this is because 99,99999999% of all the people have never heard of footbag

I just explained it to some random girl tonight. It would be sooo cool when footbag would be a common name! But on the other hand so we have our small and friendly comunity!

I really have to go to bed now ;)

i dont know if this has been posted before, but I saw a movie called 'Rushmore' the other night, and the main character (some 15 yr old kid), I swear was wearing White Lavers with blue trim for the entire film. There isnt one footbag scene in the entire film though :?

I dont know how many of you watch 'The OC' on television, but in the Christmas, where Seth Coen tells both girls that he should just be friends with them, right at the end he is sitting on a deckchair outside his house and as the camera pulls back from him, you can see he is wearing shiny new Red Rod Laver shoes. i thought it was pretty cool!

Thanks to Katrina, who posts on this forum sometimes, for pointing it out to me!

There is a commercial for post Cereals giving away footbags in the box. They actually call it footbag.

They are for soccer, I think they stamped FIFA on their footbags.

I saw this 70s and or 80s movie called Hardbodies once about this surfer guy that picks up chicks at the beach. That's seriously all it's about.

There's a scene with a circle in the background on the beach.

In `Bend it like Beckham` the protagonist girl kicks some vegetables in the kitchen footbag style, but its more like soccer ball juggling. Still, since the veggies were small, it reminded me of footbag. :)

Mr. Hollands Opus. It was filmed in Portland when I was going to high school an hour away. My friend was an extra "hacker" in a very, very brief scene.

I don't know if anyone knows what Corner Gas is... it's a canadian comedy series that actually kinda sux. But anyway...
You know how in most tv series' they have a few main characters and each character basically has their own little mini-story that's kinda linked to the episode as a whole? ... god i'm bad at explaining things... anyway...
One of the main characters in this episode of Corner Gas that I just watched picked up the hobby of "Hacky Sack". But it wasn't just your typical tv thing where they stick to the widely known term of "hacky sack". In fact, the character corrects another character who called it "hacky sack" by explaining that "hacky sack" is only a brand name of a footbag and that the real name for the sport was footbag. I was blown away!
Has anybody else seen this episode? Or does anyone else know anything about it? because it seemed to me that they must* have talked to one of us freestylers about the sport... either that or they did some research and found one our many footbag websites.

Shizzle, I gotta go study.... midterm on thursday!! :(
