sonic youth.....i don't know, i don't think sonic youth would be considered punk...not of what i know of them, unless there is some secret hidden sonic youth punk era that i am not aware of....hahahaha. what do you think..and if your vote is punk do you have proof?

ive never spent much time listening to them so i dont know where they sit.
i got to hear the whitey album by a band called ciccone youth. its a side project for sonic youth...very interesting. alot of noise experiments...but some good tracks like a remake of madonnas burnin up and into the groove...as well as a robert palmer rehash. *shivvver*
someone told me they are pop/rock.(same goes for ciccone youth) i dont know.

well, the local scene here is pretty mixed in age. most of the younger kids involved with the local scene are pretty genuine so i dont notice too many age differences.
when i do notice a difference in age, its usually the 'younger kids' that strike me as fad followers and they dont come out to shows unless its someone popular (most of the time).
its pretty easy to tell the diference between the fakers and the punkers...the fakers are walking hot topic advertisements hahaha
