Greenwoods Footblog

Post by Slowsis »

Since i have now just finished high school, i thought i'd create a blog to document my new life of the shred!

As i am now only working part time, i have hours a day to give to footbag, and i need the input of all those who give a damn!

First of all where i am now....*means only one side :(
these are tricks that go into my combos...until the five adds!
2 adds
mirage
clipper
illusion
legover/pickup
atw
far legover/pickup
pixie/fairy

3 adds
butterfly
pdx mirage
swirl*
smear
ducking/diving clipper
terrage
barrage
whirl
osis
smudge
pixie clipper
pixie legover/pickup
stepping ss clipper
drifter*-damn onesidedness
dlo*
spinning clipper
inspinning clipper*

4 adds
dimwalk
ripwalk
blur...kinda bothsides...
ducking butterfly
sidewalk
stepping ducking clipper
stepping diving clipper*
torque--just got it flip :P
pdx whirl*
spinning butterfly*
stepping ss whirl*
pdx drifter*
pixie whirl
backside smear--also just got it flip
ps mirage
tapdown*

5adds
phoenix
stepping diving butterfly*
ripped warrior*
stepping pdx drifter*
alpine blur*

One hit wonders!!!
pixie paradon*
pixie ducking whirl*
gyro whirl*
stepping torque*

As you can see i am bothsided at a lower level(guiltless) but i just cant seem to take my game both sides when i start doing harder four adds.
Oh and i can't atomic set for shit!

But anyway...
Today i went back to a high school i used to go to like two years ago with my boy Graham, we learned to shred befor we even knew about footbag!!
(read moshers most recent big update)
Anyway i went back to this high school to meet up with this guy...and me and Graham had to wait befor we went to chill at my house so we decided to bust out....just for old time sake!

It turned into a circus act, as a huge crowd of eager young high school student gathered around us gasping in amazement of guiltless shredding...

IT WAS SOOOOO FUN!!! :P

But yeah i'm going to go back on thursday and do it again, just for fun... but this time i will get the number of one of those random girls oogleing the crazy skillz! Ha!

BTW Canada is a cold place to be shredding this time of year, and some days you can't even get your shirt off for fear of losing your nipples. :?
Add to this that the mall security guards threatened to ban me for life if I shred there ever again!!!
Its hard being a shredder sometimes......

Solo shredding tonight....Hit some new combos..
stepping op clipper>blurrywhirl(i forgot to list i can do that trick)>sidewalk>pdx mirage
not to shabby cuz i've never done a stepping out of blurry whirl...

was a real short session though..i have alot of homework

tommorow will be ill though,
i need to try for my third consecutive ripwalk
and school my switch sidewalk more...then i will be able to ripwalk better!
Oh and hit four contacts all ducking or diving butterfly, that would be sick.

Morning shred before an exam .

Kept my promise to myself to try to hit multiple flip sidewalks....
got two so far(sealed) but i have to get more!!!!
Almost sealed my third consecutive ripwalk...for some reason that trick is giving me more trouble than almost any other...
Any tips on consecutive ripwalks? Both my butterflies and steppings are good enough so i can bust ripwalk both sides on command...what am i doing wrong??

Did 18 consecutive fairies..looks so fucking cool!
over 60 consecutive pixies...
Hit the focus drill for the first time too!
Smear>dimwalk>blur>smear>dimwalk>blur

i think the last blur was kinda slurry though..
and i paused for a second after the first blur

Long time no post!

So i was drilling at the yeg(don't ask) yesterday and encouraged by the both-sidedness debate i worked my flip sets till i puked(not literaly).

Stepping op clipper x3
got my infinity record to 19!(still needs improvment)
Worked my blurry whirls..not bsos yet, but finally bs
shred,shred,shred...
first string with dimwalk and ripwalk bsos that wasn't a drill
finally....barrage bsos

yeah..my flip is slowly but surely becoming unflip!!I am newly motivated by my improvment, which seems to have come from hitting as many flip butterflies in a row as possible (butterfly>same butterfly>rpt)

In other breaking news.....
i graduated high school recently, after taking an extra year(due to footbag)! I'm SOOOOO relived you wouldn't even believe it! I have so much time to shred!! AHHHH! When i started this blog it was about two days until graduation but i counldn't wait to start my after-highschool blog.

Also...lady luck has been treating me well, as recent correspondence with said fine female figure has resulted in a solid girlfriend! Word...

Props on the lady situation, props on lots of time for shred... If you told me you were coming to Ottawa with all the other Ontario shredders, you'd be in the best situation i think possible at this time.
