Gah. Every time I think I've made up my mind that I just can't afford to go, something new comes up to convince me otherwise.

"Sick 3" has *never* been an official contest at the World Championships. Until there is standardized criteria, it will (should) remain a demo event, at least at official IFPA events, as it will this year at Worlds.

*If you really want to comment on the following, please start a new topic. The reason "Sick 3" should not be the contest's official name (if it ever becomes official) is because it is silly to use a "fad" word like "sick" for the name of an event. Think about 5-10 years from now, when "sick" is out of style, and used more for its nastalgia, like "rad", or even further back "groovy". :) Best Combo & Best Trick. IMO. It looks like "Shred" is here to stay with footbag, so I won't argue with that one.*

Hey, I just tried to sign up as an officail sponsor, and I got:

"The page cannot be found"

After clicking "Send"

I'm sure that there's another way to do this, and I'll be sponsoring either way, but it would be good if that link worked for when Bill Gates makes his donation  .

Peace.

yeah - I thought the site was groovy!!

How do we get to compete in sick 3 then? Or are people who have never been to a footbag tournament outside of Australia discriminated against?

Ok, the contact forms should work- please try again. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Daryl. Thanks also for your interest as a sponsor. Yves is in charge of sponsorship, so he will most likely be the one to return your message.

Jeremy, "Sick 3" will be just be for show this year- for the many reasons we've covered in other discussions (judging conflicts, et al)- and it will be by invitation. Your nationality is not a basis of discrimination (of course- why would you even suggest otherwise?). You (Jeremy) may be asked to demo, or maybe not; I can't say right now, and it's not my decision anyway. However, I have an idea for the final show that you may be asked to participate in, which I'll contact you about personally- please remind me in a couple weeks if you haven't heard from me.

Thanks,
Ellis

Cool, thanks Ellis.

I didn't think you would discriminate against Australians in general - just people who were fairly unknown - like me. I've been working on sick 3 combos a lot and would be a little annoyed if I didn't get to compete. Although it's nice to have some big combos down solid anyway. I have complete faith in those doing the selecting anyway!

Thanks again.

There is no way I can make it to worlds this year, but I was wondering if there's anyplace I can order the t-shirt from, (or is getting a worlds t-shirt if you arn't actually there frowned upon) I saw if for if you sign up as a player, but since I won't actually be there I don't think that will work... I am still mad that I didn't get one at Worlds 2002 arg... I was so stupid and I wasn't into freestyle at all. Sorry for all the trouble I am new to this...

If anyone you know is going, you could get them to get you a shirt and then pay them when they get back.
