Dude our texts got so confused today hahaha

You said "I wanna see Alpine Sumo" then snuck in "Peep my blog, I hit some stuff inspired by you" I only read the first one and replied "Eventually.. maybe" :P And I thought you were telling me to hit those combos you hit and I was thinking "Jesus no, those are so hard" lol But turns out you hit the hard stuff! haha so sick dude. Sorry, I'm a little slow after looking at numbers and letters all day :/ But yeah man, DIG. IT. Props on all o dat. Skull> WS is nuts. Salted, honey roasted nuts. Awesome highlights boss.

Great to hear Pete is doing better!

And I'm down for a meet up at PSU in early May!

Miss you, brotha.

well Nick come up to boston and see the uncluded with me ya turkey! free crash space/my face n dexes/shorteez/margaritas and phat tunes! gonna be dope as fuck you better come out...and if not i'll cya in a little over a month.

Few cool things since last post. I have a shred buddy now, Bob Green (of mid western fame) and we've been having weekly sessions for about a month now. He's improved a good amount and hit a bunch of new stuff which has been cool. He's tiltless and already into it and i've been enjoying our seshes. Trying to be less hard on myself and enjoy playing more and stop complaining which has been going ok, I know once my new shoes come I'll have less bullshit drops.

Missing every cool event going down this month which sucks but going further as a human being is more important to me then going further as a footbagger. My boss said it meant alot that he can count on me to hold shit down at the shop so I cant let him down being mad tired from travel hackin'. I think overall this month is going to be great in terms of learning new stuff, pushing myself to work harder and overall just be able to show my value more to my company, which is exciting...not as exciting as penske hitting quasi triple dexes, Ivan inventing all types of smoke inhaling devices and mint chocolate chip smoothies in state college, but I need to take this opportunity by the balls. on paper, Penn state looks like its gonna be the jam to go to this year so I really hope it's as phat of a time as it has been in the past, all the luck and good vibes to that crew and same to Mark for NOLA jam, ill definitely miss the homies on those weekends for sure.

I think my only goal this year other then being able to stay consistent drilling (completing 3 programs a month on top of shredding is a good goal i think) is to really lock down double downs finally. sometimes i can hit blurriest b2b and then sometimes i the my paradons terribly. I don't fucking get it. to anyone whos good at double downs, how do you do your paradons? mid uptime or downtime?.anyways this goal is in place because I want to hit an undeniably clean nemesis, on the side i haven't done it yet on tape for ken's thread. i can totally do that by the end of the year just gotta conquer bitch ass double downs.

Lastly, heres some highlights, been a solid month, mostly been shredding instead of drilling but skoolin' all winter is paying off huge. Not gonna stray away from programs like in the past though, so hopefully drill sesh after work tomorrow.

-mobius and pdx both bsos same run
-ripped>stepping ss rake>run
-spin duck clip>pdx whirl bsos (both midrun ones were flip, spinning!)
-maelstrom bs...getting easier
-shuffle ending on smoke>dense seal with both psws and both pixie whirls. yeeeeeeh.
-bedwetter>ducking rake
-pdx torque>bw>ok run

meh, not a lot for a month but its mostly runs that I've been stoked on anyways. Really looking forward to pushing more and having fun.

peace
Kevin Hogan

All sick stuff man. The Mob sauce and Ptrq sauce is big shit. Awesome job on that and everything else.

Wish you were just bullshitting about not being able to go to PSU this year and then you showed up and surprised us… but I feel like you're dead ass on this one. Bummed, but hell, April 27th The Uncluded in Boston! So stoked it worked out as well as it did! It's gonna be a fun show and a really fun weekend, in general.. doing shit in Boston. Hell yeah. Too amped for this.

Thanks for "guying" me into driving down :P

I'll hit some Hogan-inspired combos for you at PSU, for sure. Seriously bummed you won't be there though. Oh well.. the Boston trip will make up for it!

Great goals too. I think you can pull off a clean Nemesis with some DD practice. Seriously looking forward to our duo session. That's gonna be a lot of fun.

Good luck holding down the fort for your boss this month.

Take care dude. See you sooner than later!

...Did I mention that I'm coming to Boston?!?!? :D :D :D :D :D :D

wrote a post but evidently modified logs you out if your idle for like 5 minutes. lame.

first sessions in new lavers:

-mobius>bw>run
-pdx torque>rip>rip>rpt
-pdx dlo>duck butter>rpt starting on bs, one sealed with both pdx eggs and a bunch of dense shuff
-atomic whirl>ripwalk>blur rpt (new sadly)
-pdx drif>spin duck osis bs
-spike hammer>dble pickup
-lots of fun simple guiltless drillsz like spin butter>far swirl rpt, spin pickup>drifter x2 rpt, fun stuff like that.

overall loving the new shoes. big stuff will be hit in these bad larrys.

gonna finish all the badges this week. i hate taking too long on design shit but swear im super busy doing other design shit at work :) but i'll sacrifice footbag time this week to finish those glady, especially cuz nick will be here next weekend. bummed i had to miss all the fun this month but overall been having a great time at work. nick being in town will be sick, its always cool having out of town shredders and just doing my thing as i would normally. gonna be a blast.

Same! I am also glad I popped in just in time to also see the next thing.

In other news, I think it would be cool to have a Boston jam-thing. I have never been to Boston.

Stuff soundsing good Kevin! In the future, we will kick together again! Perhaps on PSU turf, perhaps on Boston turf. :D Probably both if this is solely on the future that expands for forever.

says it all. homies for life. mind blowing that people will drive far to pretty much do what i do every weekend. awesomeness.thanks so much you guys.

me and nick made a vid. its on sauce it and youtube, peep them shitzzzz. part 2 (featuring fap k.) coming soon

played on saturday with bob green, who for the uninformed is the man. he's gotten about 10x more consistent since i first met him and was throwing down some 15+ and a few 20+ runs with good variety. whirl bs a lot which was rare for him too and he also hit tap for possibly the first time. i'm stoked i went from playing alone alot to having someone cool to play with regulary again. It's gonna suck cuz he's moving at then end of the summer but everyone in cali better make sure he still plays as bob is awesome.

i was playing well until both my knee and groin simultaneously both started hurting :/ all gucci, just a few more days off i guess.

i got:
-ducking pdx dlo bs (flips new)
-bw>pdx dlo good bsos
-new and first try bw>pdx egg bsos :!:
-step dive clip bsos ending on superfly :!: inspired by nick as i got these for him last weekend.
-alpine blurry whirl>pdx torque
-runs n stuff.

tits up.

awesome meeting you aswell Aaron! I really dug your portfolio. I used a process similar to the one we talked about while you were here on a logo I'm working on and I definitely felt feel much more creative/hit that design eye flow zone/ run dat type. good shit, thanks for coming out.

Played a bunch since the last post. I forget most of the stuff I've hit in the past month and a half but thats fine. shit has been kinda whack so footbag has been a good release. Still trying to kill it at work aswell, been laying out a pretty an ad booklet the past few days and it's been fun.

Played footbag 3 times since Saturday this week which is good. Bob & I kicked and we both played fine but mentally I was on a different planet, super spacey and hardly the funnest person to shred with/be around so my bad to bob, who i will reimburse with beer. Monday & today's shreds went much better. came in with a solid gameplan of working dlos, strings and vortex a little bit on monday which resulted in vortex bsos 3 separate times (twice with the flip midrun) and drifter>vortex>drifter>vorfuck a few times. I really wanna own vortex, gyro dlo and mobius by the end of the summer. some other stuff from monday (all the pdx dlo drills are new):

-parkwalk>pdx dlo>plo rpt
-tapdown>pdx dlo rpt
-fairy beater>sidewalk>pdx dlo rpt (same thing with dimwalk aswell)
-pdx dlo>atom>legbeater>rpt>tomahawk>ok run
-pdx drif>torque>drift rpt

i really wanna start working towards pdx drift>pdx dlo>atom>leg>rpt...shoulden't be too bad.

today was mostly just strings but both stepping and dlos felt off which is like 65% of my game  but I got pdx drift>gyro dlo both sides pretty quickly which felt good and some other ok stuff.

looking forward to hopefully playing more this summer...if golf doesn't replace footbag

I hope you own those Gyro tricks by summer's end. I would love to see more of those in your game, for sure. Knew some of this stuff from our texts, but others I'm equally impressed with. You have a leg up on a lot of stuff I would have a lot of trouble with like a ton of that Pdx DLO stuff. Great drills man. I think you should focus on Gyro tricks for a little while. I know you can get good at that stuff.

Can't wait to chill and shred again in the (hopefully) near future. I'm constantly having awesome flashbacks of my long weekend visit.

Hope everything is going well outside of footbag …and golf.. Yeah, I need at least one of your golfing buddies to start calling you "Bogey Beatz".

We got Yeoguyger Woods ovah here.

You gotta get a camera and film your game more often. I really enjoy your parts in the new video and I'd like to see more stuff from you. GoPro ;)
