Mini Abshire v.s. Regular Abshire

i have an abshire, and i can see what appears to be the "finishing" knot, is that normal?

ok good, but also... right next to my knot there are 2 holes that appear to be from a thread that is now missing, i tried pulling it apart a little to see if it would leak any, but it was still too tight to open up, should i be worried?

Is it where the hexagons meet? If so, that is normal. They are called bleed holes and they help to remove or add beads.

Hey guys, if the thread is appearing that soon in the life of the bag, then the break-in is much too harsh on the stitching and the fabric. I have not had that problem with last 30 bags that I have made for myself and my friends. My personals undergo severe conditions in testing. The main reason my bags have changed is for performance. Keep in mind, that my bags are made to improve your game, not to compliment weak form. Some of you guys are so fast, that the touch of the bag has been forgotten. The models that I am making right now will not change for at least the next couple of years, however, I will be making new models to add to my performance level of bags. Hope this helps. I now have an Abshire mini and regular. They´re both good bags. Neither of them are broken in yet tho. The size of the mini is a bit too small for me, but I like the weight of it. I don´t know how much bigger the regular will get, but right now I think the size is very good.

Yeah they generally break in to be the size of an original before it gets broken in.

I just wanted to say how much I LOVE my new mini abshire bag!!!! I have been using Mr. Sandmans since I started playing, and while I sucked with the abshire for a few days, i.e. torques and osis were harder, my control is wicked now! The bag forces you to -catch- it, and once you put the effort into catching the benefits just start showing immediately. I now have more control then ever, and I am sure this is just the beginning! THANK YOU SO MUCH RICHIE! Your bags are truly awesome, and btw it took 1 session to break in my mini bag, and it stalls/sets like a dream. Aaron Orton was trying to sell me on them for a while, but I never beleived him. I will never use another bag. The weight is just perfect, and it has made stepping ducking/pixie ducking much easier. You can just feel the bag like no other bag I have played with.

Go get an abshire bag! You will thank yourself!

Cool review, but I really don't understand people who say their Mini Abshire was broken in after 1 session. Mine took months to fully break in, and was still extremely rolly after the first several sessions.

ya i have been breaking in two minis for more then a month now and they are still not there, I know if their bags are the same as mine that there is no way they could be broken fully in one month let a lone a week let alone a day imho

Well, mine's still "rolly" to me, but I've been shredding 2 years with a Mr. Sandman... and you might've seen my "ability" in my video... in the video section here. But I still love my mini. It's making double dex moves a LOT easier. Stalls are really hard for me now, but I'll get used to it.

My level is strong tiltless, and on the verge of going guiltless in the next few months.

I've been kicking for long enough to know when a 32 panel bag is rolly against when it is broken in. My black/dark blue Mini was rolly during my first session, and long after that as well.

Perhaps you had a color scheme that was easier to break in, or you are simply not bothered much by bags that roll so you didn't notice it (ie. more skilled).

That's about all there is to it.

As an aside, even Abshire himself doesn't claim that his bags are perfectly playable right out of the package.

I'm sure if he was designing a 32 that was perfectly broken in after one session he would probably be using that as one of the selling points.

Instead, he gives tips on how to break the bag in, and also says that he personally uses a bunch of bags at once, all at different stages in break in. Key word is stages.

I still stand by my word that there's no way you can fully break in a 32 in one day. Perhaps make it playable, but not completely broken in.

I definitely agree with this, because I'm noticing it. But hey, it's helping me out - just kinda frustrating, and will be for a while I suppose. Gotta be patient.
