Mini Abshire v.s. Regular Abshire

Hey all ...

I'm just wondering, for those who have played with the Mini Abshires, and Abshires 2004 model of regular footbag, which one do you think is superior?

What are the main differences in weight, break in time, durability, delaying, setting, etc etc. I have a mini, and I'm basically just trying to find out if I would like to invest in a regular Abshire as well.

I'm looking for opinions from anyone here, but Richie may as well step in and say his piece too, since he'd probably be the best one to compare the two.

EDIT: Changed the title, it was supposed to read Mini Abshire v..s Regular Abshire, not Regular Mini.

The standard size is great for all levels and types of play. The mini is more has a more specific performance. The weight is more centered and the break-in time is shorter. That maybe a good thing and then again maybe not. I still play with the standard size, but warm up and work on triple dexs with my mini. The last session I had with it was great. I caught myself shredding with the mini and loving it. I guess what really matters is if the bag you have delivers the performance that you are looking for. If it feels rolly, keep working on it. These bags do break-in to be choice shred bags. Hope this helps and thanks for bringing this topic up. Richie

well dave has a regular sized abshire and when me and him shred again i wanna kick it and compare it to my mini(still breaking in thought so i cant give an accurate comparison)

idk if this will help, but ive played with an 03 abshire and an 04 mini. i liked the 04 mini alot better.

I got an abshire off of monsterhack.com and I love its size. I cant really imagine anything smaller, but mine hasnt broken in yet, its only been two weeks.

The Abshire bags are rare.
People basically use mr. sandmans or bags sewn by Felix Zenger here, I guess.
I'm not sure of this, though.

without any dissrespect to richie, i still wanna give my honest opinion. I dislike abshires for a couple reasons.
1- Extremely long break in time compared to many other 32's
2-Very light which add a negative effect while stalling

I have only played with one abshire which was the shell and filler that he used and fully broken in after about a year it was still too rolly for my taste. All other abshires i've played with, the individual had replaced the filler because it was too light or wouldn't stall.

on the other hand mini's are excellent. Greatly reduced break-in time with a nice weight that renders it playable within a week. If you are thinking about one or the other, get a mini.

My new bag ROCK. My new minis have been redesigned for performance as well as the standard. I have a new model called the A910. This bags is new and unique. It has a better feel new and a more controlled performance. All of my bags have changed, not because of FC, but due to the fact that there is a need for high performacne bags. I have come up with some shred bags that meet and beat the performance of my last few models.Enjoy,Richie
