Footbag Promotional Sticker Designs

I would like to start this thread off by saying that; Footbag Rocks!

The next thing I ask is; How do we promote the rocking of Footbag?

Then I answer; Make stickers!

This thread is for throwing around ideas about footbag stickers, then all the graphically inclined members can produce working copies of the ideas that come together.

Some things to consider;
- Be selective of websites that you promote, some (not naming any names) will find excuses to make your life a living hell.
- Pictures need to be appropriate for all viewers (same with words used...)
- Any layouts made need to be done in at least 200dpi for post production work
- Everything you create needs to be available to everyone, no copyrighted material at all
- If it sounds stupid, say it anyways. Others might be able to expand or adapt ideas.
- If you have questions, ask them too. Graphically inclined members might be able to clear up some questions about the design process.

Lets get some mad design brainstorming going on here! I can help with many aspects of this thread, and I am able to produce any preliminary and template designs to get some people started, just post your thoughts and we can get some promo stuff done!

well... i absolutely LOVE modified... but when i was getting into the sport i was scared to come here. WAY too much to read

on the other hand flipsider was so beginner friendly with the easy to use media section and beginner help that it would be good to promote (if possible)

I think promoting modified or even footbag.org is the better option.

Most other sites (like flipsider) already have a 'style' to them, and that's the impression they want to give off.

That's just a thought. I mean, I still use the flipsider url on flyers I give out, for that very reason... because the site is beginner friendly.

I'd say keep it to Modified..
Flipsider is great.. But, I know
whenever I got something from
Ellis, he always sent a sticker and
a few cards.. So, I just pass those out..
Modified has nothing.. Accept for this
wonderful community...

I do think, that sometype of URL, that would
lead people to Bags for sale, would be great though..

One of the biggest problems, is that newcomers
don't have bags and don't know where to get them...

I know, I haven't found a single store down south here,
that sells some... Revolutions... or anything of the sort..

I really like, that sticker idea that was made up in that other
post... That was sweet.. Forget who made it at the moment..

But, I liked, alot..

I don't like the idea of keeping it to modified. What beginner in any hobby/sport wants to go to a website with just a forum on it? They need examples and resources, not just boring discussion and pages of threads to read through.

Why not all three? It's not going to hurt anyone if footbag.org, flipsider and modified all had stickers, or were on the same sticker. The more resources for people the better.

I think Modified.ca should have a logo or something recognizable to the site. I also agree for the use of publicity, footbag.org or flipsider.com would be better sticker choices because people who see a cool sticker and decide to check out the site would get a better understanding of footbag through those two sites that go over the sport. It would be better than a forum.

Hey, great input guys, keep it coming!

I will come up with some sticker templates for us to utilize in the coming week. I will post download links here.

The templates will be in .psd format so everyone with photoshop can edit layers and imagery.

How about someone makes a site that has tons of various good footbag links on it. For example links to good forums,video tutorials,places to buy bags and shoes and so on.

That's awesome that you're putting them in .psd format, perhaps we should see who can modify a sticker and be picked favorite? Even if it's just for fun... perhaps I'm just an idiot, who knows?

No man, thats a great idea, we can make a whole bunch, and then we can all vote on the best one(s) and get them printed up.

They would be in a file format so all you had to do would be to put it on a diskette and take it to a printer and they would be able to just print them off for you.

That would be sweet.

i like the sticker idea, but instaed of talking what the stickers are going to be placed or where to be used, we should hear some ideas of what the strickers will look like. its good that we have ideas where to put them, but shouldnt we make stickers then see which ones fit in diffrent spots (modified, logos, banners, hand-out, and so on)

I like yours alot too Ryan, I love the design of it. Only thing I would change, personally, would be the actually text of modified, maybe a bit smaller, or better contrast or something to the rest of the images. But really nice designing...

Justin, if you do use my design (and I hope you do), could you send me some of the finished product? Also, I used Photoshop, so if you need it, I can send you the image in pretty much whatever format you need.
