I'll probably go to the gym after work today, if I do i'll work on that 4*2/15/30 string. No clue what my next journey will be. Cory and I talked about trying to find a third or fourth person and road tripping for USO, but its unlikely. Probably wont be until after the fall school semester though.

I've taken the last two days off shred to rest my legs, But yesterday I had a mental game breakthrough when I was thinking about my set for spins. I've been having trouble hitting spinning clipper and osis on my strong side because the set always ends up a few feet to the side. Last night I realized I wasn't using my support leg at all to set it. I threw on one laver and hit 4/4 spinning cilppers with much straighter sets and a more controlled catch. I have also been making an effort to start using more pixie sets when I string and they've been getting much more controlled. I picked up the bag for a few minutes barefoot on my way to bed and was thinking about setting pixies as high and as straight as possible and focused on my support leg and keeping the bag underneath me. I footed pixie ducking flapper a few times before bed, i'll work on getting that bsosd sometime in the next few sessions.

I haven't blogged much lately, I took a summer Trig class and didn't have much spare time after homework and footbag. I didn't do as well as I had hoped but I did much better than I feared I haven't received my Final grade but i'm fairly certain i'll end the semester with a 90% or above. Today I practiced Illusions.

Spent the last few months working mostly on BOP's, Last few sessions i've been working on spins, inspins, swirls, rev swirls, whirls, whips, and various uptime sets. Set a new osis PR yesterday, probably the first time energy was even a factor, I'm gonna try and push it to 100 before the end of the month.

Footbag stuff will be at the end, until then life rant. My final grade for my summer trig class came through, I was really hoping to score at least a 90% for the semester but I guess 86% isn't bad. Next semester will be more challenging. I'm taking Calculus I and Chemistry I, I failed chemistry last time I took it a few years ago so this semester will take a lot of studying and dedication. I've been pretty unhappy with my job for a while now, but I wasn't actively been working on a way out. I am working on getting my A+ certification before my fall classes start so I can seek a new job that's more challenging and enjoyable.

Now footbag stuff. I went out to one of city parks last night and met up with a bunch of the Poi, Staff, Hoop flow art people and had a session with them, I ran into a kid that used to shred with Cory Allen a few years back. He even had a bear bag in his backpack that he'd bought a few years before. He didn't have any shoes with him but I think Cory and I are going to invite him next time we get together and try and get him back into it. Cory also informed me last night that we have Grant Redding coming into to St.Louis soon so that should be loads of fun. Every time we have company or shred in a super public place its like Cory turns his dial from 4-10, we will shred for months and i'll never see him hit a single paradox whirl, then, he just starts throwing ps whirl and symp eggs and shuffles like a monster when people are watching. I'm also pumped to shred with Grant, I'm not super familiar with his game but every session i've had with a new player has been a great learning experience. Last night I hit another milestone combo Toe Blur B2B and I even did it starting on both sides.

Props on getting that link both directions. Definitely a lot harder than atom b2b in my opinion. Good luck with the path to the new job too. In my experience, life isn't a constant output of effort, but rather strategic spurts where you push super hard, and then be rewarded due to the push. Getting to a better job earlier in your life is a good reward for making a strong push like going back to college, etc.

I haven't said anything for a little while, but I've been watching from afar and I'm seriously loving your game. Keep doing this stuff. I think you should stop experimenting with new stuff and just start becoming as consistent as possible with what you have, because if you did that, your game would be really great and a blast to watch..

I have twice the experience I did at NYJ. Doubt i'll make it to east coasts, but i'm sure we'll shred soon, possibly next NYJ?

Grant Redding came into town for the weekend. It was a really good time. Haven't played that hard in a while. On Friday after work I ran a few errands then drove out to Cory's. We immediately hopped in his car to head to the gym for our session. Had a nice long meeting with the coach on the way over and after filling out guest pass info we walked into the gymnasium to find it empty, perfect. We threw on some old hip hop tunes (ghostface killah, GZA, alchemist, etc.) and played from 7-9pm nothing too notable, mostly a warm up session. After the gym closed we were all still itching to play so we had another meeting with the coach and played in the parking lot till a little after 10:20pm. Cory hit some dumb (said in the nicest way) zipper trick so I tried Ducking Zipper and hit it second try. I couldn't hit it to save my life the next day, but i'm really thinking I wanna start throwing that move into strings, maybe Ducking Zipper>Swap>Zoid symp op mirage. It was getting late so we called it a night and all headed home.

The next day Cory and Grant showed up at my house sometime around 3pm. We hopped in my car, had nice long meeting with the coach and then arrived at our shred spot for the day. Our new shred spot is at Worlds Fair Pavilion in Forest Park. It has a killer view of the fountains and the park, and a very large patch of open concrete under shade.



We played from 330-7ish. It was a very exhausting session. Had a couple of onlookers that seemed to really enjoy it. A group of "bro"/"Frat" guys walked by and started shouting "Hacky Sack Olympics 2015" and then stopped for a while to film some clips, it was pretty funny. A while later a group of 8 or so people were hanging out nearby watching for a while. Cory hit an unbelievable run starting with Stepping ducking pdx Illusion (Avalanche) that was probably 20+ contacts and a ton of shuffle. The group of people watching started clapping, its always nice when people outside the community show appreciation for a great run. At the very tail end of our session there was a photographer nearby taking pictures of some girl and her boyfriend. They hadn't brought any water and were asking where a vending machine was (its a very public spot in st.louis, so there are none) I had brought plenty of extra water so I gave them a bottle and the photographer asked us to let her take some still shots of us. We gave her the footbag hashtag for instagram so we should see them up sometime soon.

Huge progress, Torques are definitely a crowd pleaser. Would be cool to see some Spinal Taps

Always nice to see people promoting freestyle. I find that people are more likely to stay and watch if you have a clean and funky style and smile a lot. Like if there was a circle with Dexter, Lotus and Nick, there'd be a lot of people watching.

Please release a more full length video, would love to see this crazy dope progress in the realness. Really hope to play with ya in the near future, Vegas Jam seems like so long ago.
