yeah flux of pink indians and crass can sound alot alike but then there is that one song that just stands out like 'take heed' by flux. great song. i fell asleep drunk the other night listening todead boys 'aint it fun'. cant git that dang song out of my head now.
ever heard of peter elliot and the sell outs? its a local band but ive mentioned them to a few ppl from other places in the nation and they knew who it was. anyway...texas band. austin i believe. pretty good stuff. not the usual sounds coming from them. but a good band worth mentioning.

you do realize that when nofx is talking about"the brews" they mean jews...right???anyway...the polls are 50 50 right now...im very dissapointed about that...i would expect most people that would be interested in reading about punk bands would love alcohol...o well ya win some ya loose some i guess...

well i am going to make a few burned cds from some vinyl my friend has that i dont have and cant find. some of the bands worth mentioning would be the slits, the nuns, xray spex, and sham69.
oh and im drinking some tommyknockers maple. good stuff but one warning though. drink it warm. its not bad cold just better warm.

well we copied a few vinyl. didnt git too much accomplished. we copied the nuns and the slits. the slits....that band is insane! they go from punk to just outrageous outburst of screaming and yelling to this really good dub/raggae sound then finish the song with a gritty 80s punk sound. i am floored by this band.
omg and my friend also has this great french press picture disk vinyl of the soundtrack to the night of the living dead! if you are not familiar with the album you should look it up. it has some great bands on it.

you prolly havent heard of em before but i have two canadian bands that kick some serious ass....wednesday night heroes and dance floor disasters(both of which are on longshot records http://www.longshotmusic.com )hope you guys check em out and spread the word to some legit punkers(not those stupid twinkie kids that luisten to gc and shit) but i totally insist on checking em out and spreadin the word about them...find some music by them i guarantee you wont be dissapointed.

Kazaa and all that are most useful when you already know what you want. I wanna puruse stuff I've never heard of without spending 40 billions hours doing it to find a couple of decent tracks.

well as far as i know there really isnt a good resource of punk on the net that is free. if there is some more sites someone let me know!!! try lookoutrecords.com (just have to wade through all the pop and bubblegum on that site before you find something decent. there is a insane amount of emo on that site but there are a few gems worth the hunt though) also try epitonic.com. (ive found some hardcore and screamo on there ive never heard of that i had to have the cd/vinyl after i heard a few mp3s.)
if yer into kazaa or any p2p just ask for some band names and id be happy to help. be aware of my tastes though....i like 70s and 80s punk mostly. i own a wealth of punk though(tape cd and vinyl) so i may be able to help.
im sure none of this helped...i was just typing to hear the clickity click of the keys....hahahaha

yeah dont listen to death by stereo!!!
last night we had a smoke out. alot of smokin and punk and 60s ska all night long till around 4am. we were listening to the runaways (yes lita ford and joan jetts punk band from the 80s...i like em)and angelic upstarts and the oppressed. as for ska we listened to some big youth and the specials and the heptones and jackie mittoo. i hate 3rd wave new gen ska. it all sucks frankly unless its 60s-70s ska.

the best place in my opinion to find some good punk you havent heard before is go to a local record shop and ask someone to point you in the punk direction. i git alot of help from the people in the record shops.

ok here is a great question... whats your all time favorite punk album? i know its real hard to pick. if i had to pick one it would be punk in drublic but i guess if a box set counts as an album it would be the misfits box set, rocket to russia is a close 2nd though

I change my mind a lot but.....

a band named Four Letter Word put out a CD called Zero Visibility: Experiments With Truth That I really loved, which is atypical for me, because its all about the VA comps. Even with bands that I say I really, really, like it's usually only a handfull of songs that I actually listen to.
I dug this whole album.
