Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
yeah, really liked your atomics, looks like you've been working on them a lot. Have you ever done any toe spinning stuff? toe spinning symp mirage would be cool.
Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Bro. I can't wait to shred with you in a few weeks!
New years eve is gonna be out of hand.

Lllllllllloooollllllllllllllll! Omgsh breathe... lol! Good one for real! =)
Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Vojta: I started out with the stroke look, too
Can't wait for your day of shredness. Such high praise! Ducking and Atomics have been my focus for a wee bit. I want Legbeater SO BAD, but Toe to Clipper tricks are awkward, I'll step it up, though.
Dan: Great to know that the work is showing! I've dabbled with it, but never stuck it out. I always confuse Spinning and Inspinning(Spinning=clockwise, Inspinning=counter-clockwise?). Definitely try and get on that hype again. Is it reverse in Australia ?
Cassy: That pic had me crackin' up, cause it's kinda true. Can't wait to shred and party with ya, either! Should be a glorious time to the max.

So, Joulukalenteri. Ya-yuh. Not too bad for being ill at the time. Was going to put a Brotha Lynch track as the song, but I don't think many people would appreciate it as much. Been playing somewhat steadily, something like 3 times a week, or so. Want to go to Stanford this weekend, but a family member just died, and there's a little shin-dig at the house. Funerals are weak sauce and I'm terrible with emotion, but I don't want to be a total dick for bailing. Would be the only time I'd be able to roll until after NYJ. Decisions. The weather has been pretty eh, lately, but luckily my mom works at a gym, so free membership all day. Been having a lot of onlookers and commentators, which has been cool, may even start up a class. Yo no se!
My buddy Justin has been joining me on a few occasions and has been doing some thangs. ATW >Mirage His first link, yee! My play has been pretty average, but I did have a 30 contact run where I only bailed 4 times and the rest was Toe Guiltless. Today, I got ss Pigbeater *3. I want 4 on camera for the record. Came close to Double Orbit record too, with 10. I foresee some wonderful times in my near future, time for the prophecy to come true.

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the introductions at NYJ. I am having these emotions post NYJ. Maybe this belongs in my blog, but I'm saying it here. It's like, I saw you and others for just a few moments at a time as I jumped circle to circle trying to meet/experience everyone, plus the workshops, plus the competitions, plus the demos, plus chase my children (I'm so sorry everyone for that) and etc, etc. There was never a dull Moment and it all went too fast and now it's over. How this relates to you: I wanted to spend much more time with you specifically but didn't/couldn't. Frustrated. Son, I am disappoint.
Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
agreed! awesome to finally meet you but wish we would've kicked together more. your game is even more impressive in person.

Oh, Kemm-dog. I'll stop using my lazy shortcuts just for you
I think we did Michigan pretty proper Hogan, other than the fact we didn't listen to any ICP or drink Faygo. Trooping it up till 5 in the mornin'.
'Twas a glorious time, and glad you know how to rage, Cassy.
Of course, Paul!! Was super stoked to finally meet ya and real glad that we did at least get some shred in. It's very understandable, there was so many people, and awesome workshops going on, so even with time, it's hard to do it all. No need to apologize, I thought your kids were awesome! I know how that feels, but don't worry, I'll be back in Michigan in no time, and we'll get some proper chill time.
Dope to meet you as well, Aaron! Thank ya, thank ya. You are so much better than any of the videos I've seen of you, there were some great strings! Yeah, but at least we got a couple sessions in. Until next time, yo.
NYJ, mo'fudgin' NYJ
NYJ was the best event I have been to, thus far. This is not going to be a well thought out, or even organized write-up, but YOLO-SWAG. Now, I know I haven't been to many, but DAMN! Was this a good one. For one, Anton and Jordan were the best hosts you could ask for. Two, Whirlyball. There were so many awesome peeps at this event, which was definitely one of the main reasons to attend. 40 something people all shredding to their heart's desires. Was a wee bit bummed that Mr. Penske wasn't going to be able to make it, but Hogan and Landes made up for that void. Then, there was the Jahner, who was probably the person I was most looking forward to meeting at this event. Dude has always had a steez that I could really appreciate, and when he said that I really inspired him to get his flip toe down, it damn near brought a tear to my eye how sincere it was. But, I guess I should try and get some order to this.
Flew in on Tuesday, and arrived around 5-ish to be picked up by the wonderful Bear and Cassy. The cold was some next level ish. I had already been on a bit of a bender for the past few days, so my energy level was running on fumes. Seeing them, and eventually getting to Anton's, did give me a bit of a second wind. Anton was still out and about, so we were greeted by Jordan, who is mad rad, and the Green Queen. Time to chill and enjoy the herbal essence, us footbaggers really enjoy shampoo. Dinofish! Anton got back, gave the homie a fatty hug, and continued the consumption. Anton is a master chef, and ended up cooking a bunch of bangin' meals throughout the stay. Ended up stitching up a bag real quick to keep myself up. Can't remember if it was first or second day that Anton and I had some Chess bouts, but we each won as white. He also had a super chill cat named Sophie, who had some great color to her, and loved to meow. There was a bit of a scare that Nick Landes might not have been able to make it, but then it turned out that not only would he be able to make it, but also come out and hang on New Years. Time to crash and let the festivities begin.
Everyone got up and active, and some breakfast was made by the sue chef, hefty pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Shortly after, there were talks of shred, and then Cassy began to warm up. We all began to follow suit and get down in the kitchen. I was a big fan of this shred place, mainly cause it was warm, and I've grown to dig slippery floors(makes you make sure to stick it). But, I can see how being tall and doing big jumpy tricks could have been frustrating, luckily I don’t have to deal with that. Anton seemed to be really feeling it, cause he was laying down some denseness, and Whirls and Swirls mid-string galore. I shall be stealing some of his toe drills, as well. Cassy, Brian, and Anton had already been playing everyday for basically a week, so the session wasn't too long, and there was also going to be lots of dancing in the night. Jordan had been hooping while we shredded, and she showed me some nifty new reverse rotation thing with two hoops, pretty mesmerizing. Everyone showered and got ready for what the night held. Mr. Landes got into town around the same time as Ianek, I believe, and Zach ended up getting them both. We went to go swoop him, and hang out a bit before pre-gaming it up with some of Anton and Jordan's peeps. This is where I first met Zach and Ianek, which was a treat. Also met Jahner's lady friend, and got dabbed out of my mind. It killed me, but was totally appreciated. We kick the shit a little longer, decide on what Landes bags everyone wanted, and then it was time to part ways and head towards Detroit.
We get to James' casa, and then it all begins. Everyone was just chillin' upstairs, chiefin' it up and getting ready for the party. There was still plenty of time to kill, so conversations were going on and on. Had a moment of opening up, which was very unexpected, but nice and needed. Super chill peeps, and cool to see who footbaggers associate with. Got to met Anton's bro Christian, too, who knew some stalls and some dexes, cool cat. Soon everyone heads out to see the show. We had a full vehicle, so I was riding in the trunk. Would end up spending a lot of time back there. We left after everyone, but somehow got there before anyone. There wasn't a coat check, so Anton just dropped us off and we booked it to the venue sans coats. CHILLY. People were in the zen, so the dance started right away. Nick had mentioned he wasn't the biggest fan of dancing, and was just chillin', so I figured to keep him company. Didn’t take long for the stud to attract a lady friend, and Cassy pulled me out to the dance floor. X-mag, Muzzy, and Minnesota were on the line-up, and they all killed it. Dancing was intense, we practically owned the dance floor, seeing as there was so many of us. We raged that shizz up! LIKE, FUCK! At one point we were all in a circle huddled up and bouncing around. Then, Anton, Christian, and I started moshing it up a bit. Lots of drunk people who didn’t know how to not spill their beers happened to be on the floor, too, which was a little peeving. Got grimey with everyone around, dude or chick. Jordan also got to cock block me kinda, which I thought was pretty hilarious(she didn't realize I was only 22). We were all feeling it to the max, but they abruptly stopped the show at like 1:15. After reconvening, we all were ready to had back to James'. First, we had to make haste back to the vehicle, and at 1 AM, in just dance clothes, was ROUGH. I am such a weenie in the cold, but it was pretty invigorating. Swoop up Nick, then off.
When we got back to the house, everyone was still in the zen, but not much to do about it. Then, as more and more people kept coming back, someone said a couple of the Artists were going to come over, too! Fucking nuts, Muzzy and the X-mag crew came by to chill for the New Year. Greenery was burned and chillin' happened, before half of the people at the show happened to be at the house. One of which was Nick's new female companion. Co-mingling was off the chain, but I was REALLY in the zen, so I chilled in the corner playing with my beanie laces. Got SO lost in it. Still ended up making some connections, though. Cassy was kind enough to keep me company for a chunk of the night, before we had to head out and pick up Hogan at 8 from the airport. The car was super packed, I was already in the trunk when we got Kevin, so he had to mash in the back with everyone. It was funny, cause he was in the same mentality as us, fudged up. And, he didn’t realize when he met Nick, that it was Nick Landes. Conversations were trying to be held, but everyone was rather brain dead and ready for sleep. Finally got to Zach's to drop off Hoagie, then missioned back to Anton's. Choked down a bowl and some grub, then had a nice quick nap. Spooned it up with Landes, but I'm not even sure if I got any sleep. Not really sure when everyone arose, but I listened to some beats waiting for peeps. Cassy got up and handled the dishes, which was rad, cause they were going to be put to use very shortly.
Everyone was finally up, and Emeril got down with making some b-fast, sure am gonna miss those meals. We hang and discuss all the ruckus we caused that morning. Talks of shred occurred, and before we knew it, Zach brought over the peeps at his house, so we could all hang at Anton's. Ryan was the only new person in the midst, if I remember correctly. Everyone had shred on their mind, or at least, Ianek, Nick L, and I, so we decided to get down. I know it was a four peep circle, but totally blanking on the 4th(Cassy?). Hogan played a wee bit, but he wasn't trying to get down with the get down too hard. Ianek is so dang funky fresh, it blew me away. Crazy links and BSOS-ness aplenty. Nick Polini and Nathan Pipenberg showed up at some point, can't decipher exactly when, but Polini hopped right on in. After some time, I was in need of a shower, so my time with shred was done for the day. I want to say this is actually when Anton and I had our Chess matches. Love that most footbaggers are down with the Chess, I'm not that good, but I sure enjoy the challenge. Ken is the only person I've yet to beat, but that's cause he is studly at it, like footbag. Soon, all the shred ends, and everyone is just hanging and getting down with the chit-chat, and talks with coach. It was getting late, and the next day would be when things would start to get real. All the people and the hotel. Cuddle puddle.
Next is to cover the actual event.

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
I also have not beat Barrett in Chess, either. I'm a dirty liar.
Forgot to mention that I have never modded my Lavers, EVER, other than lace mod. And during that night, Cassy and Brian were kind enough to do it for me. Though, I think they would have done it anyways. The next day came, and everyone seemed pretty pumped for what the day entailed. Bomb ass breakfast, of course, with some bomb ass smoothies got the day started super proper. Can't really recollect why everyone was at the house, but people were over, and everyone was ready to head to a shred spot and get shizz crackin'. First, we had to check into the swanky 2 star hotel that Brian stumbled upon(Go Bear!), which was super priming. During the hype and commotion, I forgot the number one thing a footbagger needs, their Lavers. Was a wee bit bummed, cause I wanted to try out my freshly modded shoes, but Anton and Jordan made a run back later that night and were awesome enough to swoop them for me <3. We get to the hotel and everyone who is there gets all situated. Now, off to the NICE MU campus and wonder about.
I rolled with Jahner and peeps, so I wouldn't have to do a trunk chill again, I also think there was no room. Plus, rolling with Z-sleezy means mobile safety meetings. The parking garage we were at was super short, and if all the bodies and junk in the back weren't there, it may have been some scraper status. We start headin' towards campus, and take some sweet routes in a tagged up alley. Disappointed in myself for not snapping some pics, cause I fudgin' love graffiti. There were talks of food, but everyone was just trying to get their shred on. My hunger was immense, but luckily, Landes and Cassy wanted some Sushi, so I had to roll with. Parted ways with the group and headed to the restaurant. Place was pretty grubbin', and I should have ordered more, but it did the job. Landes had noticed a group of peeps with some hoops walking back, and it turns out that the spot, which is usually unlocked, happened to be locked. And everyone had food on the mind, so they just set out for some grubbage, as well. I had ran out to make sure that we knew where everyone was going to be going, and got back to the Sushi spot just in time for Nick and Cassy to finish and head out. Nick needed to check his money status, and pick up some insoles, so we stopped at a Walgreens and snagged some necessities. Most of the shredders were at some spot called PotBelly's, so we went to hang out while everyone finished their food. Some were also at Five Guys and Chipotle. After all the food was consumed, we all head back to the vehicles and get ready to head back to the hotel. The Canadians had just arrived, so it was pretty good timing. This is also when I first met David, who I'm a fan of.
People were antsy for shred, so it was time to head to Adam's awesome pad. Rolled with Anton, cause I wanted to get some shred in, too, and he was the first to mobilize. Adam's spot was super noice, and had a giant basement shred/hang area. Met him and his awesome doge, Sophie. All I had was my running shoes, so I had to make due with it, which means toes forever. Adam is such a good player, and his form is rather impeccable, super stoked to get some time in with him right away. Kyle Cook and Aaron Price rolled with, so we had a good 5 man circle going right away. This was where I first saw them get down. Aaron had blown me away, thought his level was just scratching the surface of Tiltless, but he was able to lay down some strings that blew me away. I know playing with people who are better than you, can get in your head, and noticed him getting a tad bit frustrated at times. But when he got going, he got going. Kyle was also wicked good. He had been posting a lot of videos recently, so I was much more familiar with his level, but he, of course, surpassed my expectations. We were able to play for quite some time before more people started to show up.
Stepped out of the circle for a split second, and it quickly turned into a 6 man. There was a smaller space on the side that wasn't occupied so Nick L and I decided to set up shop. Nick is pretty adamant at starting his sessions with a chainmail bag, and this was the start of the chainmail circles. As more people flowed in, I finally got to meet Alex Venis and Johnny FUCKING Suderman(I met them at the hotel, but in the midst of everyone). I fanboyed a wee bit over the Sude, his 2009 special was one of the first videos I remember watching/understanding and never really thought I'd meet him. The chainmail circle got fat, Brian, Nick L, Alex and I were doing the deed. I started getting frustrated with the bag, so I stepped out and figured to watch and mingle a bit. Polini filled in my spot, and when Bear left, Pipebomb filled in for him(This was the circle I payed most attention to). The circle finally morphed away from chainmail to a regular bag, and Polini, Hogan, Morris, and I got DOWN. Great fucking times. Hoagie is one of my favorite people, and favorite people to shred with, mainly cause he likes my toes and says "fuck Clippers, more toes", on the reg. Kyle would also end up hopping in later, too. Ryan is really good, and I like his style, he had a scare though with a real quick roll of the ankle. Thankfully, all was well. April and Ben were showing off all the bags they had, and they had some stashed cookies that I had to get at. Ben cracks me up, and April is a rather chill cat, who should definitely hop in more circles, for she possesses much skill. There was some tequila drinking going on, and I wrangled myself in it, even though I despise tequila. BUT, Benjamin was kind enough to offer up some of his honey whiskey, which was better, for me.
There was a lovely moment where Zach and I had some one-on-one time to talk about toes and Clippers, just footbag in general. Eventually, Bear would find us and join in the talks. And shortly after, Ianek joined on in and chatted for a while(He had came up to me earlier in the night wanting to help with my Clipper, and it would have been the PERFECT time, if I didn't just have running shoes. And would end up so caught up in sideline shred, that I never took him up on his offer to help me :/). It was awesome to have 3 really good Clipper players all give me their perspective on the way things should be done, and the problems they had faced when first learning it. Came down to confidence, crank, slow the eff down, and curling my toes. Such a toe heavy player that my toes kinda get stuck curled up. Tangent: Justin Dale was awesome enough to call me out and make me an in-depth how to video on working on proper Clipper form, with heavy emphasis on curling of the toes. Now that the jam is done, that shall be my bible.
Some lovely fat car coach meetings occurred throughout the night, car full, with people standing outside. The best. Peeing outside was pretty difficult, I cannot hang with the cold(HA!). It was gnarley going from the super chilly, to the ultra moist and warm basement. As the night progressed, I spent most of my time in the chainmail circle, but eventually there was an opening in the main circle. Before that, Evan decided that Swirling Whirring Swirl should be hit a couple times. It was just Cassy and Johnny, so I figured to help facilitate the cursed two man session. After a couple runs, Cassy was tapped, so back to the two man for a bit. This may have been my favorite shred of the weekend(cause of who it was with, not cause what was hit), other than my actual Circle for the comp. Johnny is such a nice dude, and his compliments were a huge confidence booster. "I like the way you push yourself through without bails". This was the first event that I actually didn't get much shit for not doing Clippers(Not that I care, cause I probably should get shit for not doing them), if anything, I was more encouraged to do toes. Johnny was rippin', and I was trying to push my level, which turned me into a drop fest. It was funny when people thought that the running shoes were my shred shoes, good to know I wasn't horrible in them. We were getting winded fairly quick, but there were only a couple peeps in another circle, so it was time to fuse. This lasted for maybe another 5 runs before the Sude and I backed down, but the circle was still going strong. It would come to an end, and the 4-square would begin.
Anton and Jordan had made a run to drop Aaron off and run back to the casa earlier in the day, but they came back with fat stacks of pizza. Plus, my kicks! I was already changed and finished with shred, but had to test out the kicks a wee bit. While I was scoping them out, I noticed the laces were different(Not only did I not mod, but never really messed with other types of lace mods), and Johnny was dope enough to show me his style of lacing, which I rather enjoy. Only fooled around a little bit with them, I don’t think I finally adjusted to them till my first session back from the jam. Vince was requesting some ridiculous moves, which was cracking me up. It was getting late, and people were finally ready to start calling it a night. Back to the hotel for some dabs! I was in the room with Jahner, Hogan, Gatesman, and Moutard. Dave was a trooper, cause he obviously was ready for bed, but people wanted to choke on some rope before catching some zzz's. And we stayed up pretty late doing so. He was also mad kind and let me have the bed for both nights, fudgin' trooper. So I got to spoon it up with Zach
Zach was the first to arise, and I soon followed. He hopped in the shower, then it was time for some wax. As soon as the torch went off, Kevin woke right up and was ready to partake, what a way to wake up. A good majority of people were ready to get some food in their stomach's, so we headed out to some bomb little rink-a-dink spot that wasn't really meant for a fatty group of peeps. Anton left first, so that's who I went with, think this was when we had 7 people in the vehicle. Jordan, Anton, David, Nick L, Kevin, Kemm-dog, and this guy. Later, Ianek, Zach, Nick P, and potentially one other person showed up. It was a self service place, other than cooking your food, of course. Anton, Zach, and Ianek were going over how the day should go, setting up the request links, and working on the seeding of everyone. Conversations were held, and they had these conversation starter cards that were pretty hilarious. The group was pretty satisfied with the food, and it was time to gear up and get ready for the actual event.
Gathered the necessities from the hotel, and went off with Anton, again. The venue was fudgin' spectacular. Super massive, amazing floor, and blue everywhere. Potentially the best floor I've ever played on, way grippy, and just enough cushion that nothing felt too high impact. Some kind of fancy rubber-esque material. The first day was all about the competition aspect of the weekend. All the events seemed to flow quite quickly, and before I knew it, the day was over. Started shredding right away, cause that's what I was there for. Soon after, a Mr. Paul Gressett strolled on in, and had to give the dude a nice big hug. Finally met him! He was making his rounds, so back to the shred. I spent a majority of the time in circles with Hogan, but bounced around as much as I could. Johnny Sarah finally showed up, which was nice. Didn't get much shred in with him, but did get some good chill time with him. Many coach sessions and safety meetings were held throughout the day, and it was a little scary going from all warmed up, to walking outside in the cold to the car. Good thing coach has never let me down. Intermediates were done with, and David wrecked on some foo's. Big ol' props. The time came where it was time to compete. Suderman and Hogan were in my Circle, so I had no intentions of outdoing my seed. Johnny S gave me some wonderful advice on how to go about Circle comp, and I feel like it really helped me get out of my head, like a lot. Don’t blend the two! Except when it came to Density, cause all I wanted to do was hit big shizz, but big shizz didn't wish to be hit. I like that Kevin doesn’t really take the competition aspect of footbag too seriously, and love them flying toes. Which I regret not getting pointers on. Kevin fooled around, which made me finish higher than him, in the end. Not that it matters, cause he could shit on my level whenever he pleases. Backside Fog for days! The final Circle was also crazy raw, watched what I recorded about a dozen times on the plane ride back. Matador Swirl! There were also some cool mini comps like mirage race and Tiltless mania.
I finally got to play with Drew Martin!! What a pleasant surprise! He was hurt during East Coasts, so he rarely played. I didn’t, however, get to play with Boats. Poop. It's hard for me to leave a circle to join another, unless someone is playing by themselves, or 2 peepin' it. Played with Paul for a wee bit, but would play more with him the next day, and played with his son, Sebastian, who is going to be wicked good in the very near future. Day one of the comp was coming to a close, but the day was only just beginning, WHIRLYBALL. We all head back to the hotel, and start getting ready for Whirlyball with some proper dabbage. Off with Zach for some more mobile safety meetings, and we get to this BANGIN' spot. Not only was the Whirlyball thing awesome(though I did not play, bumper cars can be rough and I was hurtin'), but the back private room was swanky as fuck. Zach got the fudgin' hook-up, free soda and brew, free pizza, breadsticks, and salad. Pool tables, comfy couches galore, TV's with the game on, and plenty of room for shred, if need be. Soon, everyone arrived, food was eaten, pool was played, and whirlyball went DOWN. Freakin' hilarious watching everyone play. There was also some schweet stuff to consume, which made the time there that much more fun. But, I think the highlight of the night was Alex utterly smashing on the salad bowl, basically on his own. At one point, he was walking around with the bowl, just shoving fistfuls of salad in his mouth. Dude likes salad, and nuggets. John, one of Anton's associates, had some nifty little devices for sale that I wish I copped, and, that dude had some wicked pool skills. Ianek had brought a nice little 5 piece drum kit with him, and it got used a fair amount. Footbag finally started happening, and Ianek was trying to match the beat to the flow of the freestyle. Mikie hopped on a few times and was RIPPIN' it up, made me want to hop on, but I was not in the mentality for that. Woulda just started banging some heavy metal ish. Oh yeah, and COOKIES!! Damn, April can make a mean Snickerdoodle. Milked all the time we could out of that place before having to call it a night.
Back at the hotel, some people were ready for bed, and some weren't. Some fatty coach sessions went down, starting off in Zach's room, which got mad bustling. Someone busted out some Jager, so of course, I had to slam some back. Zach was tired, and as were others who occupied the room, so we let them be and tried to migrate to another spot. We were trying to get it going in Cassy's room, but Suderman was trying to catch some zeez's. Super nice of him to let us get down, and I know it was all his choice, but I still feel a bit bad about him heading home from there. Not just cause he was leaving, but also cause no one else would be able to say good-bye. Gave him a big hug, apologized, and had a nice Circle handshake between he, Hogan, and I. That dapper ass G. The night continued with many sessions and eventually some drinking. It was Johnny Sarah, the very drunk Missy, Alex, Brian, Nick L, Minna, Cassy, Kevin, and I going until sometime after 5. Some ridiculous conversations were held. Alex comparing nuggets to ambrosia, Missy and her vulgarity, Nick and his puns, and just talks of life, and drugs. This was where I chilled with Mr. Breakdown the most, who happened to wearing a shirt with "breakdown" on it. 'Twas nice to squeeze in as much chill time as possible, even if it meant lack of sleep. But, finally, Hogan and I had reached our limits, and it was time to crash.
Checkout time was at 11 AM, so people were up and packing pretty early. Got everything situated and was ready to go. The hotel complained that we were loud, even though there was some tweaker-ish dude SLUMPING some Puddle of Mudd, or Nickelback at like 3 AM. Whatever, 2 stars, yo. Everyone decided that Denny's was a good choice for food, and it was super close to the hotel/venue. Got some good grubbage and more chill time before the day of immense shred began. All the knives there had Clipper imprinted on them, with some giant 5 digit number next to it. But, guess who got the one that said Clipper1. THIS FUCKING GUY. My Clippers are obviously number 1. Had to snag it, and would later bestow that to Anton. Nick P thought it would be wise to take a dare of shooting back some maple syrup, from Pipebomb, which he did. Classic, but he shoulda done two. Off to the venue we go!
This was the day of days for shred, all the comps were done, so all that was left to be done was to shred yo mo'fudgin' genitals off! Got some fatty shred time in with the Jahner, Steven Lanza, Kyle, Scott Davidson, April, Ben, Hogan, Gressett, Cassy, Mac, Brandon, Pipebomb, KEMMER, and so many more. Lanza can freakin' shred, he was laying down some crazy denseness towards the end of the day. Glad he is over the ADD hunt hump. There was some bad weather coming in, so a lot of people left early to avoid complications. First time I saw snow while being there, and made the coach sessions real fun. Also, lots of workshops going on, which I should have joined in, but sideline shred was far too enticing. There was an awesome circle near the end of the day, with Kemm-dog, Pipebomb, Hogan, and I, which I think was truly my favorite circle of the weekend. All three of them dudes have styles I really look up to. At one point, Nathan was just hitting everything I yelled out. Hit Bladerunner for his first time, which is like my favorite trick, and hit Alpine 69!!!! ALPINE 69! There was a couple more requests I threw at him, like Atomic Ducking Illusion, and one more I can’t think of. SO RAW. I really wanted to hit my Smog >Pixie ss DLO(KEMMER!) repeat drill, but kept missing the last Pixie ss DLO. Never really realized how good my Triples were until seeing the whole circle try the drill. Not like I'm amazing, but it gave me some perspective. Also, not trying Pixie DSO for a while. Seems every time I try it, I end up kicking myself in the balls. HARD. Got down with Paul some more before he left, dude has some wicked good form, and I really like the length of his stalls. Sadly, though, the event was coming to an end. And I didn't get any shred time with Khoa! Poop, all on my face. Dude always gives me such high praise, and his recent video was mad fresh. Plus, he's a fudgin' freestyle football superstar, with a super clean routine. Peaced out to all who were leaving right then and there.
Decide to all grab some dinner before parting ways everyone. A bit of a complication cause the Canadians didn’t have a working phone, and we ended up changing spots to grub mid journey Luckily Zach was the man and found them to guide them to Chilly's. Woulda been a real bummer. Ended up stopping at Anton's to make room, cause we were smashed in there pretty well, and I got one last trunk ride in! Peeps got some fancy margaritas and what not. I was fairly drained at this point, but was trying to converse, as this was the last moments with some. Smashed on my food, and anyone else who would let me have some of theirs. The time for until next time, was upon us, though. Canadians were the first to go and big hugs were shared. BIG. Until next time, for sure.
Back to Anton's for the final chill before parting ways with another group. Jordan was pretty awesome about it, seeing as she had some work in the AM. Hugs, hugs, hugs, with occasional drugs, drugs, drugs. Zach, Ianek, and Pipebomb departed. I still owe Zach a "pretty as fuck" bag. People were trying to get the whole bed situation figured out, cause some people had early flights. Anton couldn't find his air pump, so him and Brian ended up getting a lung workout pumping up the bed I was crashing on. Woulda helped if I would have known. Finally all situated and time to crash. Khoa had an early flight, and was the first to leave. Anton was a trooper for driving back and forth for peeps. And even made on last b-fast for us before heading back for round two. Nick L left with the Grand Rapids crew to go visit his familia, so we got one more good-bye in with them. Also got to buy some awesome trinkets and pins from him before leaving. Kyle was lucky enough to have a later flight, so he was able to sneak in one last session with Anton and Zach. Brian, Evan, Kevin, and I all left at the same time to make things easier for our gracious host. Big hugs all around before the final departure. Will be seeing all of you people in the near future, as long as I, or you, don't die. Thank you Anton and Zach for hosting the best event I've been to. And thank you Anton for going above and beyond, and then even further, as an amazing host. You all deserve some head. Much love to all the homies.
Sorry if I didn't cover anything, or left anyone out. Wasn't even gonna do a write-up.
Thinking about a post event thoughts, but I wouldn't count on it.
Session Yesterday
Was FEELING it, and I'm starting to come around to the whole mod thing, like, monumentally so. Have some SUPER clean and funky fresh gray Lavers I just got. Never seen this color combo, and gray is by far my favorite color(or shade, if you want to be proper). But, scared to deflower them. Buddy was in town, and he was bored, so I made him tag along. He witnessed some shizz, so I do have proof-ish!
Edit: This was also my first non-coach session in a few years. Decided to take a bit of a break, cause my body is doing stuff I don't find too comforting. Played for just over an hour, and never have I sweat so much, or been so winded. Just a little bit longer. Coach, I need you
Highlights:
-Pixie muted Double Orbit(For some reason, the plant really slows me down)
-footed Orbiting ss Egg (Fairy ss Egg, just all down/mid time)
-1 contact away from P. Egg BSOS*5
-Strings with Clippers
-Triples
-Alpine-ness
The burn for footbag is very intense.
<3 <3 <3

Ughh. I think you may have a problem, friend. Fine, fine. Next time we meet up, we can hit some rock together.Derek wrote:Ben cracks me up... I am a giant tool and have always dreamed of smoking some baked boulders with him, he is my hero.
Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Why thank ya! Felt guilty about doing one for ECFC and not this one, cause this was the bomb. The feeling is mutual, and I shall try.
Totally say that all the time! Was just thinking how big of a tool I am, and dream about getting you on the rock bandwagon on the daily. You are Darth Maul, son of Dathomir. It's totally a problem, problem of running out. Awww YEAH!
POOP DOLLAR!
Went to Crawford today, seeing as it's pretty warm outside. Only had 75 minutes to get down, so I did it to the max. Some dudes were slack linin', and dabbled with that real quick. Possess some decent balance. Played with my new Landes bag. Really not a fan of any 32's anymore, other than for training. Rolly rolls. That said, I do like it, to an extent. And, it's pretty.
Ahhhhh:
-Warmed up with op Inside *50 >op Toe *50 >100 Toe bumps >Hand Catch
-My Flip Clipper is now my strong. Whoops.
-Ducking far Symple Legover BSOS
-Pixie muted Clipper >P. Illusion repeat *3.5
-Atomic Legover >Atomic ss Legover repeat
-Smear >DSO repeat
-One contact from Pixie Gold (First Try)
-Double Orbit *8 (Strong)
-Atomic Legover >DSO repeat
-Smog >Pixie ss DLO repeat >Pigbeater >Pixie ss Egg >Drop (First Try)
-Ducking P. DLO BSOS!!!! (First 5 sauced)
-Symposium Eggbeater !!!!!!!!!! (Hogan!)
Shout out to Adam Keith and Jay M. for helping and hosting for the tournament, as well!
Hoping to make a Stanford visit this weekend. FOOTBAG!

What did I sauce that you can't hit strong?? I've just been feeling in my element lately, and the sunshine super charges me. Thanks, dude.
Requiem
Real quick. I've had problems sleeping since birth, and last night I woke up on 3 separate occasions. Crazy thing, I had the same dream re-occur every time. And, not only was re-occurring, it continued the story, which I have tried to do before (Pretty decent at lucid dreaming, or, I used to be), but never accomplished. Super trippy, but awesome. It was a "nightmare", but those are usually fun for me. Played in the racquetball courts today, got down for just over an hour. Hogan has challenged me to hit Symp Egg back at ECFC, glad to get that down. He recently wanted to race for Pandemonium (Pixie Symp Egg), and I am down. Been slacking on filming, cause I said I'd make a Symple tutorial, which I really need to do. Though, my next session I'll probably try and get some of my current level on camera. Did end up hitting Pandemonium, but at the cost of aggravating my hip/groin area on the right side. Oh, well. 'Twas dope.
Shizz:
-PANDEMONIUM (Didn't happen, till video)
-Symp Egg
-Ducking P. DLO BS (First try on Strong)
-Atomic Leg*3 >PLO repeat
-Omelet BSOS
-Ducking op Clipper >Ducking far Legover repeat *2.5 (I know this isn't a complete repeat, but there was only a Clipper in between)
On a wee bit of a ADD hunt spree, but it doesn't happen often, so it can't hurt too much. Ready to start fucking some footbags up, game has been feeling rather on point. Toes are starting to catch fire, and I haven't focused on them too much, other than Atomics. I need more footbaggers in my life. STANFORD.
Coming for those Eggs Jindra.
