Well I just got home, after another 10 hour or so drive from West Virginia (we kept getting lost because Interstate 77 turns into 81 without telling you, and then we'd keep on driving for about 30-40 minutes before realizing it... so we would lose an hour or so of time, plus we were stopping to eat and stuff). The jam was pretty cool... although we didn't get to go for the second day. So let's see, I got to "shred" (in quotation marks because a) I was tired so I wasn't hitting anything and b) I totally got skooled) with Josh Gayhart, his friends, Bob Glasser, Brad Nelson, Ryan Thomas, Jake ??, Caleb Abraham, and John Mahood... probably some others, and I might have spelled these names or gotten them mixed up or something, but I think they're right. So let's see... I didn't really bust anything good at all. I felt like I played horribly... I hit one new move, Pixie Legover. I think the most valuable experience was John helping me with clipper and downtime vs. uptime concepts. So now I've got that to practice. Everyone was really nice and helpful... everyone reacted well to my one big move, Ducking Dragonfly... haha. And I hit Smear>Paste a few times... other than that it was really painful and I was sore because I still haven't completely healed from my ACL surgery, I guess. Apparently they were rewarding people with Hermeys, but I missed it (damnit!) haha. Oh well... watching the jugglers was pretty cool. Another good memory was falling asleep on the gym floor (because we left to get there by 11 at 2:45 AM, and still got lost and got there at 12:30) and waking up to hear Bob talking with some jugglers about the similarities between juggling and freestyle footbag. I thought that was cool. We got some good pictures, but it'll be a while before I get them ready to put up here, and by that time I guess everyone will be more excited about East Coasts. Let's see... thanks to everyone for coming out, and for the West Virginia club hosting us there. It was a great experience.
ohh yeah wv was a good time..lots of fun. I kicked on and off all day saturday, met some new people, and tried juggling pins??? i think thats what theyre called. Had a classic night shred saturday ending at the eatin park for their midnight special. Good food right there!!
The jugglers put on a cool show for everyone in this little theater. They were all real nice and said to come back next year. They were always willing to teach us and john and some others put on a footbag clinic for them.
Sunday went well, did some more rock climbing and a lot of filming cause i kicked the night before. Ping pong , swimming, rock climbing...there was alot of other stuff to try out besides footbag so that was cool. Prob 15-20 freestylers showed and alot of jugglers.
Thanks goes out to the WV's who put it on...john.brad.bob.
**oh some videos will be up shortly**
