Went to some park and kicked with anton today. Had a great session. I wasn't really playing at the top of my game, but it was still a lot of fun. I hit plo b2b for the first time, and Anton challenged me to hit toe whirl > whirl. I kept dropping the second whirl but at one point we had a small audience (two young kids and their dad on bikes) and Anton did a quick run and passed off to me and while i asked "toe whirl to whirl, right?" I hit it. Like as i was saying that. Felt greaaatt. The session was over all a good one. We just kept going, at least three or four times we sat down saying we were done and kept going anyway. He filmed so i should finally have some video soon.

Nice!

I used to drill Whirl every session by doing Toe Whirl>repeating whirl to 10 contacts or if I drop I would start with toe whirl again. I also Like Whirl>Infinity rpt.

Nice location! Looked like a fun sesh.

I was impressed. Nice solid tiltless stuff and good form. A little light on clipper stuff so I guess I'd like to see more of that. Can you hit Osis?

And Anton, nice spinning stuff! I'm jealous.

props :footbag:

I am ashamed of my flip clippers cass. I don't have a lot of good tricks that involve flip clip. So no osis for me :( i need to drill it hard. Nice, thanks for getting it up so quick, shoulda put more of your highlights up anton! Made it look like the whole session was me, i wasnt that big of a hog was i? :p so glad we got that double switch > clip > whirl. Came from a challenge by anton, double switch > toe whirl. Didnt quite get that but i was close. Still cool video, thanks anton!

You've been playing footbag for like 4 seconds and I've been involved for about one century and you're about to pass me, if you haven't already. Sheesh. =P

I know i posted this on the freestyle footbaggers page on facebook, but it didnt occur to me to post it on my blog: i hit my first four the other day! It was dimwalk, so nothing special, has a BOP component, but still. Pretty stoked.

Awesomesauce! Dimwalk is a sweet trick. Forget about the boppyness. Nemesis ends on a barfly which just adds a dex to an infinity. Last I checked, infinity is just far butter. Nemesis is a boppy trick?

So i was kicking casually today, didnt have my lavers, so i was limited and i really impressed myself. I hit b2b smear and magellan for the first time, hit smudge for the very first time, and completed the challenge nathan bonslaver from psu gave me which was ten consecutive flip clippers. My pixie is getting strong, and i really like that.

Just had an incredibly frustrating session. I really wanted to focus and drill my flipside. My flip Whirl came a long way. I almost always clear and foot it. However my flip Clipper is so weak, I can't do it. So I was drilling that for a while, and my Lavers never felt bouncier. I was also trying to land infinities. Strong side, no problem. Flip... NOPE OF COURSE NOT, BAG JUST WANTS TO FLY RIGHT OFF. After a while I cooled off on those and started trying ATW and orbit. My flip orbits are.. okay. Not the best but okay. My ATWs... I didn't know my legs were so big, or at least it felt like it. I kept knocking it off. I really wish that when I first started trying to learn tricks, before what I consider my real freestyle career, I understood the importance of both-sidedness. It feels so awful and frustrating to be able to hit eggbeater on my strongside, and fail ATW on my flip. I can hit it, don't get me wrong. just not consistently. I want my flip basics to be strong so I can hit eggbeater, mixer, and pixie on my flip.

So basically, Highlights:
Flip Whirl is improving
Strong Pixie is improving
Strong Swirl as actually starting to be a real trick, not just something i play around with

Lowlights:
Flip everything sucks
Flip Clipper sucks
Flip ATW sucks
Infinities suck
Legs are jelly

To those who think that they should dedicate a session completely to flip, all I have to say is let your will be strong.

I haven't posted anything in a while, been too busy to make real progress with my game :c but here's something I whipped together today in school. Thank god my school has photoshop

I am always thinking of goofy footbag puns (or really any puns) that I can do on photoshop, and I was sitting there in class, bored. So this came out. Any Resident Evil fans here? Idunno, I thought it was good.

Haha, sick.

I was thinking that a barely (if, at all) possible 10ADD trick would be barraging, gyro, ducking, symposium barfly swirl.
AKA backside gyro alpine nemesis swirl.
If I could ever get the chance to be the first to hit and name the trick (HAHAHAHAHHA YEAAHHH RIIIGHT,) I would name it after the leader of the Red Lantern Corp: ATROCITUS!

Today, after school, before work, decided to shoot for a little session. I totally threw my guiltless out and just drilled tiltless, going for that 25 tiltless milestone. And I totally got it. I'm sure I have once or twice before, I've just never counted. This time is the real deal. Wasn't my best run, but certainly not bad. Mostly both sided (I'd say 10 flip, 15 strong) but either way, I'm not gonna stop shooting for it. I decided to help my 3's, especially flipside, I'm gonna make my tiltless stronger.

On a different note, in French we got assigned skits we have to do. The premise is an interview with a famous person. I convinced my partner to let me be Klouda and have her interview me (then it turns into the whole "who? what is footbag? I've never heard of it? You mean football? Are you David Beckham?" joke, but still) so that's pretty cool.

I wish i had more for you nick, i really do, but i've been working more than usual, so between that, school, and finding time for my girlfriend, i haven't had much time to kick. I'm sure you (and so many others) have been there before. When i do its a short session, so im right back on that plateau. Ive mostly been drilling tiltless so i can hit my bigger tricks flip more consistently and confidently.
I really just want my strong pixe tricks to also be flip lol. It also doesnt help im trying to do flip catchup for almost all my threes at once (mixer, infinity, eggbeater, smear, smudge, magellan, plo, whirl, dimwalk) so ive bitten off a somewhat discouraging and intimidating amount. When im out of school in a couple weeks, i will be way freer.

congrats on the 25 tiltless. i'll bet you find out that your guiltless will be much better if you really hammer down your tiltless game. but i'm just a noob so what do i know. good job though!
