I dont want to turn you off on this, but did you know that Adidas doesnt give a sh*t about us, or the sport? The petition is a good idea, but dont expect any kind of response..

Yes I realize that a big corperate company like that probably doesn't really care about us, but it helps doesn't it? Nothing can hurt, and maybe it might make a difference, who knows. We'll just have to wait and see.

The way they might see it is the amount of money that they make off of footbag without even knowing it... no corperation can resist the chance to make extra cash

extra cash? what we give them is nothing. adidas makes a kobe bryant shoe and makes millions. they make some 60's tennis shoe and they make like, maybe a few million max.

the idea is good i guess, but onlin petitions are never taken very seriously, and if you got every footbagger online to sign it, it wouldnt be more then makybe what, 10,000? if that.

if lavers do go out of production, im sure footbaggers will find something else. they did when the sportif ashe went out of production.

Why the hell does this petition only have 8 signatures. Wether anyone thinks that it makes a differance or not doesn't matter. What matters is that there is a chance that this petition could help lavers stay around longer and wether you think it will help or not you should still sign. I suggest that once you have a larger amount of signatures you send the petition to adidas every day until you at least get a response.

8 signatures now that is just pathetic, I feel disapointed in the users of this forum who have seen this but not signed the petition.

EDIT:I just realized that this is the first day of the petition.

is there a tentative date set yet that they plan on discontinuing the shoe? if there is or anyone knows, it should be posted. as much as we are going to try to make sure that never happens!!

This petition is going to go nowhere. As suggested earlier, online petitions barely hold any water, especially with large corporations. Also, Dave, I doubt that we'd even get a total of 10,000 signatures.

Adidas doesn't give a shit about us, and they will continue to ignore our community as long as we're a minority. You think it was profitable to make skateboarding shoes in 1970?

good, I say. If the lavers are gone, it will force a footbag company to design a superior shoe, plus it won't be made by kids in china.

Is there some reason to think that Lavers are going to be discontinued? They have been around since the 70's, right? I think footbagers probably make a very small percentage of the total Lavers sales. Props for being proactive though.

Amen to that, keep the lavers on the market, all colors all sizes!!

EDIT* Heres a solution.....next time you buy a pair of lavers, buy several. Then if they do go out, which I doubt will happen for a while, you will have a few extra pair stored away for a rainy day.

Sorry that you need to be so jaded and negetive qphox, but can this really hurt? Nope, it probably won't. So just let me and my supporters try to do our thing and possibly make an impact (no matter how small it may be), and you can do your own thing and not be involved.

If the shoe does get discontinued, it will most likely come back, and Adidas has made a whole section for their old school stuff on the web site, so i think they will stay
