Yesterday, I kicked with Ben for a short while, working on my toe stalls/magic hop mostly.

Today, there was a session. It's also homecoming week at school, so there were some festivities nearby, playing music and the such. We started kicking near a wing-eating contest. There was Ben, Derek, Kat, Khoa, Greg, Ivan, and I kicking today. We did this weird thing of all of us being in the circle with two bags at opposite ends. IT WAS WEIRD. Then we eventually split off into two groups. I didn't really do much today, mostly the usual, except I've been trying to work on the magic hop more. As well as legover, insides, and clipper. But I sucked today. No one else say otherwise. I sucked. But it's okay, I'll do better some other time. I'm trying to work on tricks for MC's Online Competition also, which you'll see if I could hit these tricks well, and on film. We'll see.... We'll see....

NEVER say that you suck April. You are not. You are improving fast.
I would advise that you should work a little more on Mirages and Legovers (which you already are working on). That, and with your ATW improving like they are, you'll be able to land long strings very well. I can see you pull off 20 tricks strings with ATW - mirage - legover in the near future.
An advice on that trick you're trying to hit for Matt's comp (which I will not spoil): work on Legovers and Illusion. The 2nd one is to give you an edge of time so that you'll be able to pull the trick out with time to spare.

Khoa: Haha thank you very much Khoa! :D You're always so encouraging and enthusiastic about footbag :)

Today (technically yesterday now, but use 'today' as that reference to 'technically yesterday'), we kicked at the squash courts because of homecoming week/end and the rain. Jon 'Outsider' Schneider was our special guest, which was awesome. Also, to mention, I was half an hour late because I was napping... When I got there, Ryan, Ivan, Khoa, Ben, and Jon were already there. I warmed up for about half an hour, outside of the circle. Then I started practicing the basics/usual. When I eventually joined the circle, I worked on legover mostly, and then later on, I worked on mirage. I hit legover bsos a couple times, and I also hit mirage ss a couple times, and Ivan said that the first mirage I hit today was the best he's seen me hit yet, which was cool. I feel like I'm just about almost got/understand mirage now :D Yay! Kat and Marc showed up later on also (by this time we had split into two circles).

I believe we are also having another session later today (and now I actually mean later today). I shall be working on legover and mirage and hopefully I will be good enough to film for MC's online competition. Also, I've been meaning to film for Nick Landes, but I've felt like I could do better and I need more practice (for the past... 2-3 weeks now, plus my legs have been hurting), so hopefully soon I will be able to follow through with consistency and what-have-you.

Anywho, after the session, we went to eat at Penn Kebab/Big Bowl. Then we headed to the Shredhaus. On the way, Kat and I got ice cream, while Jon, Ben, and Marc went to a bottle shop I believe. Eventually, we watched UP. Good movie. We found out that Jon Schneider hadn't watched Finding Nemo before (and maybe some other movies?), which led to some uproar.

Yesterday, I was really tired, but kicked for a bit. I don't really remember what I did, but it seemed to be a lot of people who showed up (Kat, Lauren, Greg, Ivan, Ryan, Marc, Khoa, Ben, Jon).

Today, I was also pretty tired, but kicked for a bit. I tried legover/mirage/clipper. Jon gave me some tips on inside kicks and stretches for hip flexor (thanks Jon!).

Aaaaand yeah. Until next time! Hopefully I will be less tired, more energetic, and better!

Kicked for a bit yesterday. There were a lot of new people! By that, I mean two-three. But still! Wow! Let's see... Ivan, Ryan, Marc (who showed up late >:P ), Ben, Khoa, Lauren, Kat, Brad (Lauren's friend!), Matt (Kat's boyfriend!), and Nick (he's Greg's friend, but I also met him at Philosophy club). ... I think that's all... sorry if I forgot anyone...
Anywho, I mostly practiced insides, mirage, and legover, and a little bit of clippers. My legs were pretty beat though.

Another Nick? Hmmm... I'll let is slide :P

Awesome there were 3 new people! That's so sick! Do anything you can do to make them stick with it! This sport really needs new players popping up.

Can't wait to meet them and see all of you guys again soon! Nov 1-3. BE READY! :D

PS. Have you been keeping up with that clipper drill I gave you?

Nick: I think he met you before, he's a friend of Greg's from high school.

And yeah! I think at least one of them will be easy :D The other two... I don't know. The other Nick seems to have other prior obligations (or what-have-you - had tennis rackets), and Matt is up to Kat. Brad (the one that I think very might stick) seems cool! He's TALL! (6' 6'') I think I hear he has lavers? ;D

YAY! Shred-O-Ween! *drops everything to eat, speak, breath kick for that weekend*

And sadly, no. (Will talk about further whence talking about the session that was, now, yesterday)

So, yesterday there was a session that started at 2:30. That'd be three sessions in a row, wowwee! I didn't make it to the Saturday session though >.< forgive me
Ben, Khoa, and I were there first. Then, Ivan, Ryan, and Marc showed up. Then Kat showed up. I was mostly working on insides and clippers. I also tried to work on toe stalls and the magic hop, and a little little bit of legover/mirage. Most of the time that I was working on clippers, I was working alongside Ivan while he drilled osis. I realized that I wasn't that stoked about practicing clippers because I suck(ed) at it. Ivan gave me a lot of good tips, which I appreciate (thanks Ivan), and hopefully I'll be able to drill clippers (better/more, with more enthusiasm).
I think I just needed a reminder and a fresh view on clippers to really want to practice them to get better. :D Or something like that.

Anywho. PSU SHRED-O-WEEN! (Nick, you come up with some of the best footbag-related names)
You'd be crazy not to go!

I agree, I like the new title. I just like the idea of unusual Phaser settings!

It reminds me of a line from a song --- "You may set your charm on stun / and say I'm delightful and fun / but you say that everyone..."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BiuM_x34AM

In that example, its not a weird phaser setting, but its the notion of having standard phaser settings for something other than a phaser, like having a dial-up setting for one's charisma... What would happen if you set your charm on "kill" ?!?...

Marc: Thaaaaanks

Jon: Thanks! I got it from the show Community (which I will post the link to below).

First off:
Now, session today! Yeah! When I got there, there were already six people! (I blame the bus for being squishy and a bit slow). But yeah, Khoa, Ivan, Ben, Derek, George, and Lauren were there when I arrived. Ryan eventually came as did Aidan. We split into two groups, and slowly people had to go, one by one...
Anywho, I mostly worked on insides and legovers today. It was a workout... I also worked a bit of ATW/orbit (I feel bad for neglecting them for the past couple weeks), and I also worked on a bit of mirage. Then after pretty much everyone had left except me and Ryan, I worked on a bit of clippers.
Nothing that interesting... *sigh*

Also, SPEAKING OF THE PSU PUMPKIN JAM. :D Costumes! And kick! And awesome people! YEAH! It'll be a real good time. I can't wait!

Nick: Yeah! He's funny. I don't think I really like his rapping much, but I like this one song by him (Heartbeat).

Haven't really kicked in a while (even if it's less than a week). I guess it was a break-time. My hip flexor seems to be doing better. In recent events, there was an impromptu session today called forth by Aidan (that's cool! he should start a footblog soon huh!). Ivan, Ryan, Khoa, Aidan, Kat, and Ben were there.

I seemed to have gotten better at legover. I tried inside>legover for the first time, and got it :D
There was also a short-term "sock" group, where since Kat forgot her lavers, she and Ivan kicked for a bit in just socks. I tried for a round for fun.
I also practiced mirage for a bit, and insides. I thought I was confident enough in my ss mirage to attempt ws, but it was pretty sad (to me at least). My leg is awkward. :( Oh well. Practice makes perfect! I will continue trying weak side, and hope it gets less awkward.

Anywho. GUESS WHAT. PUMPKIN JAM IS THIS WEEKEND AND SO MANY COOL PEOPLE ARE COMING AND I'M VERY EXCITED. WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE MY COSTUMES. (YES. They are footbag-related :D )

Don't worry about SS mirage - it will show up eventually. I could not hit that trick for the first few months I was kicking, and still don't really like it. Your legovers (and game in general) was looking really nice and crisp today - guess that break did wonders for you. Keep kicking - I see you hitting some cool tricks a little bit down the line. Here is a challenge for you:

far inside > ss clipper rpt. I can definitely see you hitting that in the next session or two!

Ivan mentions a good drill. Yes. Do.

Don't sweat it, my legs is awkward too :P Use your awkward legs to hit Doofs lol

I can definitely help you out with near mirages this weekend.

Ivan: Thanks! I tried it today and got it once. I really need to work on my sets from insides and clippers though... But I will definitely continue trying it and working on it.

Nick: Yeah! I'm sure it is!
Doof - eventually, yes, yes.
Sounds good! I hear there are a few ways to do them.
YEAH! PUMPKIN JAMJAM!

Anywho, kicked today, WITH NATE! That was cool. Except, that... I didn't really kick with Nate... But HE WAS THERE. I'm pretty sure everyone BUT me got to kick with him. He left earlier than I expected and so, I didn't get to kick with him today, though I'm not bummed out because he'll still be here at least for the weekend, eh? And so, I think I'll be able to kick with him in the near future!
There were people there! Except, not as many as I had hoped. There was Khoa, Sean, Derek, Aidan, Ivan, Ryan, Ben, Greg, Nate, and me.
We started off at the squash courts but then moved to IST.

I worked on the usual, legover, mirage, insides, clipper, toes, and ATW. I got legover bsos, which was good. My strong-side legover (dexing with my left leg) is looking prettty consistent which I'm proud of. I'm also getting better at my strong-side mirage. Also proud of. Then I feel like I've been neglecting ATW/Orbit, and so tried ATW>legover and got that once or twice.
I realized that my ATW>Legover links are weak-side>weak-side, strong-side>strong-side which I found interesting...

I'd also like to say that I realized today that I enjoy everyone :D Everyone contributes to different things, and I appreciate that. And what I mean by contribute is by feedback, and reactions and what-have-you. It helps me work on different parts (for example, legover - Ivan, clipper - Greg, ATW>legover - Khoa, etc.).
Ben helps me out with a bit of everything plus random (not-so-random) info for future references, which is great :D Although I probably will need reminding for when I actually try such tricks (ex: osis, calf roll, weird stuff, etc.)

THEN. TWO DAYS. PUMPKIN JAM. JAMJAMJAM.

And yes, there are actually 3 ways to do them.. the first way doesn't hurt, the second way hurts, and the third way really hurts. First way is your best bet. I'm pretty good at doing them the third way.

Nick: Yeah! To both! :D
Ben showed me 3 different ways, but I wasn't sure if there were more. I didn't think that they hurt o.o Whoa.

So, this past weekend was PSU Pumpkin Jam. And I know it's been a while for me to post about it, but I've been unmotivated. Not necessarily about footbag, but about life. (Oooh... that took a dark turn). But I don't mean it that way. I just mean that school's been a real pain in the rear end/has been stressing me out lately, or something like that.
Anywho, Nick, Nadiah, and Mike Toolan got to PSU Friday night. Matt Kemmer got here Saturday.

Friday Night: Kick! It was a late evening/night session. There was Nate, Ivan, Ben, Ryan, Marc, Sean, Lauren, Kat, Khoa, Derek, Nick, Nadiah, Toolan, and me. George stopped by for a bit with his girlfriend. It was a lot of fun. I dressed up as a fairy, but my dress was getting in the way, so I had to change. Nate wore the fairy wings for a bit and did some sweet tricks. He even did ducking with them! Which was impressive, since they were partially in the way, but he made it work. :)

After kick, about half of us hung out at shredhaus, and it was fun. On the way to shredhaus, Ben and I went with Toolan to find a place for his car. Mike also let me have a banana which was awesome. Thaaaanks Mike! We found out that you couldn't really park near shredhaus so we went searching for a spot. There was a drunk girl with her group of friends who walked in front of the car with the nerve to hold out her hand and go: "Stop." That was annoying. We should've scared her somehow...

At Shredhaus, Ryan had made chili and it seemed that everyone had taken their portion (Ben, Toolan, and I) were the last ones there, pretty late. Stuff happened, but I don't really remember all the details. We played Cards Against Humanity! That was fun.
Also, pumpkin jam!

Marc: White Privilege + Hurricane Katrina = Natural Selection (___ + ___ = ___ card)

Saturday: Ben and I met up with the rest of the gang at The Diner. Hot chocolate there, delicious. Like a secret menu item or something because it wasn't on the menu. But it was deliciousssss. I got food. Other people got food, but I'm not gonna go into it because I don't remember what I got, but I remember that most of the group got ultra macs because there were so many, but I digress. Matt Kemmer got there as we were finishing up. Then... we went to kick? Perhaps. Well, actually, I think some of us went some way, and others went another. But we all ended up meeting to kick again.

Costumes! Nadiah was Red Ribbon/Flapper, I was a Dragon (baby dragon, I suppose) - it was a toddler sized costume :3 , Nick was Atomsmasher (Adam...smasher?). Nadiah sums up what I pretty much did during this session in her blog. :) 'Twas fun. Inch worm. *sigh*
But it was a fun day of being silly. I also got to take some pictures because Greg was there and brought a camera, and I took pictures because I like taking pictures. I tried getting a picture of everyone picking up the bag. Also, of random things that people do. And them doing tricks.
Mike shared some oats/granola. Thanks again! Butt sweat?

Uhh.... Don't really remember what else.... Dinner at Big Bowl for some of us? Yeah... That was good. Food.

More hang out at shredhaus. I left early because I wasn't feeling well, which sucked because it seemed like everyone had fun afterwards, and there was pumpkin muffins that everyone got to eat and stuff (which I got to try one later, but still!).

Sunday: More kick. Ben and I ate at Webster's. Everyone else I think got Dunkin' Donuts. Matt left early-ish (around 4). The rest of us had Penn Kebab/Big Bowl.

All in all, it was a fun mini-jam. All guests had M and N names. Laughs were had. Sweat was shed. Memories were made.

I can't wait for PSU Jamps in April (I keep getting misled because people say this, and I'm like: my name is April but you are not referring to me).

I don't really have highlights, sorry. I have been practicing the same ole, same ole. (Basics). Have been getting better at Legover and Mirage though. Kind of. I think same for Clipper. Which is good. But I guess I should put down goals, which I shall have soon, again.

For now, I bid adieu and hope I get more motivation and more awaked-ness or something of that sort. (It's not necessarily a lack of motivation for footbag, but something...).

BEN: YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ IT!!!!!
If you did, you would already know what cums out of it.

Anywhom, kick yesterday! At Kutztown. University.
Michael Toolan gave me and Benjamin a ride right from the source. We had fun in the car. Talking. Nonsense. Coffee. Eggs Benedict.
He passed the Rec Center, then we had to walk in the cold. Mehhh. We arrived there about half an hour earlier than the others but half an hour later than the set time.
I met Jackson and Corey G. there!
We kicked. It was fun.
Nick P., Ivan, and Ryan were also there.
We had food at Betty's afterwards. Burritos. Yum. And cupcake.

Haven't been posting in a while because I suck. :(
But hope to post more in recenter times.
