The top ten reasons not to vote for BUSH. (mudslinging)
Yeah, there was a coalition and these were the countries involved:
Afghanistan, Albania, Australia (30% of the population supported the war too!), Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethopia, Georgia, Hungary, Italy (31% support), Japan (30% support), South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Poland, Palau, Iceland, Costa Rica, the Marshall Islands, the Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Morocco, Romania, Slovakia, Spain (13% support but only with UN backing), Turkey (5% support), United Kingdom (9%) support and Uzbekistan.

Here's a letter from man who really has a right to complain about Bush's policies:
-----------------------------------
Bush cost me my job, my kids and my houses
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind. I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president I was secure and prosperous, but in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor. This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions.
They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job.
This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years.
Not a single government program was there to help me.
How can Bush call himself "compassionate?" Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My pain of losing my sons is indescribable.
While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply have nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career. I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush.
And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a Christian. If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democrat Party.
If Al Gore had been elected in 2000 I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!
Regards,
Saddam Hussein

lol, well I guess you aren't that stupid if you noticed that it wasn't... I think if you read the "letter" you will find that it is anti bush. Obviously the fact that it is claimed to be written by Saddam Huissain and your own bias towards Saddam will make you think - oh George Bush did do some good then - he got rid of Saddam Huissain. I would hope that at leat 90% of people would not vote on the issue of capturing Saddam Huissain and would understand that to claim that Saddam would still be in power if Bush were not elected is speculation. There is no way of proving that at all.Matt wrote:? thats not nice

What's that a list of? Countries that weren't in the coalition? I'd point ot that Israel was in full support of the war (or at least the ruling party was). While they were not on the open list of members of the coalition, it would be hard to believe that they would not help hte US if requested. Israel is easily the US's strongest ally. Every year the GA in the UN votes to get rid of trade sanctions against cuba and every year one country abstains and one votes against. The against is the US and the abstention is Israel. Germany offered support to the war - but were not part of the Coalition. Egypt allowed US military to pass through the Suez Canal.

# whatever the fuck we're on: no one can pinpoint where bush was during his supposed tour of duty in the air force.
Call me suspicious, but I think he's going to forge evidence that he's been there somehow... It'll pop up close to election day. Bush seems to be running a loosing race. He's going to do everything he can to get his popularity rating back up... but I don't think it'll come that easy.

1. Bush was arrested for drunk driving.
2. When asked, during his 2000 campaign, if he had ever been arrested since 1968, he said flat out: No.
3. If you add up the first two points, you will see that
4. Bush lied about being arrested for an activity that endangers peoples lives.
Now, a lot of politicians tell lies. But lying about being arrested, especially when you were arrested for such an irresponsible and dangerous crime, especially when you are running for President, that`s just unacceptable to me.
I was pissed off when Clinton lied about a blowjob, but many thousand fewer Americans die every year from blowjobs than from drunk drivers. And while people`s sex lives are arguably their own business, drunk drivers kill people. Now, while I applaud Bush for stopping drinking, that does not excuse him for lying about his criminal record to the voting public.

But Ken, its really not so bad tho . . .I mean, how many of us have gotten behind the wheel when we had been somewhat intoxicated?
There are worse things that a president can do. I do not like how he lied to us, but hey, candidates are human. They have secrets too, everyone does, and there are just some things we dont want known about us because we know others are too narrow-minded to look past them.
Im not siding with Bush, just providing the opinion that a lie about drunk driving doesnt make Bush any worse than any other political candidate. They're all assholes, which is why they're in politics.

1. Bush Has systematically abused scientists and scientific research to produce reports which justify his agenda.
2. Bush has refused to take the advice of the pentagon and recognize global warming as a higher priority than terrorism.
3. Bush only "won" by "530" votes . . . if you believe that wasn't manipulated by the press. I personally don't think he won at all.
4.Bush's daddy was bad . . . and one term. Bush is Daddy without the intelligence.
5. Cheney.
6. Kenneth Lay.
7. There are no WMDs in Iraq.
8. The economy.
9. His approach to removing freedom from america so the terrorist can no longer hate us for having it.
10. Bush keeps finding new ways to demonstrate his contempt for our system of checks and balances and his disrespect for the Senate’s constitutional role of advise and consent on nominations to the federal courts, not to mention Americans’ fundamental rights and liberties. It is hard to recall another president who has been so willing to treat the federal judiciary as a partisan political weapon.

I presume from that post that you either don't believe in democracy or don't know what it means... Which is it?carl winslow wrote: also Ralph Nader is an idiot and he is running again, now bush will probobly win for sure.

are you kidding me?
people who vote for Nader would have voted for a democrat. No republicans would vote for Nader, so every vote for Nader is a vote that a democrat is losing and everyone knows that Nader has NO chance of winning and he himself said he doesnt like Bush so why the hell is he running? Him running is helping Bush in a huge way.
Of course i would like to have more than 2 dominant partys but thats just the way it is now.
But your from australia and cant vote anyway so who cares

People choose to vote for Nader - they aren't forced into it. They do it out of their free will. I'm sure they know the consequences of their votes. If the Democratic candidates were not so conservative, I'm sure they would pick up more results. To blame another candidate for stealing votes is ridiculous. They are all trying to get the most votes. If the democrats didn't run it would give Ralph Nader a much better chance of getting elected. How do you know that people who vote for Nader would vote democrat? Why would they vote at all, given the choice of a conservative and a conservative? Ralph Nader gives people an actual choice of who to vote for and the more votes he gets, the more likely the winning candidate is to support some of his policies.
