Double Symps?

Post by Chris Hanratty »

I was thinking about some symposium moves the other night, and I started thinking if it was possible to do a double symp dex. I actually thought of three different possibilities.

(#1) Symp. Double Dex -

By this I mean, performing a symposium dex, followed by another same side dex before the plant. So it would be like a Symp double mirage, if you get what I mean. You'd be dexing the bag twice, both while not planting.

(#2) Back To Back Symp Dexing trick -

With this one, it's just as if you did a Symp Mirage, and then after the plant, doing another symp dex. So dex (without plant) > plant > dex (without plant.

So have this been hit in any moves? If not, can you see it being possible anytime soon?

Symposium barroque has been hit by Vasek, and superfly is a fairly common move, each only get one symp add as far as I know. Plenty of tricks with a plant between symp dexes have been hit, including atom bomb (full symp atom smasher), full symp tap, and symposium whirling symposium whirl (I'm sure brad has hit this by now?)

Yeah I kind of figured that something like that would be possible, and would only get one symp add. But doing two symp dexes, with a plant in the middle I would really like to see, and wasn't too sure about.

I've hit symposium stepping symposium whirl, and symposium stepping symposium mirage. I've come close to symposium stepping symposium double over down.

Mr. Grommet: nice stuff!
I tried that also but it ended up looking more like a symp. whirling xbd rake thing.. Anyway I also tried symp whirling symp whirl. That'd be pretty tight also. You hit/tried that?

What about back to back symps? Like doing a symp mirage, but doing another symp dex (in to out) with the same leg before the bag hits the ground/foot.?

If I understnad you right, that move would only get one symp add. I think you described a symp. Barrage. To recieve two symp adds in one trick, The two dexs have to be either reversed (in to out followed by out to in) or executed with different legs.

Hmm, Is that correct? Or am I totally wrong?

Symposium Tapping Flail (2 Symposium Adds)
 Both dexes in this move go from out-in.
 Both dexes are done with the same leg.
