Let it be known that today I made a bet with Marc that I would hit Torque within a month (so by February 27) for $10.
I will do it.
I will do it.

I'm pulling for you with the Torque bet! It was fun kicking with you this weekend. Everyone was bummed that you were absent from Sunday's session, especially Nadiah. Keep messing with those Pixie sets and the Swirls. Both are coming to you soon. And I think you can get Torque soon. Just work on Mirages and Far Symp Osis (ask Ben, Ivan, or Marc to show you Far Symp Osis if you don't know what I mean). Looking forward to Jamps!
Re: Set Phasers To Love Me! [April's Footblog (PSU)]
ew. I will add 5 dollars to that bet as incentive.

I will just say now, that I tried posting before and the internet/connection muffed up, so this post will not be as good, but perhaps, shorter and simpler.
Nick: Thanks! JAMPS! YAY! (That's practically what I said before). Also, sorry for not Sunday. I slept in because lack of sleep.
Ivan: Thanks...? xD I'm trying my best!
Anywho, I've been to a couple sessions thus far, but now I am sick, so.... Yeah... Resting up now.
I've been working on certain things rather than others, like Torque over Swirl because of bet. There'll be time for both in the future also. Butterfly! Osis! Legover! Mirage! etc. And uhhh yeah.....
Links I've been working on (thanks to Ivan again): Butterfly>near Toe, ss Butterfly > far Toe
I want to try Osis>Osis next session I go to! It's decided!

Since you've made that bet about torque, I've been thinking about joining you and hitting it by the end of February.

Paul: Sorry for the recent injury, but I'm happy that I had inspired you (to some extent).
I kicked yesterday and figured that I won't be hitting Torque within the month, but I will continue to try. (Maybe I'll at least hit it before Marc, which is good enough for me). I hit Butterfly BSOS for the first time though, which was cool. Now, I just need to try Infinity.
Also, I hadn't kicked in a week before yesterday (due to illness), and found that my Osis needs work (to get back into the groove). As well as basics and all that... I need to kick more. I hope I get better soon (just a cough, but still). Also, I hope that I have more time and energy to kick because I have missed it.

Nick: Thank you, thank you.
Had my BEST session, yet again. There were a lot of people too! Valentine's Day kick!
There was Nate, Khoa, Ryan, Ivan, Marc, Kat, Aidan, Aidan's brother Brendan (not sure if I spelled that right), Ben, and me. I took a lot of breaks, but I kicked my best yet, I believe, focusing on certain things that I wanted to hit (later in the session).
Highlights!
Inside>Muted Clipper bs
Strong-Side Butterfly>Osis
Guay BSOS
Osis>Osis!!
Strong-Side Swirl!!!
Yay! Excitement! Also excited for PSU Jamps! YAY! YAYYYY! Come one, come all! (please!)

Re: Set Phasers To Love Me! [April's Footblog (PSU)]
Yesterday (day after Valentine's Day), I had another session, but everyone else was busy that it was only Ben and me.
Ben helped me with some things, like trying to hit Clipper>ss Clipper amongst other things.
I practiced my Osis (from both sides), trying Osis>Osis>Osis, but only getting Osis>Osis.
I hit Clipper>ss Clipper bs.
I also hit Legover x5. Very excited about that.
I also hit Clipper>op Clipper (starting on my other side).
And that's pretty much it. Then we went to Shredhaus to hang out
Today, Ben and I met up with Ivan and Ryan to film a bit for the PSU Jamps trailer. That was fun. And cold. Tune in for when the trailer is finished! (Ivan's making it, and the prize bag is awesome)

Ivan: No problem! It definitely was worth it!
So, I kicked yesterday and today. Today a lot of people came! Which was cool. Practically the whole club.
I've mostly been working on my Insides, Clippers, Legovers, and Osis.
I'm hoping I get good enough in time for Jamps!
It looks like there is the possibility of a good turn out, so I'm hoping for the best.

Re: Set Phasers To Love Me! [April's Footblog (PSU)]
I kicked outside today. It was cold and windy, but not snowy or raining. It wasn't that bad.
We kicked outside Old Main. Nathan, Benjamin, Kat, Marc, Khoa, and me.
I've been working on my Legovers and Osis. I got at least 3 Osis>Osis today. I also worked on keeping the fat squirrel away. Trying to steal our food and footbags.
I discussed a going-away party (karaoke!) for Nate. He also wishes to kick on the following Friday (karaoke being Thursday).
Later on, I talked to Ben about what I should perhaps work on, and we came up with a list of things I can drill. I am happy with kick and wish to kick more. I enjoy drill sessions with (a small group of) people, though I also enjoy generally kicking with people.
PSU Jamps is coming up!

The unexpected squirrel comment made me think of this:bluevampire101 wrote: I've been working on my Legovers and Osis. I got at least 3 Osis>Osis today. I also worked on keeping the fat squirrel away. Trying to steal our food and footbags.

Ken: *rolls around in excitement of THE Ken Somolinos/C-Fan/Ceiling Fan commenting on my blog*
Yay for randomness/unexpectedness!
Anywho, there was a session Friday night for Nate's going-away session/party. A lot of people showed up!
I won't say who because that would make a list longer than this sentence.
I don't remember what I was doing, but I was kicking. I remember a couple of groups (3 circles) going on, and kicked with everyone. I probably just worked on basics, but at one point, I tried whirl (a couple attempts).
At the end of the session, I talked to Nate about footbag-related topics: weird tricks (tricks that I might be able to do, but perhaps no one else that I can name eventually), stitching, etc. etc.
Today, I went to Shredhaus and worked on my bag (almost done!). Then, Ivan, Ryan, and I went to kick. Khoa also showed up.
I worked mostly on Osis, with the casual Legover, Pickup, Mirage, and Butterfly.
Overall, I don't have much exciting news in terms of amazing progress (aka a new trick or a cool link), though I did BSOS Legover and Pickup and then dropped after an Osis.

I think you are being incredibly modest when you say that. Your style was always very in control and form was perfect, but now you seemed to develop some impressive consistency. I'm not just saying this to be nice, you surprised me today with some of your strings. The longer you go, the more chances you have at tricks before passing the bag. It's a strategy I use a lot. I say start doing more mirages. That quick switch will be a catalyst in your game.

Ivan: Thank you very much!
It's nice to hear those kind of words of encouragement once in a while (and I know you said that you're not just saying it to be nice, but it is still nice). I will definitely try to do more mirages.
On Tuesday I finished my first ever 32-panel thanks to Ivan! Will post picture here sooner or later. I enjoy it.
Today I kicked a bit with Ben. Moreso, drilling/working on things. I worked mostly on Outsides, Dragons, Doofs, as well as Osis, and a couple attempts at Drifter (ss).
Something that Ben helped set up for me was:
Clipper>Outside>(drag) Dragon>(drag) Doof
So, it's a clipper to the near Outside stall, drag foot to the Dragon position, wrap around to Doof, then go backwards from there (drag back to Dragon, drag back to Outside set to Clipper).
'Twas fun. I enjoy the stuff. I'm not sure if other people can perhaps do the same? It's a way to get to Doof! (breakthrough?!)

Awesomesauce today! You impressed the socks off of my feet with your closeness to drifter. I think you should mirage more.
Your ankles are gross. Your comfort with dragons rivals that of Vasek's clippers. I really like the wrappy wrappy drill. Keep doing it.

Ben: Yay!
Nick: Yay!
Kicked once over break as Ben says in his blog. Kicked today with Ivan, Greg, and Aidan, and Benjamin.
I almost hit drifter today... Soon... Before Jamps. Before Marc.
I need some brushing up on kicking. But, since I've last posted, I've been stitching some bags! Yay! Cool! Woohoo! (more exclamations!)
I also cannot wait for Jamps! Lots of people are going! As of now, at least 28 I believe. Canada vs. NYFA; Michigan vs. PSU practically. French Toast Crunch! I'm going to make Apple Streusel Bars! There's gonna be awesome prizes! Ivan offered me the opportunity to make bags as 2nd place prizes - cool cool cool. Awesome shirts! Fun times are waiting!
...Hype!
