So whats the difference bewteen uptime and downtime? Also so pixie is

outside kick>in out dex>op toe? Or can it start from just a toe set?

hmm, I always set pixie from toe, whether it's uptime or downtime. Downtime: the bag is dexed after it has peaked.
Uptime: the bag is dexed before it has peaked and the move is considered a "set" and doesn't necessarily have to be caught on op toe.

Uptime pixie set followed by a mirage:

Another way to think of it is in-out atw bailed to op toe

Haha, are you trying to confuse the guy?

That's a same side no plant mirage in my books. Although the move 'pixie' is labelling on footbag.org (and probably others) as TOE > SAME IN [DEX] > OP TOE [DEL], I rarely ever see the word used to described a single trick, it's normally used to denote a dexing set. I think 'pixie' should only be referred to as the set, that is TOE > SAME IN [DEX] > whatever, as long as the initial dex is uptime. For instance if someone told me they hit a pixie, I'd say 'a pixie what?' as in, what did you hit it to.

I guess I don't have the authority to actually claim this, since I did not invent it (whatever you think it is). Whoever initially named it would be able to clear it up without question, but I think a 'downtime pixie' is a contradiction in terms.

I disagree. A downtime pixie isn't a contradiction (in my opinion), it's a pixie, done downtime. A pixie is a 2 add move, it doesn't always have to be a set.

After the explanation of downtime and uptime I don't think what I said would be very confusing at all.

I really don't have anything constructive to say, but I'd have to strongly agree with Cole there...

If the next component is done with the same side as in the pixie before, I've seen that people mention it's pixie ss.
Exception: Pixie (ss) clipper = Toe>Same in>Op Clip.
Toe>Same in>Same clip would be Toe Drifter (as far as I know, I might be wrong in these)

OT: Yesterday I was skooling pixie ducking and kicked to my mouth

I think they're both the same when you look at jobs, but personally I perform a ss mirage and a pixie differently. They don't feel the same even though they look alike... I guess all I'm saying is that although they are different tricks, it doesn't matter what they're called. Everyone will have a simular impression of what the trick will look like from a description using either name and if they see the trick then there is going to be no problem no matter what you call it.

Yes, they both have the same jobs, pixie and SS mirage, but it's performed differently. Pixie you set and dex. SS mirage you set, plant, then dex.

^^^ I'm gunna have to vote no on those names :)

The move already has a name, it's a mirage that happens to be on the same side, and in the initial movie it was without a plant. You would never call a pixie ss mirage a pixie same pixie right? Is a atom smasher an atomic set followed by a pixie? No, or at least I've never heard it called that.

Also, same jobs != same move. A stepping far muted clipper is not the same as a drifter. A surging muted far clipper is not the same thing as a votex, even though they are the same jobs wise (plants and all).

Actually a mirage is set from the opposite foot that does the dex, and this is set from the same foot that does the dex.

This move is actually an anti-legover.

If any trick can be done as set (Paradon, Whirl, Mirage, Reverse Mirage...) then any set can be done as trick.
So Pixie set is set and Pixie is trick - uptime and downtime.
Tsiangkun wrote:This move is actually an anti-legover.
Anti-moves are flying clipper/inside ending moves done with toe, like:

SET (jump) > OP IN > OP TOE is Anti-Dagonfly
Anti-Jester is Flying X-body Toe Kick
Anti-Butterfly Kick is SET (jump) > OP OUT > OP TOE KICK
