaña
Looked back through the blog to see when the last time I kicked was. It's been a little over 3 weeks. That'll change this weekend.
Been reading a lot of comics again. Just finished the 100 Bullets series.
Playing Dead Space 3. Stuck at a part where all i have to do is press W repeatedly and quickly. This aspect of games always kicks my ass. It's so easy but i just can't do it.
Running, going 30 days without beer which started yesterday.
Have a 2nd date tonight.
Playing shit tons of pool.
Getting carpeting next week. I haven't had a bedroom since november (have had to wait til the carpeting is put in) so that will be nice.
Downsized all of my belongings to fit into 2 large boxes (excluding furniture).
That's about it as far as updates. down double down>gyro illusion>would be tight

We finally got carpet in my family's basement a year after it flooded which means I have my camera again (was boxed up). Videos coming soon. Lots of bops cuz I don't play much.
Also the First time I've slept in my own bed since June. Very excited. Been sleeping on the floor or the guest room with my camping quilt. Got dumped in November but my awesome single mattress has been in storage since then. Miss her queen tho

Re: Tony Montaña
Went for a 1.5 mile run, put away some laundry, and had an hour long solo footbag session. First session in a month. I filmed it because I found my camera but apparently my its too old for windows 7 which sucks. It doesn't support usb streaming. i had an awesome session... well sort of. My form was crap and my endurance sucked but tried some tricks for shits and giggles
ducking barfly bs first try,
alpine scorps bs (almost bsos too),
gyro diving ddd almost bsos,
alpine dimmiest bs,
diving ddd bs
some interesting tricks i never see (sympsium pickup... more like symp quantum ss toe, toe muted far swirl>far rev swirling osis, toe drifter rake bs, a few solid uptime rev whirling sets, toe kick>ducking toe kick>ducking toe kick, really close to spinning revup a few times, fun attempts at fairy gyro whirl but they were definitely the).
edit: I guess my camera can be fixed but I don't understand what any of this means:
"To get your video onto your computer you need to use Firewire, all drivers needed are part of windows OS.
Check to see if you have a firewire port on your computer through device manager you are looking for a device called IEEE1394 (same as firewire) if its there you need a cable, normally a 4 to 6 pin firewire cable, if its not then you need a card and cable bot can be brought from Amazon.com for around 10-20$
putting thecard into your computer is simple all you need to do is find a spare PCI slot and put the card in, (making sure the computer is off) turn the computer on and windows will set it all up for you, connect the cable to your computer and to your camera turn the camera to play again windows will set it all up for you.
Open your editing software and go to capture, you will be able to control the camera from the computer. and off you go, if you are using Windows movie maker only capture as a DV-AVI as this will be the best quality. on the down side the files are large, 60 minutes are around 13GB"

Firewire is an updated and faster version of USB. You can buy a firewire cable in all electronic stores.

Been getting in shape. hiked 10 miles on monday, 10 miles on tuesday, 5 miles yesterday, and did 2 hours of footbag today. Some fun stuff was blender>step ss whirl and drilling basics to get back into the groove
Heres a pic from one of the hikes:
