Which would you rather have a hundredmillionbajilliontrillion nickels or threethousandmillionjillionbatrillion 7 cent pieces.
These combo comparisons just don't make sense to me, could you post video of the first one, and the third one for me, my instinct says 'A', but I know I should pick 'C' when I don't know the answer.

Mantis is spinning pdx eggbeater and Timberwulff is leaning (stepping inspinning) torque, (Migel's right about 69 as well). I chose the combo starting with Irish cream because it has shit loads of torque stuff in it. To step out of torque and then follow the step with a torque and then spin into something symposium (especially a double dex) is nuts!

No, its gyro eggbeater. unless im severely mistaken, in that case correct me.xndru wrote:Mantis is spinning pdx eggbeater
I find #3 the hardest for the same reasons my homedog Reile does.
It's set up like a deck of cards,

Just wondering who named Skullsmasher and when did they first hit it? Lynton hit this move in at least 2000 - most likely 1999 and named it rasmus. There is footage from 2000 (I think) of him hitting it in the media section at ausfootbag.org in some of the runs. He also holds the world record for this move - admitadly only two, and he can hit it symposium with ease. I try not to be patriotic but Lynton is a good friend of mine, and it annoys me that he keeps losing the recognition for moves that he hits and names because he doesn't live in america (neutron smasher, cyclone, rasmus)

I think that a lot of people know that Lynton hit it and (possibly) named it rasmus. I think the thing is is that the name really has no relation to the move at all. I mean, it is relatively easy to see why alpine atom smasher would be skull smasher. It is the same type of deal with Cold Fusion / Geesha, and I think possibly alpine fear (cower). Lynton can hit some crazy stuff and he gets lots of respect from me for that, but for me personally I think a number of his names leave a lot to be desired.

Well stated. Additionally, I was relatively unaware of his move names before just recently, although he hit moves like Atomic ducking mirage more than 3 years ago. If he wanted his trick name to be publicly used, he should have been (and still should be) actively arguing for its use by the footbag world. He is not, which leads me to believe he would rather invent new moves than have moves named after him. To me, this is an admirable quality.

Yeah I think that the reason Lynton doesn't argue about the names is because he doesn't have the net at home, so doesn't realise that people have decided not to use his names. I notice that people like Lon Smith and the Czech crew use Lynton's names - really it just seems to be particular areas of the US that feel like they can call a move whatever they want. Lynton also named alpine fear - guillotine. If you read through the old freestyle archives, you'll see all this.
As opposed to whose names?wolfpac444 wrote: for me personally I think a number of his names leave a lot to be desired.
Irish cream has nothing to do with the moves leading to it, neither does Mullet, Blackula, ripstien, blurriest, vortex, gravedigger, Johnny Wodka, Montage, Your Mom etc. There are only three smasher moves - atomsmasher, s and m smasher and Neutron Smasher - yet the same people that use the move name Skullsmasher also call NS "Johnny Quest"
While we're on the topic of move names that have already been invented but people call them by something other than their original name. Pixie Mobius is called Proximitron (or...something very close) and was hit by John Zaleski early in 2002 if memory serves me right.

this is the 44 Wand, the most powerful Handwand in the world, so did i fire 5 or 6 fireballs? now you got to ask yourself one question pal, do i feel lucky? well do ya punk.

"Irish cream"- name makes sense; named after its inventor, or at least who HE thought invented it.
"Mullet"- a ducking move, makes some sense; a mullet is short in front, long hair in the back. move may resemble the haircut . . .its a stretch.
"blurriest"- its a stepping op move, which was originally the only requisite for it to be named a "blurry" move, hence blurriest, b/c it was more blurry than ripwalk, blur because of ita additional dex etc.
"Vortex"- ever read the definition of this word? check it out. then ask yourself if the move name is suiting. . .you will find that it is.
"Blackula"- not related by name to the double down family, but IS related to all of the other names of symposium double downs, so the nomenclature is appropriate. All symp dods are named after blacksploitation movies, courtesy of Mulroney.
"Montage"- the most fitting name; has some of each element: duck, spin, pdx, dex, body, and as we know a montage is a collection, hence this move name is quite appropriate.
I agree that SOME move names are pretty dumb or unrelated to anything, but they are for comedic effect (e.g., Your Mom)
But then again, what about Lynton's move names: Cataclysm? Wentletrapp? Icarus? Rasmus? Cyclone? How do these move names have anything to do with moves in their "families" or with other related moves? WTF is Wentletrapp? Why should we call it that when we dont even have any idea what it is or why it is a "cool" name? Am I making sense?

Just to clarify, the first symposium double down trick was Superfly. It was named this because it is SymPosium baRFLY. I always thought symposium marius should be called Super Mario for this reason. So all the other basic symp double down tricks also got blaxploitation names.
Vortex is a great name, and very fitting.
As for blurriest, that trick was named ahead of its time. So was blur. I mean, I remember blur being a fast-looking trick when i started, but really, if you look at a trick like clownface or nemesis, that`s much more of a `blur` than blur is.
Wentletrappe is a spiraling staircase. No offense at all to lynton, but that name is just horrible. Icarus, on the other hand, is very cool, but I think it would be better suited to a flyer trick. Like a blazing butterfly kick is a trick which would go well with the name Icarus. The best name for a flyer to date is Mothra, which is nuclear butterfly kick.
PS: I suggested the name cold fusion, but since Ive never hit it, I never considered it to be official. But on the other hand, it was my understanding that Geesha was either a mispronunciation of the Japanese word Geisha (gay-sha) or the Indian god Ganesha. Still, i believe some names stick, just because they sound better.
PPS: Where does the name merkon come from? Did Greg Nelson come up with this? What does it mean? I like it.
