Whoa Mr. Kennedy.

You should be bottling that soap and selling it with the type of beads you use as a break in kit. I'd pick one up because I HATE breaking in bags with my hands. I'm always afraid I'll ruin it and kicking takes too long.

I hate using my hands when I wash my bags . . . I must not know my own strength, but when I was first starting out I destroyed quite a few while washing them.

I'll see what I can do towards puttiing a kit together and finding online distributors to carry it.

Would you advise washing a synthetic suede sand-filled bag?

I've heard lots about Facile, but what of SS?

Same thing. Facile is synthetic suede, but synthetic suedes are not all facile. It should be fine except for the sand. It might be okay. I don't test bags with sand. I can't give you an expert opinion on that type of filler. If it doesn't leak, then it would probably be okay.Hope this helps,Richie

Alright this is all aimed toward washing your bags...what about actually break in? any tips there? I do the basic hand rolls...finger massaging etc but is there anything more?
also, i think it depends on what kind of "cleaner" your using to wash your bag. I used Finess shampoo/conditioner then some watered down fabric softener on my old free add (facile 32 panel) and it became extremely stiff after it was fully dried...was a major bummer

Use mild hand soap and rinse completely. If you want to rush it a little,wet the shell a little, then roll your fingers while squeezing and go up and out at the same time. That should loosen everything up.

What if you use the cologne scented shampoo that comes with your cologne? I like my bags to smell good.

I wash my bags after every session. They always smell good and clean. This will also increases the life of the bag.

one time i didn't get all the soap out of my bag and i used shower gel to wash it and i left it to dry.

the next day i went to go and kick it and it was as hard as a rock

but had a very nice smell

when ever i break in a bag i just carry it with me wherever i go. like i mean everywhere. if im in line at the store im working it in my hand to pass time. just keep it with you at all times and figit with it. shred as much as possible and when your done just keep it with you. im serious buddy before you know it's going to be a part of you and youll know every inch of it.
As it goes for washing it...nope ive never washed a bag. why would you wash it anyways. whenever mine gets wet in the rain it feels weird for a few days, like its shrunken or something. blah. its up to you, oh i rub patchuli oil on mine and knead it in my hand. so theres my advice. knthnx bye.

Yeah. faseonepk's right, that works.
How much would you say a footbag gains size in the break-in process? I'd say about 10%, roughly. Ten percents can make a big difference, so break-in is necessary.

i wonder if putting a bag in a rock tumbler with some marble sized ball bearings would work, that would be fucking awesome, im going garage sale shopping and im going to find a rock tumbler

Hate me for posting but,so it is not good to wash sand bags? Is it completely fine to wash pellet filled bags or any of the other bags people like Lonn make? I know she uses like 3 different things and I was just wondering.

I'm thinking if you wash the sand filled bags, the sand will turn into a sort of mud, or it will clump up like kitty litter. But I don't really know. Never tried.. never had the extra bags...
