I'm in agreement on this one. It's all well and good that you hit it but...Kiser_Tobias wrote:Unless you're as good as Yeves, barefoot (ie, hitting alpine ripwalk, etc), then barefoot doesn't count - in my books.
Even people who play barefoot only play barefoot at most 15% of the time (and I think that's being generous). How many people stand around in a circle and when asked to hit a move say "hold on let me take my shoes off first".
It's cool that you hit the move, but it's not under your normal kicking circumstances and not really repeatable under normal conditions.

Yeah, that was pretty much my point. You gotta concider normal playing conditions before you concider the move as being hit.Splint wrote:I'm in agreement on this one. It's the same with sealing a trick (or Sick 3 to be specific). In sick 3, if you don't catch it, then the combo's not hit.
The same should go for hitting tricks like 3ATW. If it's not done in shoes, then it's just not done.
hmm - I think hitting a move in bare feet counts - as hitting it in bare feet. Just like hitting a move once counts as hitting a move once.
If there is some general concept of hitting a move - I tend to not say I've hit a move until I've sealed it. There are number of moves I've "hit" recently that I haven't mentioned.
I guess I personally don't care much about single tricks - so hitting a move but not being able to hit anything out of it doesn't mean anything to me. But so long as you have fun - I guess it doesn't matter.

I am totally confused about the barraging comments......
anyway...
Wow, it seems like tons of people have hit this trick. I remember a few years ago when Alex won a Big3 competition with toe>toe>3ATW. I guess it shows that just because a few people do it, doesn't mean that those people are the only ones who CAN do it. I think the same was probably thought about Sunil a few years ago, he was the only one doing barraging, now everybody's doing it.
ps-Slipknut speaks the truth, I did hit it this past weekend at SE. I posted this thread last week hoping that I would hit it soon.

and the relavant part of my post: as of may 03, Sunil stated (in regard to TATW) "never really tried it"
which doesn't mean he hasn't it it since, but I was one who figured he hit it long ago
