ill get it rooling by saying punk is god,cocksparrer is the shit,the ace of spades will never die,and punks skins herberts and hooligans is a damn good lower class brats album...and of course not all of you like punk so prove me wrong!

As for the rest, I'm going to have to go with Andrew and Sergey. Not because I especially like any genre of "techno", but simply because most music today is effectively "techno", anyway. Most of that punk music you listen to has been run through a computer at some point, maybe some effects thrown in here and there for, well, effect. More so, most "techno" tends to include every other genre, anyway. For example, Sergey's trip hop.

Here's my bias -- I think anyone who says "stupid techno shit" is really bias to begin with. Stupid techno shit (ie. rave, trance, house, etc.) is a dying genre, being replaced by more realistic genres that appeal to more people. I'm talking about trip hop, breakbeat, and the like.

As for punk, I honestly can't stand it. It's garbage.

That stupid techno shit? HAH... punk all sounds alike, same stupid distorted crappy guitars, same dumb drum lines, same stupid ass screaming vocals that takes no talent what so ever... it sounds like someone is puking when I hear a punk singer half of the time, either that or they are very drunk.

Techno makes people move, brings people together and dance. Punk makes people spike their hair, wear leather with studs, and break stuff.

I hear ya.

Skas a little better than punk, because it's a bit more instrumental, but I tend to be a bit bias against it as all my friends love it and it begins to get on my nerves.
