HOW-TO Subscribe???

Am I blind? I do not see the "subscribe to topic" link on any threads.

I know that I can subscribe when I post, but what if I just want to subscribe without posting on a thread?

Also, I did check the FAQ, and the instructions there are quite vague.....

"click the “Subscribe topic” link within the topic itself"
