Great links, dude. It's tough to find motivation to play when it's cold out, especially when you can't find a great place to play indoors. I've been experiencing the same thing (my only good playing area is at a gym 30 minutes from my place). So, I started to just drill my very basic stalls with a chain mail bag, to make sure my stalls are perfect. Practicing your stalls with just a regular bag or maybe a rolly bag is really helpful too. But one of the best feelings is drilling indoors all winter, then coming back to outdoor footbag in the spring and being like SO MUCH better then you were the last time you played in warm weather. That is something that pushes me. You also have a gold mine of footbag help right at your fingertips, and I'm sure Matt wouldn't mind if you picked his brain about some concepts or any other topics. Thanks bud. Yea it was just a big mental block trying to footbag in my house. Too pent up or something, idk. That's a good idea though, I think I have a chainmail bag lying around somewhere, I'll look for it. That indoor drilling definitely sounds worth it, not really speaking from personal experience yet as I've haven't played footbag for a whole year yet. But I'll keep it going with a little help from my friends yea

Very happy with my session and performance today, despite the soreness my muscles are still going through. Matt did some dope shit but I'll let him write about that. He also got me some purple and pink as well as neon green short shorts for footbagging! He knows me too well <3

Today was just a dope day. Had interesting classes with a cool professor, played large amounts of Yugioh with my friends Pat. Footbagged for a good 2.5 hours with El Kemdawgwalker, played some Smash Bros with aforementioned friend Pat and some of his friends (I got shit on, never played Smash before in my life). Levelled up my Weedle into a Kakuna (STILL SO WORTHLESS, BEEDRILL WILL BE AMAZING I KNOW IT), just a good fucking day. Happy, that is all.

Had a decent clipper session today. Matt gave me a tip to keep my elbow more locked in behind my shoulder on my left clippers, so I tried focusing on that most of the session. Main drills/ links:

Matt got a lot of cool shit too. Very happy with how I'm beginning to develop more with footbag. I feel like I have so much more tricks/ combinations I can do now than I did 2 or 3 months ago. Much thanks to my footbag dad Matt and uncle Nick and all my friends I've met through footbag.

Matt and I were walking back from our session so he could take a shower real quick in my dorm and he forgot his shirt, inciting many remarks from passerby on the nature of the weather. Regarding their judgments about his curious actions, Matt replied to me with "These people can't even dream about what I hit today". So perfect.

Nick- Thanks dood, appreciate it first double dex yea, was mad cool to finally get after a bunch of attempts with Matt in our session. Gonna try and solidify it as best I can on both sides in the next few weeks.

Ankles and calves are taking a beating from all the clipper stuff I've been doing, which I think is a good thing? Makes sense if my form is getting better that my ankles and calves would feel the strain. Maybe anyways.

Had a quick drilling session on Tuesday, mostly just mirage stuff:

Session with Kematadordawgwalker was a rough one. Ankles and calves started hurting pretty much halfway in the session and was harder to hit stuff. Think I hit another illusion, some decent attempts at DLO. That's about it. Some clean runs/ drills here and there.

Dr. Kemino suggested a couple days rest, so no footbag this weekend I guess. Taking a good 4-5 days off I think.

Other than that, things are pretty cool. Classes are going well, I bought a new Yugioh deck (not butterflies), and I'm reading the Hobbit for the second time through. I have 3 different main friend groups now which makes hanging out with everyone interesting. Learning how to play smash bros because apparently I was neglected as a child or something. Or so everyone says lol. It's pretty fun though, slowly getting better. The combat style is kind of different than what I'm used to (coming from MOBAs, MMOs, and RTS games) so I'm just playing a couple heroes (characters?) to get the feel for em, mainly Sheik and Marth.

Had a pretty nice session with Kemdawgnapper. I hadn't played in a week so I felt pretty rested and ready to shred. Legs felt a bit heavy to start off but once I got started shit just sorta clicked. Highlights:

Roommate and I had an interesting conversation about God last night. Whether or not God is omnipotent but indifferent to human suffering or he/she/it cares but for some reason can't do as much as is expected of a omnipotent being. Neat kind of stuff to think about even though I'm not necessarily a believer. I should really try to research this stuff more maybe as of right now I don't really have an opinion one way or another. Anyways, my roommate recently converted to another religion so I guess it's been on his mind a lot.

Playing amother runthrough of Pokemon Leafgreen. I'm at the third gym and I have 5 main pokemon on my team already. I'm naming them all after characters from avatar, so my Clefairy is Ty Lee, Kadabra is Aunt Wu, Geodude is Toph etc. Fun game to play so far, trying to match each Pokemon's characteristics with something from the Avatar:TLA world.

This is slowly becoming my favorite blog to read. It's fun to read, simple, and fun to read. Yeah.
The highlights are fun and all, but you know the real reason people come here is to see your Kem...er names. Props on the consecutive mirages, I had one of those sessions recently and it effectively killed my legs for a week. That trick is a lot harder in consecs than it should be. Really makes you focus on your breathing (and the snot in your nose, apparently).

Look forward to kicking with you soon. Like, actually playing footbag, not just sucking at hacky sack like I was the last time we kicked.

Ivan: Thanks! I try to make it interesting somewhat. Kemdawg has so many potential nicknames it's crazy.

Definitely agree on the mirages though, those consecutive ones just turn your legs into rubber after a bit. The good thing is I've got the form down so well I could do them in my sleep. So I can focus on breathing like you said.

And Matt also said I need to stop have a slight raking motion to my toe stalls and more straight up and down, so I'm focusing on that too.

Haha yea, that was so funny. Kemz was just like that's disgusting dude and I'm just like I know and left to go blow my nose. I've been sick for like 2 weeks now, pretty great. Slowly recovering I think.
