As a kid I cared about them, but then I learned how they are decided. Members of the movie industry, actors, directors etc. get to vote. And then I realized, `hey, if I like a movie, that`s all that matters. If Tom Green and the director of ``Snow Dogs`` didn`t like the same movie, what the fuck do I care?`

Seriously, think about most movie stars. Think about the people who make a lot of the shitty movies that are in Hollywood. These are the people whose opinions determine what wins what. I don`t respect many of these people, and I respect their opinions even less.

If I think that Gladiator is a crappy B-movie which is pretentious, the fact that it won `best picture` one year means fuck-all. It`s still a bad picture imo.

hahaha yea dude perfectly put minus the part about Gladiator...i liked that movie a lot.some of it may not be accurate or crap like that blah blah blah examining it too hard,but i thought it was a good enjoyable movie all around

Yeah, "Gladiator" was over-rated. It had some good action, But WAY to much boring talking.
