Hey

Post by Shredster »

Stepping Inspinning Osis? Nice! Inspinning is a tough concept really (but easier than spinning imo), but a step inspinning has got to look cool. Nice 5!

My newest trick was a pixie symposium reverse whirling crossbody rake. I've also hit dyno both sides and flip pdx whirl.

Ohhhkay...oh wait, I'm on Rory's computer. This is Kevin (qphox). We just had a session at West Edmonton Mall...and I got 5 bucks from some guy! :D booya

Soooo: Rory:
- Mirages, both sides, including "bsos", but not really a real string, more like toe delays and mirage on each side.
- Same deal with illusions. Props to that.
- Butterflies are coming along, including an inside set ss butterfly that I could've sworn ended with a swirl. Turns out it didn't.

And I had a fun fun fun session:
- Smear > Atom Smasher > Smear > lame lame atom smaher attempt
- Porque
- Double in-atw > Phoenix
- Assassin > Assassin
- Alpha Atom Smasher
- Beta Atom Smasher

Damn man, just damn.

So while maybe this should go into Journies to Tournies, it`s mostly a post about new moves (or moves I saw for the first time), so I`m putting it here. If anybody has a problem with that, we can settle it over street fighter at worlds.

Yah, so this weekend Maxime from France came to Tokyo to hang out and play some footbag. I hadn`t been to Tokyo in a bit myself, and was pleased to see that 20-25 people show up for shreds in the middle of winter.

Here`s some stuff I saw.

Ba Ba Kay hit a bunch of cool stuff, cementing his place as Japan`s best triple dexer. I saw him hit a clean fusion, pixie butterfly swirl for the first time, and paradon swirl. I also saw him hit fucking butterfly, and fairy butterfly to matador. Japan is getting serious.

Kim `Ghidora` hit his first little apple.

Masa Shigeoka busted phoenix swirl in my face, and proceeded to do a big ass run afterwards. Also hit a bunch of pixie swirls too.

14 year old Takumi (check out his atom smasher in the vids section) was just incredible. Good atomics, looks to have a good foundation for flipsidedness. He hit smear-pixie butterfly-ripwalk for the first time. He also hit a phoenix on demand for the cameras.

Keita Oishii ducked an atom smasher.

Yusuke (the double gyro mirage guy) hit atom smasher to toe gyro mirage on request on his first try.

And then there was Max, whom I`d met in Prague, but didn`t get to play with. Just nasty stuff all around. Here`s some of the things he hit which I can remember: pixie reverse swirl (!), double spinning clipper, zulu ps mirage, super duper clean ripsteins, symposium blizzard (it just looked like he was doing a bigass DLO, but then he switched feet in midair, so styly), pixie same drifter, bunch of other shit I can`t remember. It was just really fun playing with somebody new with such a good attitude and such a different style from my own.

More later, if/when I remember more.
Japan is going nuts! Expect 5-8 of us at worlds.

-Atom Smasher (strong side)
-Tap (both sides)

Oh, and ducking mirages/legovers/pickups (both sides aswell)

I don't even have any new moves to post...but I just couldn't stay quiet about SPINNING MOBIUS BSOS!!!!???!? That's ridiculoso...crazy props to Ricky. Oh yeah...I guess I've hit some neat muted stepping stuff lately (sidewalk, ss mirage...others too probably) but that's about it.

hehe yeah I was in Japan and it ROCKED! The scene in Tokyo is HUGE! Big thanks to Ken, Masa and Kim for taking me out and showing me around, another round of thanks for all the footbag posse (all 25 of them) who were really eager to kick even in (near) sub-zero temps in a windy park :)

Yes there is some really serious shredding going on in Japan, with a special mention to Ken Somolinos who is just awe-inspiring hitting a VERY WIDE variety of triple dexes on command and such combos as

stepping eggbeater > smog > pigbeater > pixie paradon (or something close to that I think)
or bedwetter > anything (smoke / mo fly / paradon swirl you name it)
and the styliest ps eggbeater I've ever witnessed

keep an eye on this Ken Somolinos fellow he is hitting some very very serious stuff :)

I havent played in months, but I decided to start back up again the other day. I havent lost many moves, but the problem is i can hit a 4 add as often as a clipper. Consistancy sucks, new moves:

-Parkwalk
-Pixie same osis
-Backside smear (which is odd cause i cant hit smear)
-Almost clip set original torque
